Way back in December of 2015 when I posted my review of the Sony A7Sii (and subsequently started vlogging about reviews, gear, etc.), I mentioned that I had ordered a revolutionary new lens adapter: the Vizelex ND Throttle. Many of you began asking for a my thoughts on this adapter, and I promised in my replies that I would post one "soon." Well, soon ended up being over one year later, but I'm pleased to announce that my video review of the Vizelex ND Throttle Lens Adapter is finally here!
Over the past 9 years of creating videos, I have amassed quite a collection of lens adapters for my cameras. Since switching to Sony E-mount in 2012, this number has grown considerably. Because of the shallow flange distance of the Sony E-Mount camera system, it is incredibly exciting to see just how many lenses can be paired with my Sony camera bodies. Of my adapters, I have Nikon lenses to Canon cameras, Canon to Sony, Nikon to Sony, electronic adapters, manual adapters, Speed Boosters, and now: adapters with variable ND filters built right into the adapter itself. I love that we are continuously seeing the miniaturization of technology, and I hope to soon see even more nifty features crammed into lens adapters in the future.
In the video, I specifically review the Nikon lens to Sony E-Mount version of the ND Throttle, and give my thoughts on the construction, ND visual quality, color cast, sharpness, and vignetting. I also give all my reasons for why I prefer to use an ND filter when filming, as well as some recommendations for how to get the best performance from this adapter. I hope you enjoy me rambling for 20-ish minutes about the finer points of ND filtration. :)
Note: Back in the Summer of 2016, Fotodiox released a Canon lens to E-Mount version of the adapter, but I haven't had the chance to test it yet, so I have kept my review focused on the Nikon mount version. The build quality appears to be similar, so if you are considering purchasing one of the other lens mount adapter versions, this review should still be very helpful to you.

Thanks for all the help, as always. You've got the right info and you've got the right teaching technique. For those of us who love the fun of all this, you keep it fun. That's rad.
Love your video's! Great review. Your videos are so refreshing and enjoyable to watch. In comparison to all the other dull video reviews that I find myself shuffling through just trying to find the answer to my question. I am watching your videos from start to finish and enjoying every minute.
+Robert Bradford thanks so much Robert! 😁
Always on point, Matt. Still one of the best channels for this type of gear.
Thanks!
Thanks for this video, Matt! I bought one of these lens adapters right away for my A7Sii with Nikon lenses, and sadly didn't really start using it much because I thought it produced a very soft image. I'm going to try it again with the thought of keeping it below 50-75% ND. Thanks for this!
+Gary Ottonello thanks Gary! Hope you like your adapter!
I wish I had seen this before my last trip! Such a cool ND/lens adapter, Thanks Matt :)
+Timothy Muza hey thanks Timothy! 😁
@@whoismatt hi I have a question, i saw another version IN Amazon.it Vizelex Cine ND Throttle Lens Mount Adapter for (EF-SONY E) .Please help me to figure it out. AND WHICH ONE I should buy for (samyang cine lens T1.5 canon ef)with a7sii.? And that was black and silver type not blue ring. What is the difference between these two adapters?
Thanks Matt! really appreciate the review! :)
You're most welcome!
You are a beast. I'm a bearded man(child) too. Loved your Yosemite video, I went there (and America) for the first time in summer 2016 and you really got me thinking about getting married there.
Keep up the work long time.
Thanks fellow bearded manchild! You should definitely get married there, and I'll come back out and film it. ;)
Love your videos man
Thanks so much! :D
Love you man. Your hilarious!!! Good info.. thumbs ups!!!
+Victor Jasá thanks Victor! 😁👍
Hey Matt, quick question, did you ever try to mitigate the flares by applying a little electrical tape or painters tape around the the inside of the adapter? i'm considering buying one of these and thought it could maybe work with my tape idea
Nice presentation, thanks for sharing
Literally the thumbnail put me in a good mood
Haha thanks Jaron!
Nice job Matt.
My fixed Tiffen NDs have a slight green cast and it makes me crazy - amber is much more likely to be easier to deal with in post for me because like you that's the direction I tend to go with grading, etc.
As an aside, I'm a lifelong Nikon shooter with a bag o' legacy Nikkor glass. I've heard it said, but can't confirm save for my own experience, that lever which brings the joy of manual control with this adapter to the aperture is one of the reasons it is hard to eliminate flicker when shooting timelapse with Nikon DSLRs. There is more "bounce" between frames or just lack of precision so you end up with small variations in exposure frame to frame in the timelapse which = flicker.
