    At 17 years old, 52kg this is super impressive. If you can't appreciate that she's doing some brilliant work and is in great shape then there's really no need for your comments. This video isn't really about comparing yourself and feeling superior or getting defensive. Just enjoy her efforts. Ignore the title of the video, it's still great work.

      +Lukas Knox u r 100% correct. I am 5 10 and weight 170 and i am able to do everything that she was able to do. the only difference is that I do i muscle ups with control and do handstand push ups in a middle of a room WITHOUT using a wall to help keep balance.

    • @mongoosekhan3079

      I can do almost everything except the handstand on ring part. And my deadlift, overhead press and bench press is more than her. Deadlift 365 Bench 225 OH press 195 pushpress 205. And I am only a 16.5 yr old guy. She in NO WAY out performs professional athletes, although i would definitely agree she is good and strong. And I will surely be able to defeat her in Arm wrestling LOL. But considering the fact that she is female and can do such at such a young age i do appreciate it and hats off to her.

      Narong Road can't you see why? The title claims she is outperforming professional athletes which is a laughable statement.

    • @narongroad7916
      @narongroad7916 8 років тому +6

      Frezzo Actually there are a number of athletes in different sports who could not do some of the things she is doing.
      For example an NFL player may have the lifts beat but they probably aren't tumbling.
      A soccer player may do the pull-ups but they probably couldn't do the the handstand push-ups. That's not even factoring in the strength to weight ratio. So technically the title is not even wrong.
      But even if the title was wrong, who cares, when the performance is so impressive.
      Truth is that most people are being stupid about the title because they feel threatened by her athleticism or some other aspect of her
      I find this sad
      Those people are clearly using the title as an excuse to be disparaging

    • @femi9879
      @femi9879 8 років тому +8

      Narong Road So you're saying that because you can do one move that a professional athlete can't do, then you're a better athlete than them despite the fact that you're not even close to being a professional athlete? Lol that logic. Using your logic, I outperform most athletes because I can do muscle ups. That's hilarious.
      Her strength:weight ratio isn't exactly impressive either tbh. It doesn't translate well in women if you're comparing her to guys as well because females weigh less than males due to bone density and skeletal structure. She's also looks pretty short and stocky from this video.
      "But even if the title was wrong, who cares, when the performance is so impressive."
      You see, that's why you don't understand why everyone else dislikes what this video claims. It's basically lying to us all. She isn't outperforming any *professional* athlete here, by doing crossfit. It's like a video claiming that the person in the video is the best singer alive and they don't even sing in the video to prove it.

  • @aristolochene
    @aristolochene 10 років тому +41

    There's a reason professionals are professional. They are fucking elite. It takes great effort, skill and talent to make it in any professional sport. Don't disrespect professional athletes with this title. She is in great shape and might be able to out perform some junior high athletes, but anything beyond that is worth debating.

    Most 17 year olds......heck! Most any year old women can't do what she does. It may seem stupid to some of you, but especially for women, what she is doing is amazing. And she is only 17, which means she can keep improving. It's not like she's just stopping here. Her point is to get other girls inspired, and I am a forty something and now motivated by her video to keep going.

    don't get me wrong, this girl is most definitely amazing. Getting to that level of fitness take serious work and dedication, for age 17 that's unreal! I'm just curious why the title says she outperforms professional athletes. Cause I assure you if you compare what she's doing to anyone who gets paid to compete in events that use those skills, 'definition of professional' The professionals are better at it. Why not just say, "She's fucking amazing" why do you need to lie about it?

