Why bypass when you can make a parallel oil flow path, so that you don't lose 5% of bearing oil? Also, a parallel path actually reduces the flow resistance of the full-flow (single) oil filter system. In other words, the return path of the fine-filter should connect to the outlet of the normal spin-on oil filter that came with the car or truck.
Thank you for being part of the channel! You actually do not lose really anything. The design for the oil pump and pressures takes this into account. There is plenty of extra pressure and flow for the bypass valve. Amsoil has been making bypass filtration since the 60’s. I believe they have it in hand. Call Amsoil and ask for their technical team and you will speak with a Tribologist.
@@peterssynthetics-independe6786 Only with a variable displacement oil pump that uses oil pressure feedback to adjust pressure. Some engines have that, I don't think the majority of engines have that. They usually have fixed volume displacement pumps.
@@softwaresignals I would agree. However, you are not losing any oil pressure/lubrication to the engine components. The bypass does not hinder the flow, or flow rates in anyway. Some engine manufacturers expect a third party bypass system and they design in ports on the engine crankcases etc etc for this express purpose.
I used to be a avid amsoil user. Anymore though in the north the road salt eats the vehicle long before the engine has any issues. Usually 100k miles is about my limit before I get rid of them because by then rust is becoming a major issue. I have found you can pretty much go 100k miles on just about any type of oil as long as you keep up changing it. I use whatever I can get in bulk and sleep soundly
I agree 100%. I also live in northern Ohio and cars usually last about 10 years which for me is 200,000 miles. I’ve used conventional oil, Mobil 1, and Red Line in separate cars, all of which were able to hit that 200,000 mile mark with zero engine problems. No reason to buy the liquid gold priced Amsoil.
Amsoil is more expensive, but it’s such high quality that you can safely extend the drain interval to 20,000 miles, saving time and it will cost less and easily go beyond 200,000 miles!
Ever try their heavy mp? Spray it all over the underside of your vehicle and it'll be rust proofed. I am also in northern ohio and use cosmoline. I have proof it works. Heavy mp is about the same thing as cosmoline.
I live in Michigan & haul travel trailer's for a living with my 2011 Ram 3500 dually will hit 1 million miles next week. Been using Rotella 15W-40. Wish I would have known about this system when I bought this truck. Might have saved me some repairs. The truck is still running. Thinking even at 1 Million miles to switching to Amsoil.
How would you know how far you’ve pushed the hose down the dipstick tube? Seems to like it would be pretty difficult to pull from the top of the oil level and not pull stuff up of the bottom of the pan, as you say should be avoided.

AmsOil doesn't need much help selling their products. I mean, they're tier 4 base oil. They're an actual real 100% synthetic oil. That's more then I can say for Mobil 1, Royal Purple, and the rest of those fake synthetic oils. Tier 3 refined oil is all they are. They're not even real syntheitc oils.
Hotshot secrets line of Blue Diamond oil is 100% group IV PAO and group V oils. If you use this oil with a properly filtering bypass filter and do regular filter changes with oil analysis every 10K miles you can go 50-100K miles before a complete oil change. It's the only oil I would pay a premium price for. No need to hide behind vague terms like "full synthetic" and "100% synthetic" and undisclosed blend percentages when you outright tell everyone it's purely group IV PAO and group V oils only. Group IV base stock with a Group V carrier for some of the additives.

Thanks for being part of the channel. Walmart is not OK compared to 100% Synthetic oil. Conventional oil exists in 'FULL' Synthetic, 60-75% conventional. Concentional oil has mismatched molecules, which causes wear, over time. Use any motor oil that is 100% Synthetic. It causes zero wear over time. Basically, if you study tribology, you would know that conventional oil (group 1-2) sandblasts, over time, your engine components.

