Milsurp rifles are not bargains anymore!
That's the first thing anybody just getting into milsurps is gonna bump into lol.
In fact the prices are bloated & outright delusional in my opinion.
There's a few deals, but they're slim.
I'll suggest:
K11
K31
G1911
Carcanos
M83 revolver
M70
CZ82
Just about everything else right now is way above what you can buy brand new rifles for etc.
I don't generally wander up into the several hundred dollar milsurp area personally.
The Springfield M1A is a great gun

They went up on price so much, you’d be better off buying one of the new food quality inexpensive ARs or PCCs.
All of those guns are the equivalent of purchasing a classic mustang, Camaro or 911. 30 or more years ago the surplus firearm and 22 rifles were a affordable introduction to the firearm world. Today a basic 22 rifle is the poor mans introduction into the firearm world. I have since sold most of my classic military and lever action firearms and replaced them with the cheaper modern weapons. Let's not think about todays ammo prices. Inflation has destroyed the middle class.
People don't realize yet that we saw the single largest shift in wealth under Biden in American history.
Back in the mid 80s I bought a SKS for $100 should have bought two for that price

The Enfield didn’t fire a .306, it fired a .303.
I have a colt 1911 combat commander, a sks, and a Springfield m1a1. I am Marine once a. Marine always a Marine
Mosen Nagants use to be very cheap even the ammo. Now they’re expensive like all these guns are now .
Shows a clip from Saving Private Ryan with a sniper using a bolt action (while they describe the Garand)
One can get a 1911 of good quality for less than $500.
the last time I tried to buy surplus firearms was 45s there were conditions attached I couldn't meet.
