Idk man, to me autumn plains is a forgettable home world. Maybe I just got sick of the message "Returning to Autumn Plains..." Due to the millions of tries with the infinite flight glitch before I found out that you only need to press up when being spat out of the speedway portal.
I agree with the list for the most part except honestly I always preferred Summer Forest to Autumn Plains, both have almost equally great scenery but I like the ambient score to SF slightly more.
@@ClassicGamerX11 I remember one old 4chan thread where people were posting cozy landscape pictures etc and somebody just posted a screenshot from Autumn Plains :D i have goosebumps just thinking about it!
I can't really say about Spyro 2 and 3 as I sure only played the 1st one and have been put away from the 2nd game. And still haven't tried the 3rd. But I really have been amazed by Summer Forest vibe. And won't forget the Artisans world from where everything began. An awesome video Sam. I love your tops and all the trivias you share each time 😄Thanks so much
I’m glad you enjoyed it. 😏 trying to get you to play more spyro. I do enjoy finding trivia for the videos so I am glad people do read them. Do you think they stay on screen the right amount of time?
@@ClassicGamerX11 eh sure I will try back at some point, I really have to complete the og trilogy. It's too bad I haven't really played the PS1 games back in the days. Concerning the trivias, considering i'm not reading very fast or that sometimes I have to read twice some words to get, and even sometimes I'm watching the videos at 1.75 their speed to catch up everything when I'm late, it's ok for me ^^
I'd probably give it to Autumn Plains as well but I would have Summer Forest number 2. I'm a sucker for Spyro 1 home worlds so they would make up pretty much 7 - 3 for me. I don't know what it is about Spyro 3 but the world's just never clicked with me.
@@ClassicGamerX11 that’s something I wouldn’t agree on in my personal opinion brother . I have to much crash Bias. I played every single crash game from the age of 5 until present with the exception of Handheld games. While for Spyro I only ever experienced it fully for the first time last year
Another lovely ranking video Sam. Im not overly familiar with Spyro 2 and 3 all that much, but it was cool to see all the homeworlds in the same video and see what you thought of them.
You should play spyro 2 or 3 or both more. I can't remember which ones you streamed on reignited trilogy if you ever finished them. At least you are not telling me all my opinions are wrong.
I would rank them like this, 1. Summer Forest. I will never forget when I entered this level the first time, and the music took me away. 2. Evening Lake. Unlike everyone else, I adore swimming levels. Also the whale is a fun surprise. 3. Autumn Plains. I love the visuals, and it has the best glide in the trilogy. 4. Magic Crafters. This level is just fun to play. 5. Artisans. It has a lot of nostalgia and it just feel good to move through. 6. Winter Tundra. The chill calmness, the sense of winter frost. 7. Dream Weavers. I like the look of the place, and the cannon is fun, but chasing fools are annoying. 8. Sunrise Spring. Perfect starter world, but doesn't stand out much. 9. Midnight Mountain. I don't like the layout much, but kicking the visuals have a lot of good, and beating up Moneybags is great. 10. Peace Keepers. Nothing interesting visually, though the cannons and rude gnorcs are fun. 11. Beast Makers. I find the colour scheme ugly. 12. Midday Garden. Just kind of bland. 13. Gnorc Gnexus. Only memorable for being tiny.
I think overall spyro 2 does have the best ones. I wonder what the spring homeworld would have looked like. I have so much nostalgia for the artisans. Trying to make the glide. Seeing the portal to toast for the first time. And eventually working out what the stepping stones do.
Gnorc Gnexus could've been so much more. It was originally known as the Machinist's World yes and would be steampunk themed, but was cut because of time. I personally love Gnorc Gnexus though. Just wished it had a fourth dragon head next to Gnasty's Loot and it would be blue. I've loved the industrial vibe in the Gnasty homeworlds.
Nice list! Autumn Plains is a good choice for number 1. I think I actually like Summer Forest a little better as a homeworld, but because I like the Autumn Plains levels better, I have a slightly better opinion of it. This is also probably just nostalgia, but I think I would have put Artisans at number 2. There's just something about it that holds my heart.
For sure Autumn Plains has to be the number 1. I remember spending hours as a kid wondering how to get all the orbs (especially the gliding puzzle one) while that super calming ambience played in the background. Loved how chill the Spyro 2 home worlds felt 👌
Some good choices there. I would probably go for Artisans & Dream Weavers from Spyro 1 as my top 2. Artisans probably for simplicity and Dream Weavers due to those weird enemies.
The enemies is why dream weavers is a bit lower for me, I find them annoying. But can't argue with artisans. it's a well thought out level and very nostalgic.
For me Dreamers World would be higher and Peace Keepers lower, but else im close to agree. I think I would rank them like this Gnastic Gnexus, Beast Makers, Winter Tundra, Midday Gardens, Sunrise Spring, Peace Keepers, Evening Lake, Artisan, Summer Forest, Midnight Mountain, Magic Crafters, Dream Weavers (Magic Crafters and Dream Weavers depends on the day you ask me btw) and last and the best Autumn Plains, and no other homeworld are even in competitor
It was also possible on ps1. You can also do it on dry canyon right at the start and kill the gnorc with the bird that's at the end of the level up on the cliff. I am not sure how i found out you could do that. I think i just randomly did it by accident one day. Thank you so much for watching and glad you enjoyed it.
Nice choices. I am not sure if a build of the game exists with them included but it would have been in a cave near where the whale circles. But was cut from the final game.
The original trilogy is amazing with very few flaws. Enter the dragonfly ruined the series for me for a long time. A hero’s tail is meh, some parts are ok but don’t enjoy it overall. And the legend of spyro games just were not for me. I’m hopeful that a new spyro game will do something similar to crash 4 and go back to the roots. Without the difficulty of crash 4
Totally agree that Autumn Plains had to have the number 1 spot. No other home world makes me as happy 😊 glad you like it too Sam
That’s awesome and yeah it’s such a beautiful place to explore. If I could chose to live in any homeworld I would pick autumn plains 🍂

Yeah it's tough to choose between them. Spyro music is so amazing as well.
I love midday garden, as a kid I used to farm butterflies there, its also home to my favourite level Enchanted Towers 😁
My fav are all from Spyro 1 except 2nd and last ones + Summer Forest and Autumn Plains from Spyro 2. I think aesthetics of these are just amazing
Yeah each homeworld is unique and special. I hope there is a spyro 4 and they keep the idea of homeworlds. Autumn plains is Just so peaceful

I'd have put Peace Keepers way further down the list, don't really like desert type levels in games
This makes me wanna replay Spyro.
I only played the trilogy once on the remake and I haven’t touched Spyro since then
You should play it again.
I would say it's equally as good as crash.

There is always time to replay it.

Homeworld's, not levels.