Pennzoil Ultra Platinum, 10-W-30 -- with a Fram Ultra Oil Filter -- changes (religiously) at 5,000 miles. Worked very well in my modified 460 Lincoln Town Coupe -- even in the harsh desert climate. I had an 03 f350 6.0 ltr I changed oil at 8 thousand km and it had 260, km on it I always added Metalon to the oil an when I pulled the drain plug the oil always looked pretty much like just fresh oil there was a little color but certainly not like most I see I could never figure this out. Anyone have any ideas.
Not really sold on that idea. The bypass filters gets down to 1 micron at 50% efficiency and 2 microns at 98%. The bypass filter system does a bang up job
What I would do right from the factory is I would have a second ring the compression ring like Childs and Albert or now accurately and Albert a step ring and would also have a slight bevel to it so it helps scrape the cylinder wall of excess oil that second ring will greatly reduce salt going into the oil plus give you a little more power make your engine a little more efficient see you when I’m doing my 91 Dodge actually 91.5 I’m getting as much horsepower out of it as I can without adding big stupid injectors and stuff like that anyway this is six in a row jim From Kennerdell Pennsylvania

Don’t forget about ash buildup in the dpf which causes restriction after 50% capacity then you’ll notice fuel mileage decreasing because of more frequent regenerations therefore shortening filter life and……. The next byproduct is fuel contamination in the oil because of more frequent regenerations because filter (dpf) capacity and volumetric exhaust flow rate has decreased that is measured by the differential pressure sensor.
That's the way I'd look at it, that super superior oil isn't worn out, just loading up on contaminates. With the Top Notch "Ea" Amsoil filter and this by-pass filtering set up the oil probably doesn't even look vaguely dirty for 1000's of miles. Night and day difference between this Ultimate Filtering set-up and a Fram Tough Gard...Chuckle Chuckle 😂
Not true. Engine oils have sacrificial additives that go away after a period of time. Your oil may stay spotlessly clean with a bypass filter, but the oil will not protect the engine like it should.
@@north4961 Seems crazy to put expensive oil in a 60-year-old engine that NEVER saw oil that was as good as today's full synthetics. But hey, you do whatever you want, it's OK by me.

I dont do oil laboratory thing no need ,but as the pick up for the oil pump is located pretty much at the bottom of the pan.The drain plug would be most effective oil sample as thats the oil going to the motor at start up.Two micron oil filter in my opinion is much to fine for used motor oil and likely starve engine of oil or go in bypass mode and filter nothing,Is amzoil good im sure it is but how long will most people keep their vehicles, My tacoma 24 years old and pull a trailer 95% of the time has over 307000 miles using just conventional oil valvaline just recently starting using synthetic because conventional oil is hard to find these days, i changed it every 4000 miles now with synthetic i plan to change 6-7 thousand miles.Try going 25000 before oil change on a vehicle with over 100,000 miles their is a good chance you run low on oil a ruin yer motor, i say yer better off just changing oil than adding oil
I don't think It's as good as a centrifuge bypass filter, my Amsoil oil filter cartridge is already 2 micron so how can this 2 micron bypass clean further more than what I have now?.

