Based on my experience 1 1/2 months to 2 months before the date you want to leave will be the cheapeast time to buy flights. Not always though but most of the times. Also buying tickets on tuesdays have worked very well for me.
i always check the airport web site to see what airlines are offered ...not all airlines will come up on kayak, priceline search.. i also check near by airports a $50 uber ride could save 100's
Cheers for this, I have been researching "cheapest place to find flights online" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Beyarper Peyameron Process - (do a google search ) ? Ive heard some awesome things about it and my buddy got excellent results with it.
Google flights is good 90% of the time but sometimes skyscanner/kayak finds cheaper/shorter routes. Especially for the budget EU to EU flights (ryanair, etc.).
FYI Sebby Google flights doesn't show all airlines. . Domestically anyway. I found cheaper flights RT: SFO - LAX cheaper on Southwest. Only $38 each way making it 15-20% cheaper than what you said was best option. Just thought you should insert than in future vids when speaking on Google Flights. Love the vids ! Keep it up! Thank you Jeremiah
I usually use SkySkyft.com for all my flight purchase in and out of Europe and the US because massive prices differences compared to all websites. The concept of cheap flights is propaganda. Hence, it is better to verify to know what's cheap and not cheap. And that website has made verification easy. Their African NaijaCheapFlights.com works the same way, and somewhat faster for reasons I don't know why. Also, it's smart to buy in a different currency. I have bought in Korean Yen when finding a cheap ticket from Helsinki to Copenhagen saving 30% using SkySkyft Also ticket from Helsinki to JFK back and forth, I saved about 60USD using SkySkyft, and I compared Google Flights, Kayak, Skyscanner, but SkySkyft.com offered a cheaper ticket.
Thank you so much! I do a lot of traveling and when I come back I usually end up broke. This helped a lot and I like to travel even durning the school year this helped me choose flexible flights durning school. And it help mainly with traveling durning that hoildays! Now I can see my family in Vietnam! 😁
Some good points here Sebby. I use many of the same techniques for getting cheap flights. Some good deals I've booked in the last 10 months are Melbourne to Queenstown return for $220 and Melbourne to Phuket return for $350.
Answering your question: For international flights I usually go to Skyscanner and once I find something I also check the individual airline for that flight.
skyscanner, kayak and then Orbitz if you need to know the type of class to see if it's upgradeable with points (or money) after calling the airline to find out which classes are upgradeable.
Im tryna find the cheapest flight from edmonton to manila on december to january, and the cheapest ones are $1500+ Cad per person and there's four of us. It's soooo expensive
Hey Sebby, question have you ever heard of the "Select Black Card"? Can you do a video on it please i'm curious to know what's all the hype about that card..Thank You
Sebby : could you tell me how can I setup flight deals only from New York on ifttt? I would like to get notified Flyertalk premium fare thread deals from only new York area. JFK, LGA
Easy solution would be to use the existing IFTTT recipes and build a filter system on Gmail. Should take 2-5 mins: if includes "JFK/LGA/EWR" then star / send to inbox / mark as important else put in folder / archive / mark as read
How far in advance do you recommend booking? I’m looking at flights from sfo to Miami for Aug 2019..and wondering if it’s too soon to book even though the round trip prices are pretty decent right now.
If you're worried, transfer your points to your CSR or CSP/CIP. There were rumors 9 months ago: ua-cam.com/video/bmZZPNtOWJM/v-deo.html The main causality would be the CFU card (1.5% vs. 2% from Citi DC/PayPal. CIC and Freedom would still be fine (5% like Discover It, US Bank Cash+, Citi Dividend). CIP/CSR/CSP would be fine since their multipliers would still work as expected.
Great video. I subscribed. I’m a newbie travel and want to spend a month or so in Thailand or China. This showed me some crazy discounts. Hey about China airlines? Can it really save a lot? I took grayhound round trip across US. I can endure a lot if it’s really the cheapest. It’s really hard to believe it’s almost half the price. Is there tons of extra hidden fees?
Yep, tons of value to be had if you're willing to suffer for a few hours. The main thing is there's usually no entertainment so make sure to move some movies/audiobooks/shows onto your phone and bring a power bank. No fees (double check this though) from my understanding, just no frills. I think you're referring to Air China. China Airlines is pretty solid (i.e., not as cheap for your use case) from my understanding.
Cheap flights = UR points via CSP/CSR/CIP travel portal First, Business, or last minute = transfer partners (UR/MR) or airline points * If airline points pegged to dollar amount (i.e., SW) then use with cheap flights ua-cam.com/video/kA8H0jnhyqE/v-deo.html
Thanks for all your content and knowledge you share. I have learned so much from all of your videos. Much appreciated. Always on the lookout for the next one:)
Thanks 👍👍👍 Beware: ASAP Tickets/ITN SCAM. International Travel Network aka ITN, A Big SCAM. Refund Issue, they will charged $320 to $450 per ticket, but not even provide full refund. Nightmare.
I do a mix of ITA Matrix, Google Flights, and FT. I also get emails from Air Canada and KLM. For a recent trip where the dates were fixed, I used Kayak as well.
I fly to D.C. a lot and the cheapest airlines for me has been FRONTIER AIRLINES ... However I found this useful for my shorter trips within the state. Thanks!

True, I tried the second trick. Fly from Buffalo to Vancouver is cheaper then Toronto to Vancouver.

Random question...is it an option to upgrade a travel credit card? An American Airlines card to be exact
What's he talking about. I went China Eastern London - Sydney via Shanghai and they had a great entertainment system?

Booking ahead (and timing it well) is probably one of the easiest ways to save a ton of money.
Sebby can you please tell me how I can use google flight to help my mommy to get a senior discount for international flight to Taiwan?
I believe you need to call in for those. Probably find the cheapest rate for dates and call for those dates.

Where can I get the cheapest ticket from Kunming to Delhi,India??

What do you think of Chase potentially changing the way you transfer points between cards?

But if Chase really changes it, it devalues ultimate rewards by a heck loads :/

I thought the video would be more about how to use the correct point system (UR, MR, airline card, etc) to find the best conversion
Cheap flights = UR points via CSP/CSR/CIP travel portal
First, Business, or last minute = transfer partners (UR/MR) or airline points

I've never left the US and I might go to turkey this summer but idk and I have no idea what to do. The flights are so expensive 😩
Hey Sebby,
Google flight doesnot offer cheaper flight ticket. It does not offer all airines.
What airlines aren't included? I see all the budget ones (WOW, Spirit, Frontier, etc.)
thats for you to figure out
