Its so amazing for you all to be talking about Neal Stephenson. He has been my favorite writer for almost 10 years, I've read all his works and its all amazing. Though I know it would so hard to put into a video, you all should try to do one on the Baroque cycle from him.

Neal Stephenson is my favourite author and Snow Crash is one of his best. Cryptonomicon, Seveneves, Anathem, Diamond Age are all really great too. His writing certainly isn't for everyone but if you like his style his stories are just so good. If you can get through those and enjoy them, then the Baroque Cycle is his historical epic series and worth a read.

darn it, i was thinking that the 'So you haven't read' playlist would be continuing on with other books, since 'Extra Sci-fi' was limited to a timeline of oldest to near recent novels. but perhaps if they had to make a new Extra History book club playlist, surely they'd intend to be trying to cover another area of literature that doesn't involve Mytholigy, Sci-fi, or just well sold novels.
Holy sheets. I had vague memories of reading this book more than a decade ago. Most of it went over my head back then, but I loved the beginning of the book. Now that I know the name of this story, I'll have to go and revisit it.
Thoroughly enjoyed these literary videos, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't thrilled for the return of Mythology way more. Definitely right up my alley and it was greatly missed. Extra History is still my favourite, though.
I read snow crash when I was a little kid and it blew my mind! The novel has a very approachable style and the narrative is very fluid. (even with the long intermissions of Sumerian mythology) Growing up it has been very sad to se Neil Stephenson turning into one of those crypto libertarian - types peddling for useless NFT ponzi schemes.

My dad introduced me to this book in middle school and it was so whacky. I've read it several times over the years, and lord it is such a ride.
Extra mythology returning lets goooo!!!
Whether I've read the subject matter I always enjoy these videos! 😀 I love extra mythology, history and all your other videos too. I subscribed in hopes it helps bring So You Haven't Read back for another run, and just as a general thanks for your awesome content.
Thank you so much for your kind words and thank so much for subscribing! It helps us out a ton!
So you haven't read has been awesome, but I do love the Mythology a bit more. I am willing to wait for every single content you make. If you want a book to check out, highly recommend Jasper Jones and a Myth I like the most is the story of Tam Lin. Hope this helps
Ooooh, thats an amazing segue.
Great job on this series! Your channel talked about 2 of my favorites of the cyber-punk genre! Thank you!!!
Sad to see this go (though what a book to end on) but happy to see mythology coming back. All the best.
Clicked on it, even though I've read everything by Stevenson. Even the baroque cycle which took me months because I kept falling asleep.
Loved this series! Definitely a reason for the added books to the bookshelf! Thank you for demonstrating the wonder of stories!
extraordinary effects and an alluring book. good job guys
This is one of my favorite books! Seriously love that I had this assigned in college
I love I love that Extra Mythology is coming back!
darn it, i was thinking that the 'So you haven't read' playlist would be continuing on with other books, since 'Extra Sci-fi' was limited to a timeline of oldest to near recent novels.
but perhaps if they had to make a new Extra History book club playlist, surely they'd intend to be trying to cover another area of literature that doesn't involve Mytholigy, Sci-fi, or just well sold novels.
So you haven't read has been amazing. I hope it will come back one day.
In glad your still here
Really liked your ethiopia series
Man you guys really undersold just how bonkers the pizza delivery is
Love the Critical Role reference at 12:12.
Hero Protagonist, what a name. Loved this book back in the day. His System of the World series is a masterpiece. Err… should be
these have been great, but I am TOTALLY pumped for some more Extra Mythology!!!
Can't wait for this series to come back and introduce me to even more classics I can read!
Holy sheets. I had vague memories of reading this book more than a decade ago. Most of it went over my head back then, but I loved the beginning of the book. Now that I know the name of this story, I'll have to go and revisit it.
Have read it, and it's one of my favorites. Thank you.
Thoroughly enjoyed these literary videos, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't thrilled for the return of Mythology way more. Definitely right up my alley and it was greatly missed. Extra History is still my favourite, though.
I've been in the middle of reading Snow Crash! Crazy timing.