Yes, Gale Banks 100% uses the oil. Just type in Gale Banks BanksPower in google and you can see 100 videos with him using and recommending Amsoil. He makes a rear diff cover and he uses the Severe Gear in the diff. They also sell it to ppl who need it for kits rtc.
@@peterssynthetics-independe6786 so I took you advice, went to Google and utube and found only two videos I you said about the Is differential and of the oil bypass kit. He can even explain it at the best… it’s just not worth the money , the average full synthetic oil and 5k interval goes a long way and save you $$ in the long run
Too bad you do not fully understand what you are talking about. The long run, is perform oil analysis, learn your equipment, then let your mind dictate what your next move is. If the truth of that data tells you that 5000 mile intervals is what you should do, change it then. If the truth of the data is 25000 miles, change it then and save tons. Full synthetic, you are being duped. It is not 100% Synthetic like Amsoil. Look into research and learn your equipment before you just ‘do what you are told’ and then tell everyone else and in the face of 50 years of research that tells you the old 5k miles or 3k miles, routine out the window. It is 100% worth the money if it reduces wear metals. The big oil companies just cant beat Amsoil, and they know it. If they offered 100% Synthetic, they would be higher than our oil. Do some research, do oil analysis, save $$.
@@peterssynthetics-independe6786 most of the vehicle I’ve owned have lived passed the 250k , don’t need no oil analysis, if you take the best oil in the world and run it 25k or something that might not be as perfect but still has some good detergent inside of a reliable company and change it often you’re just at the same spot.. amsoil is just the trend of the moment and if gale banks is so good good and knowledge about it all instead of making tune just because it’s what sells and tells people that delete times are over , could implement and improve emission control and fix all the flaws instead, a good reliable vehicle has no need for mods, for gold oil and all these bullshit
@@Italianborn How about engines that give you over 1 mill+ miles, documented? Everyone talks big about their mileage, but when you get it down to cold hard facts, you can not refute oil analysis. Not doing an oil analysis and finding out the truth is like going to the doctor and asking him to ‘figure it out’ with out drawing blood. Ridiculous. Amsoil is the best engine oil in the world for cars, trucks etc. 100% Synthetic. If you havent tried it, dont knock it. You spend less money, dont feed the big machine which constantly dupes you. Sometimes the medicine is worse than the cure, in this case for you, it certainly is.
What destroyed diesel engines in cars was not the idea, but that lousy engine. A conversion engine, not a diesel from the start. A 4 cyl. I am going to switch over to Amsoil synthetic motor oil at my next oil change for my 2015 F350 V8 6.7L truck. Planning to buy the dual filter system as well, probably after the first cycle of new oil is ready to be changed. I have about 120,000 miles on the truck. I have heard that the Amsoil synthetic oil is good about cleaning out the "debris" from the oil system really well. Based on that I am thinking that as soon as I go to Amsoil motor oil, I should more frequently change out the standard oil filter during that first cycle of new oil use. Do you know if Amsoil has said anything along those lines for folks making the oil switch with so many miles on their vehicles?
@@wadetharp348 Please use my code at check out for your oil 30331652, my name is Brian Peters Jr, without that code I will not get credit and someone else will become your dealer, as we are all Independent Dealers. While it is ‘good’ any time you change out your filter, Amsoil filters have better filtration capabilities and more debris ‘storage’ in the synthetic medium. This usually isn’t necessary but also is not a bad idea. Using Amsoils Engine Flush product, ensures a good cleaning of the oil system, clears out any deposits and debris in the system, allow it to melt and break down into very small particles, thereby making them manageable for the filter to pick it up. Some folks also drop their oil pans and clean rhe sludge from the bottom of it. I suggest Signature Series motor oil. It is our best line of defense in the fight against wear, with 6x the wear protection then our competitors. The bypass filter system is excellent is cleaning out your system. Gas, diesel, car or truck. The bypass filter cleans particulates down to 2 microns at 98.7 efficiency and only taking 3-5% of the oil flow from the pump. This does NOT strain the system in anyway since the inherent design of the oil pump system allows for this and in many engines, has this in mind. Some engines are even designed with ‘port-holes’ into the crankcase etc. Keeing your engine clean from soot, blow-by, dirt and debris is key for the longest lasting engines, the ones that make it i to the 1-3 million mile range. Yes, I said million. Clean out a competition brand oil after 300,000 miles, and clean out the same motor with Amsoil at 1 million miles. Our engine will be virtually clear of varnish and debris, while we already know what to expect out of the other. Please allow me to be your dealer and I will be a great resource anytime you have questions, concerns etc. Thank you! Contact me anytime 229-561-4426
Do not use AmsOil or any brand engine flush. Those things are trash garbage. The ONLY time u use an engine flush is if you've had the vehicle since it came off the floor and you've been using engine flush regularly since u got the vehicle home. If not, stay away from ALL engine flush. It will screw u over and cause more oil leaks then a little bit
Pursuant to a 1990’s law suit between Castrol and Mobil 1, courts ruled that group 3 and 4 base oils are synthetic, therefore any oil that contains one or both of those groups, regardless of proportions, can be called synthetic. So as long as Amsoil contains group 3, even if it’s 100% group 3, they can legally call it 100% synthetic. Thus, 100% synthetic and full synthetic are synonymous. Amsoil admitted this in one of their own blogs.
@@peterssynthetics-independe6786 “Castrol won the lawsuit and, since then, the industry has defined Group III base oils as, indeed, synthetic. That means, according to accepted industry definitions and practices, an oil is “synthetic” and may be labeled as such provided it uses only Group III, Group IV or Group V base oils in any combination or ratio. The oil could use 90% Group IV and 10% Group III base oil; or, it could use 90% Group III and 10% Group IV base oils. As long as it only uses Groups III, IV or V base oils, it’s a synthetic oil. That being the case, the terms “100% synthetic” and “full synthetic” describe the same thing. They’re synonymous, and an oil marketer can use whichever it prefers provided the oil in the bottle meets the industry description of “synthetic” outlined above.”
@@luptonpittman6520 Right. However, if the container has 25% combined Group 3 or 4 Synthetic oil or whatever combination thereof, the blender can use the remaining 75%. with conventional oil, thus lying to the public, in essence, thru the veil of the courts decision, and call their oil ‘Full’. Next. 100% Synthetic oil as labeled on the bottle is exactly what it means. 100%. Thank for pointing out what we already knew.
@@peterssynthetics-independe6786 Why would Amsoil themself say that 100% and full are synonymous then? Why would they not explain, in their blog, what you are saying about this 25% thing?