My glass is so old most was purchased to shoot Kodachrome and Velvia in my old F4Ss. I'd see that same variation even when they were brand new in high frame rate still sequences. Always frustrated me.
We are talking 1/4-1/8 of a stop here. Not enough to destroy the image but will certainly show as flicker in timelapse and you can see it in slides on a lightbox.
One more aside: Would you object to a repost, with credit, and embed of your video on getting your Part 107 self taught? Thought you did a great job there. Would be an awesome resource on our website.
Great video as always
Thanks Aaron!
Hey Matt what's ur take on the Rokinon Cine lenses? Have u ever tried them? Would you recommend them?
Hi, what lens you use?
you know if works on full frame sensors and te works on the 24-70 G lens type? thanks!
how about using a polarizer with this adaptor? :) thank you for the video by the way
nice to see someone who knows what there talking about. subbed.
Thanks! :D
I enjoy your films, both youtube and wedding. I recently purchased the Sony A6500 and have Nikon Full frame fx lenses. Would you recommend this adapter for using my lenses on the A6500?
You rock dude!!!
Thank you! :D
Thinking getting this for the GH5.. Just curious, the aperture ring doesn't override the Manual aperture ring on my Rokinon 35mm or anything, right?
First off, love your videos! (I'm in Bedford TX) I just jumped to two Sonys (a7sii) from Canon, I went all in with all new native lenses, your videos have been very useful. Question: Can I get an ND throttle lens adaptor for sony to sony? Just your typical FE to e-mount. Reason… I got that huge 28-135 and it's a crazy 95mm filter thread. Not a fan of cheap ND filters so the only filter I can find is almost 400! I thought 2 of these could be a cheaper alternative for both bodies.
Hi Andrew, unfortunately not. You can't put space between a native Sony lens and camera without losing infinity focus.
Thanks, I figured that was the case… just thought I'd check. Was looking for an alternative to buying VND's for all of my lenses
Andrew! I love Bedford! That's where I first had Rita's Snowcones, so good! Unfortunately though, there is no Sony to Sony mount ND throttle. This is due to the flange distance of the lens and camera. Wish I had better news for you.
I use the Fusion version of this. Works with full frame and APS-C sensors
Thanks for sharing! Glad the Fusion version works for you! :)
If I'm using the Sony A7RII would selecting Super-35 mode eliminate the vignette propensity of this adapter pretty much?
Good review!
I believe yes :)
HA! that thumbnail :D
Nice review! Only one question. Do You still use internal stabilization with this adapter?
Thanks! Yes, IBIS works with this adapter (but only 3 axis, not 5 like native lenses)
Thank you, that was great! Does ut excist without the actual converter as well? As in EF - EF?
Nope, unfortunately not :(
Great video Matt! I personally am looking to get one in Japan right now on my travels, fingers crossed! Oh and sign me up for that beard class, I really need it as I'm Asian! 😅
Thanks Tony! You can grow a beard if you believe enough! :)
I always was curious what Freddie Savage Jr got up to after the Wonder Years. In all seriousness, great channel and that for the time with all the tips.
hahaha thanks Thom!
Nice review Matt ! one question , What kind of regular variable ND Filters that goes on the front of the lens do u recommend that i can use with the Sony A7s 2 while i'm shooting with S-log 2 or S-log 3 in day light , Because i've heard that the minimum Iso in this case would be 1600 , price range is under 800 $ or below , Thank you
I've had a good experience with the Genus Eclipse ND filter.
Their non-polarizer ND filter.
Hey Matt, sorry for Off-Topic, but I have seen the Sony 16-35 F4 in your videos a lot of times. I am currently thinking of purchasing this lens, I only have the Zeiss 55 1.8 for my Sony a7sii. Do you think it is a good contemplating fit or would I better be off with a sayang 35 1.4 or maybe the 28mm f2? I like to travel and do some street photography also, thats why I rather have a lens for multiple purposes.
DO you use the 16-35 for shooting even though the f4?
Thanks a lot for your time, your content is great
Hey! This really depends on what you are looking for. I prefer to shoot with primes for a shallower depth of field and sharper image. I like the 16-35 for using it on a Glidecam etc. but I don't usually walk around with it on my camera.
What are your thoughts about using the Canon version with say the Rokinon Cine series for Canon? Then you have to set aperture manually on the lens and only have to worry about ND with the adapter?
