Yep... I remember, dragging my arms across real close to the screen, to feel the static cling pulling on my arm hairs, what an odd and cool sensation it was.
When driving, you definitely want access to drum n bass, good tracks like this. You can’t listen to country, rock music for hr while driving. NO! It’s either sewerslvt or sluts always get their fix, drum bass melody. Maybe Pat metheny whatever, buckethead of course. Ordinary corrupt human love
This mix feels more future than nostalgia, which is what a lot of artists back then were actually trying to do. You leaned harder into the sound design and feel rather than just stacking amens to make the nostalgia meter go brrr. It paid off and I feel like this stands out in the jungle revival zone. Especially love the minimal vibes on Cultivation.
@@zbsfmfunny, I still have some old songs downloaded from a YT to MP3 site that sound like absolute garbage, but the crunchiness feels almost like it’s a part of the aesthetic, lol.
It's been good for over 10 years, just depends how you upload. I still hear that 112k mp3 or equivalent almost every day, because some people don't hear how bad it is, but It's better than nothing, I used to listen to those 96k streams all day.
This music gives me a powerful feeling of relaxation, peace while being uplifting in a way that I'm incapable of putting into words. You have made a true masterpiece, this music touches a higher level of existence.
I love the whole album, but rendevous is extra special to me after today. I was driving home after picking up my cat Giza's ashes - he passed two weeks ago. After getting in the car and driving for a bit, I started to feel a bit emotional. I had my DnB playlist playing, and the first song that started playing after I drove off was rendevous. I've listened to the album several times prior, and rendevous always gave me a warm, fuzzy feeling. In this instance I had memories of Giza and I drift up from my subconscious - combined with my already positive experience with rendevous, it made for a nostalgic moment. Whenever I hear rendevous now, I'll think of Giza - not in a melancholy way, but as a way to remember him and cherish his life. I hope I'll get to "rendezvous" with him in the future, whenever that may be. Thanks and much love Arcologies ♥
truly sorry to hear about Giza my friend, always sad to lose a companion so close to your heart :( I am happy to hear that something i've created helps brings happy and nostalgic memories though. i really appreciate you checking out the music and sharing your story.
tape deck texture really tied the set together, charming and nostalgic vibes from better times for sure don't mind me sneaking out few ids from here, thanks for the tunes 🙏
clicked on this thinking i was just gonna listen for 5 mins and slap it on a playlist for some other time..... ended up leaving it up in the background the whole time lol
I tend to click videos with this type of thumbnail and description, but usually turn it off pretty quick. Here I am 45 minutes in, scrolling the comments and see your same experience haha
After listening to this album at least 30 or 40 times, the structure and swing of each track becomes more impactful and solidifying as something very special. In my opinion a superb artist, setting the bar higher in independent electronic music.
hah, that's actually a good idea.... gonna have to maybe do that next time. i've been kind of hooked on mid 2000s camcorders recently, wanted to start using them for vids on the channel.
Yessir! That's what this LP feels like. It's like a surrealistic adventure towards an unknown destination. But who cares about the destination, when the vibes are this hard?
I was just born in 1999. Growing up I saw on tv and in movies how awesome it was to be an adult. Parties, playing videogames with the homies, picking up women, the works. Won't lie, I got a taste of that when I went off to college and have been hungry for it ever since. Now I'm 24 and all I have to look forward to are literal ancient politicians that for some reason hate my generation, and an inheritance of a burning world. What a time to be alive right...?
Thanks for checking it out and sharing a slice of your life, very much appreciated. I hope the future is going to better than it seems, but I feel down about it too sometimes mate.
People have always faced hardships. We have it quite easy compared to earlier times, but because we grew up playing videogames and doing basically whatever we wanted instead of working the fields, we feel it a lot harder. We haven't been conditioned to handle negative emotions, which is why this generation is the luckiest that has ever existed, but complains the most.

Outstanding music to test code to... I love atmospheric, jungle, and liquid dnb for that.