I have been using amsoil for the last 5,000 yrs, best oil in the galaxy. aliens brought this oil to earth because that is what they use in their spaceships. true story just ask this clown I mean peters synthetics !!

Your engine's THERMOSTAT regulates your engine's temperature -- it is NOT controlled by the ambient air temps. AMSOIL is not temperature-sensitive like conventional oils -- you will be perfectly safe with AMSOIL 5-W-20, as it actually helps to COOL the engine better than any thicker-viscosity oils could do. Thank you for being part of the channel!
I wish I could call amsoil and ask them if they have a part and them send me $1000 worth of stuff 😂
My father bought a 1980 chevy p/u with the 350 diesel. I remember you couldn't park it in the garage. When you start up in the garage, the smoke would contaminate the air in the house.
Are contaminants that cause issues inherently a part of diesel or can the fuel be pre filtered so the engine doesn't have to deal with it all?
I wish Amsoil would do a by pass filter for my 5.7L I- Force in my 2016 Toyota Tundra.

15:58 The diagram has a typographical error - that is a Full-Flow Filter, not a Fuel-Flow Filter.
I could watch this guy all night taking about engines. Great video 👍
You get better protection and increased oil drain intervals, saving you money.
Measure the dipstick.

Great advertisement for AmsOil opening all those boxes !

In today's day and age even Walmart oil is OK if you keep up on changes. All oils pretty much have the same additives if API certified.

Correct, however one part is not. 25% or more of Group 3 can be called ‘Full’. That is why our bottles say ‘100%’ not Full.

“Castrol won the lawsuit and, since then, the industry has defined Group III base oils as, indeed, synthetic.

Why would Amsoil themself say that 100% and full are synonymous then? Why would they not explain, in their blog, what you are saying about this 25% thing?

no one is going to oder from your website since its security cert is broken, yes we all know we can bypass that, but thats not what most of us will do, we will go somewhere else, so you have lost business by not having that up to date
@@adairjanney7109 We will get that fixed. This is the first that I have seen this.
Boy, Peters, I don’t need all these. Or do I?
Yes you need them ALL! :) You need whatever you need. Either way, thank you for being part of the channel. I would be honored if I could be your Amsoil dealer, just goto orderoil24.com and click shop and when you check out just make sure my dealer number is in the referral code section. Thanks again! :)
When Amsoil first came on the market I tried it in a Datsun car I was driving at the time. The Amsoil was so viscus that it caused the engine bog down, loose power and stall at idle. I drained it after 100 miles and never touched the stuff again. IMHO Amsoil is a terrible product.

Mr Gale Banks the legend ❤
Amsoil makes good products, Miracle Wash is not one of them. Actually found it fall short of even Turtle Wax Waterless Wash, no where near the quality of MuccOff Waterless Wash or Original Bike Spirits.
Thanks for being part of the channel! I enjoy Miracle Wash!
Hello sir, please I need the appropriate viscosity of Amsoil oil for the GDI 2400 engine ... for the Middle East weather that exceeds 50 degrees Celsius '50C. Note that the car is a Hyundai Tucson imported from America and it says on the hood 5w20
Those of us that live and drive in the desert climates must be careful to avoid the popular MYTHS, such as "Thicker oil lubricates better." It' doesn't.
