Very helpful step by step directions! Thank you very much Eli !
Tommy, You are very welcome! Thanks for dropping some love.
@@MyAirbags just waiting on you guys to return the module. This is such a great service! Love it!!
thanks very much great video
Thanks for video!
I am glad it help you!
Thank you again
ragomonkey, Always welcome!
Very informative video. One of the best i have seen! My light is on and i am thinking because i bought a flood car. Car drives great, just can't clear the light. i am guessing it is the airbag module, since water was just over it in the center. My question is can those be repaired or do i need to get a used one and have you guys reset it?
sunscorch, Thank you for your comment! We are happy it helped! If you had water over your module, that would be a very good guess as to why your airbag light is on. To know for sure, I would recommend to get the airbag system scanned using a scan tool. If the module is indeed flooded you should see code B1342. This would mean you have to replace the module. We do have a large stock of modules here that we can ship to you. Our inventory module prices are pretty good. All we need is the part number on your module and we check our stock to see if we have an exact match.
You can enter the part number here and search: www.myairbags.com/product-category/parts-in-stock-ready-to-ship/airbag-control-modules-ready-to-ship/

Just used this video on my 2014 SE slightly different process but what a cake walk 😌
How is it different? I’m about to tackle a 14 fusion tmwr and I could use tips to make the job quicker
Thank you
You're welcome! Please keep MyAirbags in mind for any of your future repair needs.
красавчик же есть!
Do you know about the strange beeps in the dash of the 2017 Fusion S? Supposedly from the airbag off light being on? It has high pitched beeps a couple seconds after I start it. Usually once but now it will do two sets of quick beeps. The only info I could find said something about the airbag light being the cause. Could you give me an idea? Thanks you.
I have worked on vehicles for over 40 years and worked at dealerships for 28 of them until 08/03/20. Some of the noises are module background noises. If you we actually having an Airbag Module issue the light would come on and you normally have codes in the SRS Module.
I have a question I bought a module in a airbag in a seat belt for my 2014 Ford Taurus and u just wanted to know will it work the same way
Yes it works same way. Make sure the replacement airbag control module has the same part number as your original airbag control module. If the part numbers dont match then the replacement unit will mot work for you. You can always send your original airbag control module and seat belt pretensioners to myairbags.com for reset/repair.

