- Goldie (Metalheads) - Kemistry (Original 1992 Version).
Original 1992 version of Kemistry from Goldie featuring vocals from Diane Charlamagne (Sadly passed away 28/10/15 - RIP x x) On the same release as the equally good Terminator track.
one of the most beautiful dnb/jungle track out out there, beautiful vocals from the late Diane Charlemagne gives this track the substance of eternal greatness. The crisp clean breaks, depth of bass and sinister melody allows the listener to experience the anguish and celebration of loosing a loved one. Goldie is one of the greatest (if not the greatest) producers in the genre. This is a powerful tribute to a true pioneer for female dj's. Valerie Olukemi. (Kemistry) of Kemistry & storm rest in peace Diane and Valerie.
this kills it over terminator for me. so much emotion
This is an incredible track...I can't stop listening to it. It was made in 1992 before Kemistry passed away so I listen to it as a love letter to someone very present in his life...before the anguish...it's only now we make that interpretation and feel the sadness.
@@ellieg7160 you are right. It's crazy how a piece of music can make you feel so many emotions, and mean so much to so many people. But this track in particular has the pedigree to be possibly the greatest. Deffo in my top 5 of all time
@@petermcintosh9708 Agreed. Only the other day I found
this other - apparently original - version! ua-cam.com/video/60yb3kFfu24/v-deo.html
💜🔥🖤🙏🙌💖
Used to go to those metalheadz nights under Liverpool street station on Thursdays and go to work next day. Glad I did. 53 now the world is different.
Now everyone is woke and sensitive
Man, this takes me back to some of the greatest days of my life!
+arcticablue puts chills up my spine
+Ross Wailen :)
+arcticablue that was the fastest response !!
Me too club wise not ex married life. This music was my escape from hell at home LOL
Superb track aint it :)
RIP to Kemistry and Charlemagne. Two very different musicians but united by this beautiful music
AlgoEX997 surely there is a way to make use of the Primal creative force and return them here?
For real mate, couldn’t have put it better! 🙏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👍🏾
It is an ecstasy trip - extracted, encapsulated and put into music form.
The "coming down" vocals from Diane at the end eerily remind you of the lingering and struggling empathy at the end of a trip. This track is (no pun intended) absolute gold.
@@sparklesparklesparkle6318 I get it. But the vocals on this track refer to an ecstasy trip. I wonder if Goldie was on something when he made this? Coz it really is DNB, completely out of this world.
How good is it that people are posting these old classics on here??? Without you guys, all these old corkers would be lost to me forever.....
This is the best version. Proper jungle techno.
jungle tekno / jungle was 1992 / early 1993
drum n bass was born from that . mid 1993 darkside
Never heard dis version, tune!
justin lee it is the best version
anyone else from that era now get watery eyes and a slight head rush when you listen back to these tunes? Oh what a time. And man what an absolute tune!! Goldie...the donnie.
This is 1 of the original tracks from the album. Love it. R.I.P. Diane Charlamagne. Your vocals will be remembered and enjoyed for years to come.
I am so glad that this was uploaded 14 years ago and its still up.

R.I.P Diane Charlemagne big loss to the scene
Easily the best work Goldie ever did. We couldn't believe how incredible this EP is when we got it; ALL FOUR TUNES ARE UTTERLY AMAZING; MENTAL KICKIN!

Makes me cry
Remember this so sooo well, back in school aged 14 rolling with the ravers blaring this on my Sony Walkman still sounds cutting edge today compared to what you get spewed out as music, ie three melody bars from start to finish, no beginning, middle or end, changing drum patterns, effects, melodies etc…just complete dross compared to the electronic music of the 90’s underground. RIP to Charlamagne on the vocals brilliant singer❤
This use to be the perfect sunday song after a night of rolling good times back in the day.
This EP was one of the best pieces of vinyl I bought in those days. I love the vocals apart from the 'ecstasy' refrain which cheapens a beautiful track IMO. I used to here the dub version out a lot. Strangely this track doesn't seem to get played at so-called old school hardcore events. I usually hear the same 30 to 40 (if that, lol) tunes all night which is a shame as there were so many quality tracks in that 91 to 93 hardcore era, this being one of them.
Sometimes blows my mind to realize how early (proto) jungle was happening
Crazy how just this set of tunes changed things forever.
Wasn't alive when this was big, but it's pretty awesome.
beautiful. I love this more than words. big up goldie
RIP Kemi. Gone too soon.
This one is an iconic early 90s jungle tune...many thanks ☺️
It was the very start of drum and bass. Goldie invented the sound with these tracks being the very beginning. Terminator with its pioneering time stretching created the sound we all know as DnB.
MESMERIZING!
Remember Top Buzz opening with this at Fantazia Showcase 92. Beautiful intro, great track
Oh la laaa
Remember it like it was yesterday.. 🎧🎛🎚😎👊
Top buzz were the face of jungle techno in 92
Xpand your mind Mad P

Want this played at my funeral! Lova da goldiebobs :)
it feels like a timeless eternity to me when I think about it, but when I see the number, 14, years, that's only a tiny space of time in historical terms, a drop in the ocean of eternity *sigh* What she missed out on ... This tune is beautiful though. At least she didn't miss This One ;)
mint....timeless dream within a dream
Was so lucky to have the pleasure of this first time around da buzz..
Has to be the most special tune that I ever heard out back in the day. Truly spine tingling stuff. Ah, the memories...1love

Now that bring back some memories..
Even better than the LP mix.
@2:58 is the calm before the storm. Then the furious darkness is unleashed @3:50. Woosh !
My first time listening !
Absolute classic, I prefer the remix that came out a few years later... but poor Diane Charlamagne..... they spelt her name wrong... what a tune though... good times man, good times!
What a tune🤗😜
