I knew this video existed!!! I just bought quite a few lures on your website, to catch more fish and to enter the fkats class tournament. But i saw the Buggs lures and wanted to know more. Searched for this video and here it is🤘🤘🙏
I always have one rod with a buggs jig. They work awesome all the time, not only for sight fishing. I have caught tarpon (big ones), reds, snook, snapper, jacks, goliath grouper, sheepshead… almost everything. It’s an awesome lure
Sorry about your fuel misfortune! I’m a baitcasting guy myself, what rod and line were you casting that Buggs jig on? I noticed you were using the SLX, and I use a lot of them too, including the SLX BFS from Japan. I did just purchase the 6’3” Bryan Thrift finesse topwater rod. I think that may be a good choice for the Buggs. I’m fishing from a kayak and making relatively short casts. I’d like to know your opinion and what line and size would you recommend? I’m trying to find the Diamond Illusion copolymer in NC, but I’ve had no luck and didn’t see it on Sodium’s website. Thank you sir and better days ahead!!
In the water, that Rabbit fur appears to behave like Maribou. The fur is probably a tougher material, with a longer potential lifespan. Lot's of potential ... I'm on it.
I bet the rabbit fur would look killer if he made them a lil longer and straight but made it like a buck tail that goes on a spoon or a sprite , as a trailer
Any bright ideas on what to do with the contaminated gas? I'm fully serious. What do you do with it? STORY TIME: In 1986 a friend did something similar. He took off the gas cap, got distracted, and put the gas spout in a rod holder. Needless to say, the gas was removed by pulling out the drain plug. They say bad luck comes in three; I'll save the other two bad luck stories for another time.
Since I only put 3.4 gal of Diesel in 22 gallons of gas… Im giving it to a friend who has a huge 31’ Yellowfin and he will add it to his 180 gallons in his boat. At that point its diluted enough to be used with no issues

Thats a great share David… thank you. It’s a versatile lure!
Definitely going to look for the Buggs. I did the diesel thing backwards. Gas in boat then truck. Glad you got it out
Yes got it out and refueled skiff with a full tank of no ethanol gas
Here in texas we use bfs setups to cast 1/16 and 1/8 oz buggs jigs in marsh.
I know I am a subscriber to the RXangler out there in Texas
Just back from a month of fishing
In SGI. Curly tail and trout thumper..man they crush on the strike
Tom it’s a great lure and Heath at Buggs has done a nice job 👍🏼
Hey Cap! What's the rod/reel combo here for that light jig? Looking to pickup a baitcaster setup for lighter lures up to smaller mirrodines.
Yes sir! Sight casting machines.
The only jig I use in the keys for bonefish and permit. I have caught them both on the bitty and permítalo bugs.
I remember you telling me it’s the only lure you need for bones
First like and first comment love your counter captan ca!!

Their bass jigs are underrated 👍🏻
What rod are you using in this video? This looks like the SLX DC setup you had in another video.
Fitzgerald Micro Jig rod its in the Bryan Thrift Series

Woody I couldn’t have said it better
I watched someone pump gas into a rod holder, didn't notice till the bilge pump turned on and pumped the gas back out onto the ground.
😂
Before reading your comment, I shared this same story.
That’s awful, Wow
Nice red bro
I did the same thing with my dads truck. Got sidetracked by a buddy. Filled it with gas. It was a Duramax. 😂
Ouch!

You remember when I put diesel in my Marquesa 😅
Yep… now me 😂
I almost sank a jon boat in Pensacola bay because I forgot to put the plug in at the ramp before I launched
Several incidents at the fire department with DEF ending up in the diesel tank. Kills the engine in case you were wondering.
Good to know
Better than all the people who pump gas into their rod holder and flood the hull with gas lol.