+Matthew McCarty hey Matthew! I haven't had a chance to use the Canon version yet, but with those Rokinon lenses I'm sure it would be very similar to using the Nikon mount version.
Didn't know that about Nikon lenses. Thanks!
Hey Matt! I use the fotodiox canon adapter and when switching from dial modes, the camera freezes and I have to reconnect the lens. Which canon adaptors are you using and are you experiencing any bugs?
+Pablo Mejia hey Pablo! I've used the fotodiox without any problems, but sometimes adapters can be a bit weird, especially depending on the lens you use. You could also check out the ef to e mount adapters by commlite and metabones. Hope that helps! 😁
looooove my heliopan!! best quality looks so good ;)
And do the meivique review asap! Wanna buy one to race you in october! ha
Hahaha I'll bring one in October!
hello Matt, great clip! I am wondering that this adapter can be used for Nikon F Mount( old vintage lens).
+이병희 thanks! Yes I believe so, but I don't have any older Nikon lenses to test with it.
"sunglasses for your camera" is how I always describe ND filters to people too
+MEBoisv it's so clear and simple! 😜
How do you know what aperture you're at without the T marking values?
@matt whoismatt johnson Do yo ever notice you get a halo around direct light sources (ex. Headlights) with this filter? I have the Canon to Sony Vizelex???
Hey Steve! Not that I have noticed, but I also don't use it at night often.
hey matt ! newly subed ! very nice videos mate ! was wondering if this adapter lets you autofocus in video !? as i am a nikon shooter and want to sell my body to get a sony A7 iii but im thinking of keeping my pro nikon lenses
can you please advise if i can use the autofocus for video and photo for nikon lenses
thanks in advance
Hey Elie! Unfortunately this one only works with manual focus.
So how do you shoot video with manual focus?! I bought it and just realized it doesn't have auto focus. For photo it could work but video???
hi, i have a sony a6500. i want to use the sigma 18-35. that means i need a sigma mc11, right? if i want the ND filter behind the lens like the vizelex, do i not need an mc11?
Is it pronounced M(AY)VIC? Or M(AH)VIC? Please help...
ah definitely
"ah"
100% ah :P
Matt WhoisMatt Johnson m(ah)vic haha. But I have this adapter. It's great, been using it on my a7s ii with my Canon rokinon cine ds lens. which are all manual.
Like Maverick...as in Goose and Maverick. :-) And thanks for the video. I always learn something. I have a tip of my own...If you have not already, get the DJI Phantom 4 Pro instead of the Mavick. The camera is much better, and it handles MUCH better. I've flown the Inspire, Phantom 3 standard, Mavick and the P4 Pro...the Phantom 4 pro handle's sooooo much better than all of them. If you are a one man operation and want good imagery and ease of use, the Phantom 4 Pro is the way to go. The Mavick is a great little flying camera for the price and if you want a light load. But the Phantom 4 pro has a MUCH MUCH better camera.
Hey Matt, great video! Been subscribed to your channel for a few months now. I was just wondering, if you'd be able to recommend a Nikon to Sony adaptor that has auto focus capabilities. Cheers!
Hey thanks! I believe Fotodiox came out with one autofocus adapter for Nikon to E-Mount lenses but it had some issues and was breaking cameras so they stopped selling it. Autofocus for video doesn't work well unfortunately unless you are using Sony e-mount lenses.
Thanks for the reply Matt. I ended up going for the Sony Zeiss 35mm 2.8 just to be safe
This is more of a technique question, but I've heard a few people mention the idea of shooting at 60fps and then cutting that down to 24fps in post, presumably adding 48th/s or 180• shutter Motion Blur in AE or something all to ring every bit of sharpness out of the lens for what you want to to be sharp in motion. I was wondering if it might make more sense to shoot at 24fps with 120/s shutter and then add the motion blur later would be as effective. Have you tried that at all?
+Imhotep397 nah I've never tried that. I prefer the motion blur of keeping the shutter speed double the framerate.
Hi Matt. Love your vids. You are one funny dude! :-D
Anyway. do you know if there Is any adapter "Focal reducer adapters" on the market that doesent mess up the focus tracking on a Sony A mount and a EF/Tamron lens AND any thoughts on the focal reducer adapters? I know its a tricky question. Thanx for your time and vids! :-)
Hey thanks Thomas! Not that I know of. Most focal reducer adapters don't work well for video autofocus. I find that its best to shoot with native sony lenses if you want decent video autofocus.
