I’m not allowed to bribe my friends on set anymore 😔💰
Haha, Jasmine you are so calm and collected, could never be me
F
Why would we care?
Who really wants to do that, seriously?
Get revenge
Can you get Katie to do another one where you pick a recipe
But!! You're beautiful!
OK, am I the only one who preferred the Fun In A Glass over the Swedish Tea Ring? Like, everything from the unique look to the lack of raisins is appealing to me.
Absolutely, much more original
@@raitonvedan2527 well the tea ring is supposed to be traditional not original
@Croissants & Coffee
Why is it so fashionable to not like raisins? Soooo many of my friends claim to "hate raisins" but then I watch them scarf down my oatmeal-raisin cookies and my rum-raisin ice cream. Y' all bs.
@@lisahinton9682 I don't hate raisins either. I just don't like them in my breads and cakes, like many others here. I would probably wolf down Oat-n-Raisin cookies and Rum-n-Raisin icecream too. I also like rum-n-raisin flavored chocolates. I just don't like raisins in anything bready. Y'all making so many assumptions, yo!
@@lisahinton9682 i personally don't like how it has weird sweet taste. It's like weird sweet mini honey-ey dates to me..
The entire time I was like ‘ok, that’s going to be something like a cinnamon roll.’ But it turned out to be a Sweden Tea Ring..!!!! The Unpredictable elementals of these videos makes it more fun to watch...
Damn lol shouldn't have scrolled down before the vid, good thing i don't know what a sweden tea ring is anyway
@Rebeka Khatun "Swedish" not "Sweden".
This is is basically a cinnamon bun lol, I've never heard of a swedish tea ring but we often make flat long-shaped buns that you cut in pieces and "fika" with
“What about being nice, it’s the holidays” 😂😂
Nope 😂 that’s not in her Katie vocabulary in this episodes
@@powerrangers5673 what about being mean, it’s the holidays 😭✋
@@idied3192 that too. But it’s more of daily thing for most people
Big brain
What if I'm*
Can Jasmine make one of her own recipes that's been translated 50+ times?
No.
@@elbaecc bruh
YES!
@@ann_quinn8327 lmao pls 😭💀💀💀
@@jenhxney7659 huh? I meant bruh to that person who wrote „no.“
I feel like Jasmine is getting better at this and learning non sense language 😅
I just love jasmine’s energy when she said ‘say nice things!’ Wish I could do that haha
Yeah Tasty, I've been waiting for this for sooooo long!!! I've been playing all 6 translation videos in order during my morning makeup daily and now that I've got one more on my playlist I can't even wait for the next one!! Keep up with this series and I really want more, this is by far the absolute best content on Tasty!!!!
Wow (⊙_◎)
I totally agree!!! 😍😍
Swede here, I've never before today heard of, or seen, a "Swedish Tea Ring". but I like what I see....
vetekrans!!
I'm a Swede Finn but I've never heard of it either
@@Amanda-xq7pn
All American doughy sweet types of breads are "decorated" with a glaze. Since this is a bastardization of a European recipe, the glaze and cherries have been added.
Katie's red flower reminds of the Friends episode where Phoebe wore a big ornament on her yellow dress 😝
Confused swede here 😅
I googled around a bit and it seems like the basis for this recipe is Swedish ( or at least I recognize it). The ring of dough is the correct way but the filling is weird. We have a bunch of different braided types of sweetbread with some different fillings. But I don't think I have ever seen raisins in this typ of pastry.
Some examples of fillings I feel are more Swedish:
Cinnamon & sugar
Almond paste (usually homemade with shredded almonds, sugar and butter).
Custard
Pistachio paste (made like the almond paste)
I can agree to the simple glaze, even if I don't see it often on this type of thing it's not something I would say is too weird. The cherries though, no, no, no. I have never even heard of those cherries outside of American recipes.