    • @ZingZapZong
      @ZingZapZong 9 років тому +6

      Proto it may not be lying, but it's definitely misrepresenting. For one, she's definitely not out performing profession CF athletes.
      A few years back and quite a few pounds overweight and coming off just quitting smoking, I out performed a professional, Olympic long distance runner 10 year younger than me, in an hour long aerobic workout. I kid you not.
      It was in the pool. Because, I grew up swimming and while I was never on any swim teams, I did compete in some long distance open ocean swims and triathlons. The runner was not a swimmer, and had poor technique.
      So yes, I out performed her. I wouldn't out perform her in any kind of run, even if measured in inches, I'd out perform her in any type of run. Nor would I seriously go on about how I out performed her.
      That's why this video is misrepresenting. You had to find a table tennis player for her to out perform. At that point it all becomes meaningless. You can always find somebody that can out perform someone else.
      This video is basically saying that CFers, even this girl, is more fit than any non CFers out there, even if they are professionals athletes. That's not true by a long shot.
      We can all agree that the girl rocks on her own and doesn't need to be compared to anyone for that to be true. A title like the one for this video just makes Cross Fit look bad.

    • @greenLinkLP
      @greenLinkLP 8 років тому +1

      Yes she outperforms professionals from other sports that don't need specific exercises,but that is a stupid comparison.Ok compare her to table tennis players.Their biceps are way stronger than hers,they completely destroy her at squats(have you even seen Chinese table tennis players legs?)and the have a stronger back as well as stronger abs than her.The only thing that she might be better at is the ring exercises.Maybe

      Well Cecilia; I can tell you this...there are people that work hard to accomplish a goal, which are few and far between. The majority of people whine and criticize those people in order to try and bring them down to their level. It makes the whiners feel good about themselves; knowing that their criticism creates an emotional effect on the goal orientated. The real key is to stay focused on your goals, and not bother yourself with whiners.

    She seems happy, fit, and healthy, good for her. However to out perform a professional athletes then you'd have to compete with pro athletes, and beat them at their own sport. How long would she have lasted on a tennis court with Serena Williams when Williams was 17 winning major tournaments like the US Open?
    There's a lot more to sport and being a pro athlete than a clean and jerk.

    • @MikeLibbie
      @MikeLibbie 10 років тому +3

      The idea here is that she can do A LOT of different highly skilled, athletic things, which will confer an ability to produce a higher power output than probably 90% of the population her age, including specialists like Serena Williams. Serena's advantage would be her skill with a racquet and ball on the court, but that's where it would likely end. Of course a specialist is going to beat her at whatever the specialist specializes in. At the same time, though, as athletic as she is, she would be able to learn any sport faster than the average person.

    • @benmonaghan7955
      @benmonaghan7955 10 років тому +16

      Mike Libbie It's an impossible comparison to truly make. All she is doing in this video is Gymnastics/calisthenics and Olympic Weightlifting; she's no way near the level of a professional athlete in either.
      The only thing we can objectively say she outperforms anyone in is dat ass.

    • @MikeLibbie

      Christian Pan True. The title caught your attention, though, which was probably the point of the person who made it. As a coach, I understand the other aspect of this, which is that professional athletes in common sports, like baseball, basketball, football etc. generally speaking aren't very broad in their athleticism. For example, you would think that a squat would be pretty easy to coach someone like that, but usually, it's a disaster, let alone snatching or something gymnastic. I know. I've worked with them. So when a person like the girl in this video can show a basic level of competency at a wide variety of skills and drills, it shows she has a well-rounded athleticism, and would outperform most specialists once they're outside of their sport. I guess it all comes down to how we define "athlete". I have a definition that I work from, but it's likely different that what others may have, if any.

