- After a week working out of state, my neighbor from hell is back for the weekend for a few drives over the topsoil he had kicked about the previous weekend, see My Neighbor From Hell ACT I revised at • My Neighbor From Hell ... and of course, multiple trips from his garage behind my house, to his house across the street with some more kicking, but this time he incorporates the spreader and the lawn mower to blow the gravel & dirt into our car. He used to do this with the lawn mower before we had the driveway done. You could hear the gravel hitting the cars.The silver car driving in & out is the Neighbors other car, The silver car in my driveway is my brother's, whose family was staying here from Alaska for my mothers funeral. Obviously they were stunned and shocked by this neighbors behavior. Stay tuned for ACT III coming soon.... It gets much..........
That dude would be hospitalised very soon if he moved next to me. Not by me, but by some unknown masked burglar.

I had a neighbor like him but someone god knows who with a mask on knocked on his door and broke his jaw and fingers , wish I knew who it was so I could thank him him but he’d obviously pissed someone else off . Police knocked at my door saying the offender was the same height and build as me but my wife and kids and brother said I was round his house watching the football . Never did catch the guy and the neighbor moved when he came out of hospital . Hope he learnt a lesson a though

I had the same trouble with my neighbor. I went to the local junk yard. Bought a $50.00 car and had it put at the corner of my driveway. My neighbor from hell complained about it so I bought another and parked it in the street. He moved 2 weeks later

My neighbor I swear had his dog trained to leave the yard when it was out to shit. It always went to another neighbor's yard, a really sweet little old lady. One morning I awoke and looked out the window to find the dog shitting in my yard. I went to the shed and grabbed a shovel, scooped it up and threw it right in his pool. Within 2 weeks he had a fence built.

He might not have as we had a dog ( kelpie ) when I was just a teenager and from the day we got him he would never crap in our yard back or front he always had to go away from our home so it ended up being my job to walk him so he could go for a crap fortunately where we lived had bush nearby so he always wanted to go for a walk and a run.

I had neighbors like that and I dug a big trench about 2' wide by 2' deep and put up orange construction tape and a sign saying caution, under construction. My neighbor drove across his lawn as he normally did to drive down my driveway and got stuck. He called Police and the police asked why he was driving onto my land when it was clearly roped off and a sign was up? I left it like that for a few months telling him overtime he complained that I hadn't gotten around to finishing it. He called police, called the city and I was never charged or ticketed as I had signs up and the area taped off. After my neighbor started filling in the hole so he could drive across it, I hired people to dig it out again and took him to small claims court since I had them on camera and won and they had to pay for the people to dig it out again. Eventually, after almost a year of having a good time with them I put in a 3' cinderblock fence reinforced with concrete and rebar. The neighbor hit it once with his car and learned it was solid. I also filed made them repair my fence for that too. Since, my neighbors don't drive across my land anymore and I had great fun making them pay. You might try it. Oh, and if you dig a hole and sink in rebar, it will pop a tire if they drive across it and it is part of the construction process...not boobytrapping.
This area is what we call "no man's land". It's owned by the city.....the city owns a certain amount of almost all the front lawns. It's like an easement but they actually own it. So our neighbor assumed that meant those areas in our front lawn were for his exclusive use to park on, drive on and intentionally damage and harass. Of course, if someone is innocently coming up on the lawn once in awhile to go around another car etc, then that's okay but this was vandalism as you've seen. But we couldn't plant a tree, put up a fence wall etc because we technically don't own it although we are suppose to maintain it. So every time he damaged it, we had to repair it. He and the other morons were finally set straight and told by the police chief that they should be driving on the pavement only and that they are to stay off our lawn. Posts were put in to keep them out and no parking signs put up on our side of the street. This, of course, made them nastier but was effective.
Well, I'm sorry you have to deal with them. I feel like a couple of baseball bat wielding guidos could fix your issues permanently but that may be the more extreme solution. LOL

I had a neighbour like this a few years back. I moved. Yep, I've read all the comments about "if he lived next to me he would be a dead man walking" etc, but the truth is neighbours like this do not give a shit what you do or say, they will always escalate things beyond the acceptable of normal people, hence I just moved. The good news is, I sold my house to an even worse scutty family, so now they can live in the shadow of arseholes....it's called 'Karma'....

Everything you mentioned sounds like plan except for the sticks & leaves. He's use to kicking up all that dirt as he walks by so better off laying a plastic across the pit covered with dirt. As far as the pit goes, I'd make it 6 feet deep!!
I believe that you have all the proof that you need for (1) trespassing; (2) Malicious destruction of property; (3) Harrassment. Get him arrested. Once that is on his record, take him to Small Claims court to have him replace the sod, soil, and repair any other damages he's caused.
But how about destroying his car with a steel rod in a fake bush first?
Plus get an order against harassment. Then he can't even go to his own house!