Hi buddy. And the Vizelex ND Throttle lens adapter for video should work ok? A7s2,,,. Dont have it yet but will REAL soon . Just need to get the 5d m3 out the door first:-D Keep up the great work!
Thanks for the amazing video. Can I use Vizelex ND Throttle in my Panasonic GH4?
www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1086048-REG/fotodiox_ndthrtl_eos_mft_vizelex_nd_throttle_adapter.html
Hi Matt, I want to invest Zeiss lenses and the first one will be the 55mm 1.8 Sonnar, is there any variable nd you can suggest, which wouldn't ruin too much quality of that lens?
+Sam Lamberts hey Sam! Check out tiffen or genus, they make good quality nd filters.
Matt WhoisMatt Johnson thank you bro:)
hi, Sam, at the end, did you buy a tiffen one ? how many stops can you save with it? thanks
I use Sony A7sii native lens' I use the FW1,8/55 and the FE4/16-35. What ND filters would you recommend or where can I purchase them?
I would try out Tiffen or Genus brand of ND filters. You can buy them on amazon or b&h
Is that vignetting going to be a problem with a telephoto? Considering this to adapt a manual 70-200 f/2.8 to MFT for outdoor wedding ceremony A-camera...
It hasn’t been an issue for me
I got a nx500 and I have a Canon lens along with sigma lens. Which adopter(s) should I get?
What lens are you using the most? Native Sony lens are expensive for what they are, but there autofocus are unmatched. Do you use AF alot?
+Jonathan Laporte sigma ART 50mm. Manual focus for most everything.
Matt WhoisMatt Johnson what! So no fancy zeiss lenses? No autofocus manual only... And you can nailed the focus with focus peaking?
can an adapter make a lense soft, it seems that when i place my canon 50mm and adapt it to my micro 4/3 its soft. Also theres no glass in the adapter
+Double Edge Ministries hey! That can definitely happen if the adapter isn’t putting the lens the right distance from the sensor of the camera. I would test with another camera or adapter.
You can also still use a lens hood with one of these on.
Nice on, as always. Please make a video about Xume Addapters :D
+magnat7 planning on one!
Dope, can´t wait. Big hugs from Portugal ;)
5:32
Wait Matt, I'm not some math genius here but 1/24 x 2 is not 1/48....but rather 1/12.
Sorry, couldn't help myself there. ;)
The 180degree shutter rule dictates that the shutter should be open for HALF of the frame rate. Not Double.
Though it's tempting, one can't simply work with the denominators when dealing with fractions.
Great review, as always. Keep them coming!
Bahaha I'm so bad at math! Of course you are right. :)
Hi, Bah! The theory says half, is not it? but I do not have filter nd and increase and increase, and I do not see anything wrong with the filming. What should I look for if for example I record at 1/640 or more? GRacias in what you can help me
hi is there a auto focus lens that works on nikon camera for videography
what lenses do you use with it? if its the sigma ARTs do you get manual aperture with this adapter?
+Conner K Ward hey Conner! I use the Sigma art 24mm and 50mm with this adapter. Yes, I get manual aperture control with it.
when youve done weddings, or photography on the side, did you ever feel like you wish you had af? I dont use af and enjoy manual aperture rings (mainly because upgrading from retro lenses), but Im curious what you think in retrospect.
Hi Matt, are you still using it? As good as other vnd’s?
Please make the Mavik review! Also, let me know if it can shoot 90 degree videos (overshot)
Planning on it! I'll let you know!
Is there such a thing as an E-mount variable ND filter that isn't a lens adapter but merely a filter that you can screw directly onto your Sony camera and then screw the Sony lens onto that?
I have a Sony camera and Sony lenses but they're all different sizes so it would be perfect to have an ND 'adapter' for those.
Cheers!
Haha I wish! Sony lenses are built so they don't require an adapter, so if you tried to stick something in between the camera and lens the image would be out of focus. :-/ You should buy a step-up ring with a large nd filter so you can make it fit all your lenses.
I realized that as soon as I posted this comment. Ordering my step-ups :).
Thanks!