    • @TheZooCrew
      @TheZooCrew 10 років тому +1

      Mike Libbie
      *For example, you would think that a squat would be pretty easy to coach someone like that, but usually, it's a disaster*
      What the shit? You can't be serious. Have you EVER interacted with college-level athletes, let alone the pros? They know how to squat. They know how to do pretty much all of these movements aside from the Olympic lifts. They receive coaching far beyond that of any Crossfit coach. This is pure ignorance on your part.
      *So when a person like the girl in this video can show a basic level of competency at a wide variety of skills and drills, it shows she has a well-rounded athleticism, and would outperform most specialists once they're outside of their sport*
      I think you are completely wrong and your definition of "athlete" is mostly meaningless. I feel there needs to be a strong distinction drawn between "fitness" and "athleticism." Sports are predicated mostly on skill. Fitness is merely a supplement, especially past a certain point. I'm a former 1st singles varsity tennis player, and at the height of my skill, I still faced off against little fat kids who kicked my ass. Crossfit HQ argues the opposite point, but they're just flatly wrong. See my previous post.
      What does "well-rounded athleticism" even mean? What does it prove? What use is it? I'm also a soccer player, and do you really think it matters one tidbit if I can do more burpees in a minute than the dude who just burned me and put one in the net?
      What you're basically saying is that this girl (and most decent Crossfitters) are mediocre at a bunch of shit. Meaning they're not meaningfully competitive at any of them. This is _exactly_ why Crossfit had to invent its own competition...it makes you "good" at exercising and not anything anyone gives a shit about.
      Personally, I wouldn't care at all if it weren't for the Nebraska-sized ego of the entire Crossfit organization and the "we're real athletes" mentality. No, you're (not you specifically, Mike Libbie, but the royal "you") not real athletes and you're not "elite," and if you'd just admit that Crossfit is merely an alternative (half-bullshit) fitness routine, I'd have no issues.

      Mspandaninja88 I completely agree with UpaGammer... You don't label a button exo-thermal liquid if it just gives you warm water. She does have great form, explosive power, and even a moderate endurance. However, the one big thing that show's the wrong tittle is that she does not have the movement patterns down to a science. Not to say that she is doing any of the exercises wrong, but professional athletes train in such a manor to utilize every motion in their exercise to achieve maximum preformance. Much like a race car driver has to find the perfect line through corners. Her deadlift form needs to be improve from what I saw (butt down,back first then legs), But enough criticism, she is none the less, very impressive. She has excellent knowledge of the exercises and looked like she enjoy's it witch is a plus. She must of had a great trainer... or really tough one...

I knew a handful of people on the football team in high school who could probably lift as much or more than her and they weren't professionals. Don't get me wrong, her message is a great one and I couldn't do any of the stuff she does but if you're going to put "outperforms professional athletes" in the title without proof of that just to get more views you're definitely going to tarnish what she represents. While the internet can get you fame instantaneously it can also ruin it just as quick if you're not careful- literally, it can. If you do it enough you'll get more hate than you want. I'm sick from reading all of these unsupportive comments. If you don't like her, then stop watching her. I would like to see all these haters try to do this. This is amazing for a 17 year old girl.

    We got another future crossfit games athlete here! As far as the out performance, she's about as strong as me and I'm no where near a professional olympic lifter. She is smaller than me though. And she's definitely better than me at bodyweight workouts.

      Brandon Croxton Your name can be both sexes. For a male you are pretty fucking weak then, unless you just started. Or unless you are doing crossfit ofcourse...

      CB Toshidomma i know what it's called. i do it too. and no, anyone cant. tell that to my friends who are overweight who try. i can do 10 strict pullups and still , with a kip, have a very hard time getting a muscle up.

      Lauren Clark
      The USMC teaches kipping in Basic Training to help with the pull-up requirement of the PFT.
      And that's what she's doing here.
      Why are you arguing,just because she can do things that you can't?

  • @Kalervo80

    Those arent muscle-ups, just like flailing around like that during pull-ups wouldnt count either.

      She's a fucking joke compared to guys like Hannibal for King, then you have Olympic gymnasts who are levels above Hannibal who is already freakishly strong for someone that did not receive formal gymnastics training.

      Nobody denied that. All im saying is that no proper muscle-ups were done in the video.

      All I can say is Which professional athlete is this chick outperforming? Hannibal isn't a professional athlete, never competed in any Olympics yet he is something that this girl will never even get close to becoming. Do you even know what a professional athlete is? People like Kianoush Rostami and Chen Yibing are professional athletes.