This reminds me of my neighbor that we share a driveway with. They would use our lawn and a lane to exit the road with. Wound up putting up a small rock wall that he would run over and each time he did the rocks got bigger and bigger. He called zoning on us, we invite the zoning officer over to check it out along with the video of the neighbor running them over. Rocks stayed and the neighbor got a warning to stop being an ass.

Actually, I just saw a news report in which the neighbors on a street got together and took a bad neighbour to court for being a nuisance and won, and the bad neighbour was forced to sell their house and move.

Many years ago my dad had a similar issue with our neighbours. He placed an octagonal concrete block on the corner of the garden and painted it white so you couldn't miss it day or night. Needless to say the neighbour drove over it and wrecked the bottom of his car, beaching it in the process. When our neighbour started arguing the toss over having put it there my dad simply smiled and said 'it's on my property'. End of argument, end of problem. He used to love telling that story to people, and so do I. Lol!!

Drywall screws are too brittle and would probably snap and not go into the tire. Grip-Rite exterior screws work better. You only need about an inch and a half sticking up.

My neighbour's contractors and delivery vans would always back into my drive to position and turn around. The resulting damage to my edge blocks, garden and lawn were never acknowledged or repaired. The neighbour did not want the large vehicles to use their circular drive for fear the asphalt would get damaged and they'd have to trim the trees. I put put two big boulders of about 2000 lbs each at the sides of the entrance. The propane delivery was the first to hit one and proceeded to berate me for putting them out. I told him none of the delivery guys to my place ever hit them so he might want to get some driving tips from them. Haven't seen him since. A different driver makes that delivery now. I have no problem backing my 25 ft RV r my van and 10ft landscape trailer between them. Didn't go so well for my wife the first time she backed out.....

In the US litigation requires some kind of monetary compensation in order for an attorney to take your case. Being annoyed is not likely to be awarded any monetary value, and attorneys get in trouble for frivolous litigation. So no, you can't sue.
You could present them with a quote for repairs and if they refuse to pay, file in small claims court yourself. But you can't seek compensation for damages just because a person annoyed you. And in my eyes there is nothing to repair here. A pile of dirt is expected to be tracked and disbursed. Sodding the area would solve the problem immediately, but good luck convincing a judge it is your neighbor's fault you don't have grass.
You could file a complaint and summons, see a mediator and seek resolution. But that is an awful lot of work for both parties, and could result in a negative outcome; maybe this is technically an easement in this area and there is nothing that can be done, maybe the property line is actually not where the poster thinks it is.
Other than that it is up to the police to make an arrest and for the prosecutor to file charges, which they probably wouldn't. You can't press charges against a person, prosecutors can but do so at their own discretion.

When I was a teenager, we had a neighbor who felt he owned every inch up to the concrete of our driveway, and would park his car up to that point. I was driving an '83 Gutlass (that's an Olds Cutlass with a 231), so I didnt mind a few extra dings and scrapes, so I'd back in with my pass. door to his dr. door. Neither one of us had collapsible sideview mirrors, and I got pretty good at having the two mirrors damn near "shake hands". They had a boat that he'd pull behind; sometimes so close to it, that he wouldn't be able to move his car out of the spot without ripping both of our sideviews off. He had a nice, newer car. He stopped parking like that when I kept him stuck for 2 days. The weirdo was 65 living with his 88 yr old dad; not to take care of him... he just never left home

Fucking sad... I had neighbors doing similar shit for years. After no help from police, mayor, courthouse, lawyers or anyone including friends or family, I locked myself in my house for over a year to try to stop being harassed and avoid trouble they were causing me but they were still able to make enough shit up about me that I was sent to prison for absolutely nothing. After making it out alive,When I came home, friends and family had stole everything. My house, everything in it and most importantly my 2 therapy dogs, my kids, my loves, my heart... 4 years later I'm still homeless and forever broken hearted with no reason to live.
Because no one did anything about it, because it wasn't happening to them. I even reached out to Ellen and Steve Wilcos for help. Well I'm proof that this can happen to you too... No matter how good of a person you are...
No one should be able to treat anyone like this. Wake up and stop these people wherever they are.

Get some small chunks of raw chicken . Let it sit, sealed at room temp for a couple days. You can sneak over late some night, and stick it in various places unseen, but he will get a nice aroma. If he has a newer furnace which draws fresh air in from outside. throw a piece in the pipe! Theres usually 2 plastic pipes sticking out of the wall at basement height. His home will smell wonderful as soon as the furnace or AC is turned on. And he'll probably never find it. If his car is unlocked, stick a piece up under the dash or up under the seat.

I have a brilliant and I mean brilliant idea.... place something with a good insured value and have it added too the home owner's insurance therefore if it's broken or damaged a report can be filed which would cover the damaged item the labor involved and the "emotional distress". That should get him.
Heck, with this video, just claim a new paint job on the car his insurance company. Let them contact your neighbor's insurance company regarding the claim. Then go to court with the video.
