I got so many errors when flashing stock ROM to my Poco. When you mentioned about the back ports, I was like 'Hmm ooookkk? Worth a try' and then the flashing process went smoothly. PC is really weird

How do you put the phone in unlocked state?
getting an error saying "erase not allowed in lock state". My phone is soft bricked so I can't go to the settings
Does the same method work for upgrading firmware? I have unroot device, but facing automatic shutdown problem frequently but it can turn on after sometime. Thought of upgrading to higher firmware to see whether it solve the problem or not

Doesn't work if you have OnePlus 8T port installed . You will stuck on boot loop . Your device won't support stock MIUI .

Using twrp, I don't have pc
This method will not lock your bootloader but will just go back to stock miui and remove twrp.
1) download rom file (miui)
2) boot to twrp and go to install
3) choose the rom file and make sure the 4th option is NOT checked so keep "keep twrp injected" empty.
4) wait for flash to finish then format data
5) boot to system
troubleshoot not showing after the restart

No other option to avoid getting hard bricked.
How does this avoid getting hardbricked? I dont think it guarantees that there will be no hardbrick and there is no method which can guarantee that ur device will not get hardbricked. Best option is to sell the device and buy a new one cause the hardware is too damn cheap

Flash Xiaomi.eu and restore L1 by going into settings> fingerprint> payment> the download all certificates. Then just flash back your rom

You don't have to lock bootloader to claim warranty.
Are you sure?.. as I've heard that the SCs are insisting that 8f you've changed your ROM or rooted your device then you you've to pay in full
You don't have to, but some service center taking advantage of this accusing of the issue of bricking was due to installing custom ROMs cuz they assume you unlock bootloader to install custom ROM. To guarantee your warranty claim just to be safe it's better to lock bootloader. It really depends on the service center.
It's better to do so. You can always unlock the bootloader again once you get your phone back. Make sure to use the same mi account that you used before so you don't repeat the wait time