I do understand that some of these things might have been changed with time and with the Swedish immigrants making their own spin on it. But I felt obligated to leave this comment to speak for native Swedes about this topic.
@lazerapes
I wondered if this was authentic and suspected it was not because I haven't seen marachino cherries in any but American recipes. Thank you for letting us know how the Swedish sweet breads usually are. I wish Tasty would pin your comment to the top so everyone could read it.
@@lisahinton9682 Thanks for appreciating my comment. I felt a bit weird about leaving it originally. But I didn't see any similiar comments when I scrolled down.
6:24
Katie- Have you made Dutch oven bread before?🤨
Jasmine- No actually it’s my first time🤗
When she said "Alexa, play Christmas Music on Spotify" my Alexa started playing Mariah Carey 😭
Mine did too.
Mine told me I have to connect a Spotify account first, lol.
Jasmine: "That silence was so loud" Hmmm.
*Being quiet, loudly*
OMG yes 😍 It feels like ages! I love how they decorated the set with golden question marks (it must've been so damn tedious) and Grace looks really good as well! 👍
Happy holidays, everyone! Stay safe ❤
I'm nearly certain you translated the recipe into Irish, because (on step 6) the word cinnamon turned into channel, and "cainéal" in Irish means both of those things.
I think if I ever try to make this recipe, I'm gonna honor Jasmine's decisions:
1. I'm not putting raisins in it
2. When it's not baked yet, I'm gonna roll it up, cut it into sections and turn the cute little pinwheels out because it just looks so cute like that!!!
Because I wanna eat Fun In A Glass too!
I love Jasmine's more than the original. It looks like something we sell at the bakery I work at. I hope everyone at Tasty has a happy holiday.
My respect for Jasmine grows every single episode of this series
AHHH I'm so happy there is anyone episode. I have been waiting forever for a new one! I love these so much
This is lit my fav series and THEY BETTER BE YOURS AS WELL
Great timing! I was getting depressed. This will lift up my spirit just fine.
10:56 another throwback from that episode where Mimo gives the most cryptic hints 😂
There needs to be more of this kind of thing
I like it so much!
I’ve been waiting for this one. Seriously these are all I watch on this channel
FINALLY!! Someone that ACTUALLY pronounced Yoruba CORRECTLY!! Prove right here, you can learn to say the correct pronunciation!! Well done, Katie!!
Hello fellow African!!! I'm from Ghana.
@@amabrew2073 What’s up, Neighbour!! 😁😁😁
@@DebbieAkano Oh, you know. The usual. Heat, politicians, more heat.
@@amabrew2073 Ain’t that the truth. I hear that.
Omg omg I go to culinary school and we just learned about Swedish tea ring so I knew so far into it. I was so excited, that was most definitely fun in a glass
I think Jasmine is so used to this that she already knows what to do
Yeh so true
i'm Swedish and i have never heard of a swedish tea ring so i'm confuse on where you find it. Love the concept of this videos.
Same here :D But I guess it's a "vetekrans" that over the years changed a little bit and turned into a "Swedish tea ring". But I'm still very confused about the Christmas part. How is it Christmas related?
@@evamcj That is true it could be a (vetekrans) but also cherrys has never been a part of the Swedish kitchen and the Christmas part will still a mystery.
@@lunaanderson1222 That's true! I guess that's one of the so to say surroundings adaptations. :) But it's plenty of dishes world wide that have the name Swedish in it... and many of them feels very unswedish for a swede :D
I just love these videos!!! Tysm TASTY for continuing these series.. its thr base of ur channel!!
And I really enjoy when Katie and Jasmine torture each other
"I would dream of nothing more!"
LMFAO😂😂
I loooove this series!
"That silence is so loud" said no one ever...until today 😆
As soon as she said to form it into a loop I was like- oh wait is that a Swedish tea ring? I love this show, and I can't believe I recognized one of the recipes I learned from my Great-grandmother on it!
Please don’t stop this series!!😂😭❤️