May the beard gods follow you always!
thanks for the review, very thorough - definitely NOT buying this adaptor with explanation below
1 - why would any lens adaptor company have any internal part of a lens adaptor chrome? you mentioned that you get some internal flaring (that can look very artistic) but not good if you don't want that "look" - have you tried taking a black sharpie to the chrome area? of course you can't put anything on the adaptor that will effect the flange but I would try to flat black paint/sharpie all the chrome area
2 - starts at 1 stop down - don't want to have to take it off when I'm in a low light situation
3 - works as 2 rotating polarizers - what if you are operating hand held and have a lot of glass, car windows, reflections in your scene? - you will see the polarizing of these surfaces change as your camera's horizon changes (again only when HH)... I have shot with Rosco View (polarized gel) on windows of sets and using a true pola on the camera - by rotating the camera polarizer you can reduce the 5-10 stop over-exposed exterior that you see through the windows but can be a problem when HH as your horizon changes and with that your windows get slightly darker or brighter
4 - what about IR contamination? when I shoot it's either with 4x5.6 or 6x6 ND IR's - and from what I have read a polarizer does not eliminate IR
5 - the colour shift of the adaptor - the main reason to use the highest of quality ND's (with a matt box) when shooting - I do understand that if you're HH and shooting a wedding that a MB FF set-up can get tiresome but if you're going to spend good money on great glass (Sigma Art Series) then I would want to put the best ND in front of it
6 - the loss of sharpness when you polarize down - definitely will lose a major amount of sharpness and contrast when 2 polarizing lens are used as an ND filter
again thanks for the review
Cheers
Mitchell T. Ness CSC
How do you color grade your Reviews/Tutorials? Thanks!
Hey Jason! Here's my color grading tutorial. :) ua-cam.com/video/Ndy5xX8dK0Y/v-deo.html
CAN I USE Vizelex ND Throttle Lens Mount Adapter - Nikon Nikkor F Mount G-Type D/SLR Lens to Micro Four Thirds (MFT, M4/3) Mount Mirrorless Camera Body with Built-In Aperture Control Dial and Variable ND Filter (1 to 8 Stops) ..........TO MY NIKON AF-S 70-300MM LENS???...CAN I
Yes!! Review the Mavic!!
Planning on it! :D
How does it compare to the fotodiox nd throttle fusion? Will this one, Vizelex ND Throttle, be able to control the aperture through camera when using canon lenses?
Hey! Haven't had a chance to try the throttle fusion yet. But I would assume yes.
Just got the fusion in last week for my A7sii. I have been throughly impressed by it. The aperture adjustment works with connection to Canon/ Tokina glass. The build quality is strong and durable while the ND filter ring is smooth! I got this instead of the metabones because I knew I would be doing mostly outdoor daylight shooting. hope this helps!
What do u recommend me if i dont have IBIS in my camera? go and buy native stabilize lenses? (wanna sigma 30 1.4 for sony e!!!)
+Егор Губарев I would probably buy lenses with image stabilization.
;( native sony lenses is so expensive(
Your fav Camera setting for the Mavic would be cool! Which look, codec etc :)
Definitely planning on covering that as I become more familiar with it.
I use this with Samyang(Rokinon) Canon fit lenses on my A7S. Works perfectly. Definitely worth spending the money on if you want to shoot at T1.5 on the 50mm
Thanks Jake! Those Samyang have the aperture controls on the lens right?
Matt WhoisMatt Johnson yep, fully manual. Takes a while to get used to, but the image is go gorgeous
cool adaptor
I want your review of the Mavic and I want it yesterday.
+Kyle Hunt it's coming I promise! Hahaha when I post it you'll understand why it took so long! 😜
Just curious. Why did you put black tape over "Sony" and "A7s" on your camra?
Haha! 2 reasons: 1. So I know which ones are mine if I'm shooting with other people. Mine have the gaff tape. 2. May be superstition but I've read it that it may deter thieves if they don't know how good of a camera it is. :P
Fair enough. Good reasons. And your content is really good btw. Amazingly easy to follow and precise. Really help me out when I got my A7Sii. You're doing a good job mate. Cheers!
Amazing Review, Cheers from Brazil.
What about Sony to Sony Mount? i cant find it
What do you think is the best ND option for sony to sony?9
Samuel Rose Machado, you can't do that because of the flange distance, look it up. Cheers!
So my option is Over the lens filter right =( i dont like the reflex of it
Haha no chance for Sony to Sony due to the flange distance. This only works with non-Sony lenses. :(
I got nikon lens and just got the sony FS5, will this fit on there?
It should!
Nice Matt..
:D Thank you!
Its interesting that you're having more warm-like color cast on your adapter. My canon mount adapter gets images more blue-green cast.
Hey! Definitely possible that there's some color differences from adapter to adapter. :)
But on the other hand, while I film agressive drifting motorsport, it gets me pretty much the color grade i am going towards :P . Yet when I want more warm feeling with other types of filming such as weddings, I need to play with white balance on camera (not easy on sony screen) and in Lumetri as well.
