Does anyone know if there's a similar video covering Gotrek's speech about why he is convinced that Felix Jaeger would have become a Stormcast? To me, it's one of the most moving parts in Realmslayer, but I can't find it online. The precise speech, for the curious, is this: "He slew a Chaos Dragon, storysmith. Have you ever done that? He followed me to the darkest places of the Old World, all the way to the Chaos Wastes, and back, all on the strength of his word alone! Twenty years, we traveled the world, before I released him from his oath so that he might go home and be wed! And even then, he managed to be there beside me at the very end! If there's a hero amongst the Stormcast Eternals worthy of even polishing the manling's mail, then I'll cut an inch off my beard! He wielded the Hammer of Fate, a weapon that only mighty dwarven heroes can normally lift, and he wielded it against a Blood Thirster. Gotrek and Felix probably delayed the destruction of the Old World a dozen times. So ya not many of the Stormcast are worthy of polishing Felix's mail.

Gotrek might just run out of beard unless he specifically means lords of the same quality of a member of the Varanguard or Khorgos Khul, in which case the number drops massively
Brian Blessed is always superb, but I have to praise Jonathon Keeble for his performances in these books too, he's one of the better audiobook narrators around in my opinion.
At this point I think they should throw Gotrek into 40k and reveal that he is lost Primarch of II legion, Squat Marines. That's the only good explanation for how badass he is.

Since Soulslayer book Gotrek has accepted his place in the Mortal Realms, and does not want to die anymore. He wants to live a worthy life and improve life for the common man/aelf/duardin in the Realms and ironically make them less reliant on the gods.

And Snorri hasn’t seen him ever in the land of the dead and neither had Max or Ulrica, and the other dwarfs. But the last people to help Felix was Maliki who also isn’t seen to be dead. And if I’m not mistaken when Gotrek calls out to Felix in The last book of The Realmslayer book Felix hears him and calls Gotrek Also Max did a reading on Both Gotrek and Felix’s weapons both are formidable p, both giving power to the wielded, also I do think that Gotrek being refused to enter the Ancestral halls after being hit by a trebuchet while defending the walls of Prague shows that some force has plans for Gotrek

Recently the original Slayer novels by William King have been released on Audible Trollslayer Skavenslayer Daemonslayer Dragonslayer And Beastslayer is the latest thus far. This is old school, if you're used to Gotrek and Felix behaving the way they do in the later novels there might be some character whiplash but the books themselves are phenomenal and my personal favorite is Daemonslayer.

Blessed is such a miscast in this. Gotrek is always written as taciturn and surly, not bellicose and booming. Blessed is a magnificent actor but he's just too...joyful for Gotrek.

Hard agree. I *adore* Brian Blessed; he's a national treasure. But as awesome as his voice is, it just doesn't fit the description of Gotrek's voice in the books. Gotrek needed a very harsh, very deep northern English accent to match the description in the books. Brian might be from Yorkshire, but he lost his accent a long time ago thanks to his training. He does a brilliant job with the material, but he is IMO not the right fit. Having said that, at least he's a *good* wrong fit.