If someone can please help!! I have an sony A7s. I have a Canon 40mm f.28 lense I want to use it on the A7s
So I bought a vizelex ND throttle lens adapter for Canon Ef and Ef-s. And it fits perfectly on the lens.... but my when I try to attach it to my sony A7s, it doesnt fit?? Is the adapter not E mount?
Is there a suggestion to actually make it work on my sony? Thank you to anyone who decides to help!!!!
what about polarizer Matt? and shooting video outdoor?
Thanks Ry! I don't use a traditional polarizing filter, just this when shooting outdoors and in bright areas.
Love your videos dude!!!
Let me ask
Witch adaptor ( except medabone ) you recommend ?
I what 24mm lens ( no need to sell my kidney lol ) you recommend
Thanxs
Thanks! What adapter lens mount do you want? And what lens mount do you want? There are a ton of manufacturers out there.
I don't know :) maybe the viltrox and a tamron 24-70 f2.8? Will it be fast enough for weddings? Or a sigma 24mm on a viltrox or get a sony 24mm and call it a day !! Im thinking a 24mm on the a7 can be used 1: 24mm 2: clear zoom goes up to maybe 35mm and as a super 35 the 24mm is like a 35mm plus clear zoom as a50mm im i wrong? So with one lens 24mm f1.8 i can have lots off distances from my targets and keep the oem af off sony and don't buy adaptors!! Correct me if I think wrong
Thanxs
tbh those lens flares look pretty badass. It's almost anisotropic flares. The JJ Abrams look at a low price.
Hi,Sir I just love your videos I need one help before I sony I was using nikon so I have Many nikon lens I want use those lens with Sony a6300 I need a adapter for video which shoot video in autofocus Is there any nikon to sony adapter which can shoot video in auto focus like sony sony lenses.
Hey! Unfortunately, I don’t know of any adapter that works for autofocus for video with Nikon lenses. :(
Ok thanks sir
no getting around it - adapters rock!
Totally right Simon!
PUBERTY!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA. YES. But I love your reviews dude. Great job!
+Steven Vaughan haha you know it!
Anybody had any problems cleaning the haze from the elements? Not sure what to use besides a microfiber cloth (which is not cleaning)
Hey Do you know if there is nd throttle for Sony a7iii to Sony lense?
Unfortunately no
Thanks for responding! Like your channel!!! Good jobe!
Yeah. Review the Mayahvic!
+Michael Myers planning on it! :)
We all love a bit of close flange distance hahahaha
That's what the ladies like. ;)
11:32 reverse vignette in Premiere?
What camera did you shoot this video with?
Sony a7sii
Matt WhoisMatt Johnson Thank you!
i noticed that theres no support on the adapter~ is that a concern?
Hey Jason! I haven't had any issues but I'm not using a 500mm lens on it or anything :P
ordered and received it! haha thanks to ur review!
does it allow infinity focus?
+azizul zulzaha yes :)
If using a native EF-mount lens, this is like a macro ring ... you lose infinity but it reduces the minimum focal distance.
Fascinating!
make more videos about lens adapters!!!!! i just switched to sony and have all nikon lenses!
thank you!!!
+alexfuentes36 thanks Alex! Planning on more in the future!
What about infinity focus?
Does the af works?
Nope
You're getting to old man lol ! thank you again for this info I needed it specially from a wedding cinematographer.
I got one question though, does your fotodiox pro nex gives you unnecessary/annoying flares some times? Mine does, I tried putting both my 24-105 and 70-200 and it gives me flares when there's particular light in the room/reception. let me know thanks
Thanks Elie! Yes, I addressed the flares in the video. ;)
yeah I know, I wrote this while watching and forgot to delete it... you are awesome thank you!
Do a review of the JVC GY-LS300!
Haha I hadn't even heard of this camera!
Matt WhoisMatt Johnson wow, its possibly the most underrated camera in recent time. It's definitely a powerhouse!
I never trust the vario NDs, because it may have a small holes in a coating. Or it mays have the flatness over the surface
Definite risk, but the convenience of being able to adjust exposure quickly is worth it to me.
thank you for responce, I really like your videos, make the world better!)))
Holes?
Mine got stuck and would not come of the Nikon lens.
+Raffi Alexander major bummer, I haven’t had this happen.
do the mavic review ASAP
Planning on it :)
Sir this is Sony fs5 mark 2 working