I have a 2016 Lincoln MKZ and the air bag light intermittently comes on especially on very hot days. I’ve taken it back at least 3 times while under warranty and they claimed m they fixed it it could not recreate the issue. Would this possibly be a fix?
O G,
Its hard to guess what that could be. That doesn't seem like its the module however.
I would recommend to run diagnostics right as the light is on.
Very helpful video but I’m having another problem now after I put the new RCM in most of my stuff started back working but now I’m got an ABS light blinking and the airbag light still on and cruise control isn’t working and my car is a 2019 ford fusion
The new/used RCM (airbag computer module) needs to be programmed to your vehicle. Also, check to make sure the part number is the same as the new replacement part. It is always best to have your original RCM airbag computer module reset. MyAirbags.com can reset your module, and NO Programming will be needed. Because it is the original module that came out of your vehicle and is already programmed to your vehicle.
@@MyAirbags well I send y’all the old one for y’all can reset or fix whatever wrong with it and the new one was bought from ford and supposedly match from my vin
Hello,
I am also having same problem like you. Then what was wrong? How have you fixed that. I would appreciate your help.
hi.how can help my. where can i find 2013-2019 FORD FUSION FRONT SIDE IMPACT CRASH AIRBAG SENSOR location.? thank yuo very match.
Alex, here is good video: ua-cam.com/video/JL2DUCR_k0Q/v-deo.html
Do u have to replace the air bag sensor after putting the air bag modluer in just afraid that it will go into default again
Most people don't replace impact sensors unless you are getting a code for it. Make sure the airbag control module (RCM) is bolted down to the floor tight.
Hey, nice and usefull video but i've changed my module and my abs and esp lights turn on on my dashboard. I have a 2018 Ford Mondeo like the one in the video. Is that normal? (I haven't code my module yet so thats why i am asking.) Thx🙏🏻
Hi, when you replace the module, you should make sure the part number is exactly the same as the original. Then you may need to have the replacement module programmed to the car. When you reset your original module, you can avoid any incompatibility and programming issues.
Hello,
I am also having same problem like you. Then what was wrong? How have you fixed that. I would appreciate your help.
@@rakemafia If your car had an accident you have to take out your airbag mudule and sent it to someone who can remove the "Crash data" from it and all the lights will be gone if the exploded airbags and seatbelts are also changed.
second row passenger side inflatable seat belt deployment control ford fusion This the code I got for airbag
you know where is located to fix
Miguel, The airbag control module is located under the front center console that is between the two front seats. Also, based on the codes seat belt is bad and needs to be replaced or sent to MyAirbags.com for repair as well. If the car was in an accident, then that seat belt would go bad and needs to be replaced or rebuilt. Seat Belt Repair Service: www.myairbags.com/product-category/repair-return/seat-belt-repair/. Airbag Module Reset Service: www.myairbags.com/product/airbag-module-reset-3/. Airbag Module Location: www.myairbags.com/srs-airbag-control-module-location-lookup/
Is of same on 06 /09 ford fusion sr??
Tony, Yes. Please let us know if yours is at all different.
So hey if I send mine off and I put it. Back in will it not throw a code Because the bags are still deployed I just want to get the car running plz help me with some info on this
After the airbag module (RCM) is reset, you still will need to replace the airbag and check seat belts to see if they are locked. They also may need to be replaced. We also rebuild seat belts. The airbag light will turn off when all airbags, seat belts, sensors, and airbag module also known as RCM Restrain Control Module.
i have a 2010 ford fusion . it keep coming up seat belt restraint sensor. were is it thanks
The sensor is in the seat belt harness connector plug. The seat belt is on the side on the b-pillar. The plug is behind the side trim panel. The entrie seat belt assembly needs to be changed or repaired. We can rebuild your seat belts at myairbags.com
Hey thank you for the video. My 2017 Fusion, just showed UP the airbag light, without crash phsycally everything looks good, but light is still on... Scanner says "there are no codes", do you have any idea of what can be wrong?
Probably a bad connection somewhere. A lot of times it is under front passenger or driver seat.
@@MyAirbags Finally I went to another workshop and codes are 3, all of then related to front safety belts tensors... Is a pain
@@juandavidmorales7613 if the vehicle was in an accident the most likely the seat belt pretensioners are bad and we can repair them instead of buying new/used
@@MyAirbagsThank you, thats the problem, the vehicle wasn't crashed, the a/b light just turned on, and today it shows the codes. It is like a factory problem.
@@juandavidmorales7613 yes that is what it sounds like. The vehicle is 2017, about 5 years old. Hopefully Ford will cover it under warranty. If not and you need it a replacement then we can help with the repair.
My 2016 srs air bag light just stays on what do I check for or how do I fix it
Was your vehicle in an accident?
Is that work for fusion 2016??
Yes it will
I just took my 2012 Ford Fusion to the local dealer to replace the passenger airbag as requested by Ford. The only problem was that after they finished the job someone on their team forgot to make sure the air/heat worked. It did not work which leads me to believe that maybe they forgot to plug it back into to the main battery source? When I press the button to allow heat/air into the interior of the car nothing happens. Now I need to take it back in again so that they can fix what they messed up. Any comments?
Hi!
I've never heard of this exact scenario before before but your thoughts make perfect sense. It seems very likely. They may have just disconnected a wire while disassembling and forgot to plug it back in when installing.
@@MyAirbags Yeah, very possibly, or maybe when disconnecting and then reconnecting the battery for some reason that particular fuse blew? It is strange. The air-heat button when pressed does 0 now. Don't ya hate when you take a car in for one thing, they fix it, then another thing goes wrong because of their work. Ugh!
@mikelgravez 1000% !
MyAirbags brother how long will take to rest the airbag module and seat belt to get fix Iam ganna send these too to you guys
Hthanks
No problem
I was not in a my key broke. And .the cut wire. On the to remove the dishbroad to check my vent please help i
What is your question? Please rephrase it.
Why do you have to reconfigúrate or change your seatbelts ?
There is a pyro sensor in the seat belt. It is an explodive charge that locks up the belt. Those parts need to be replaced with new ones, and the seat belt is good again.
Hi, I have 2019 Ford Fusion that has accident on the door side and no airbag deployed. It does show an airbag light on the dash. I have it scanned and it says “ U3000-04 Control module system internal failures” can this be fixed?
We can clear crash data and crash codes. However, the code U3000 is an internal failure code. We do see this code once in a while and sometimes we are successful in removing it and there are times that the internal hardware components are bad and we are unable to clear it. You can send the module to us. We will give you a free shipping label to have the part shipped to us. You don't pay anything unless we are successful in repairing your part.
@@MyAirbags I will definitely do that. Thanks
Happy to help, let us know if you have any other questions
@@MyAirbags I would like to ship the module to you guys. How do I get label to have it shipped. Thanks

Having a rather big issue with my 2014 fusion. The RCM under the center console in the cabin for air bags and seatbelts we bought a diagnostic computer and checked it and it keeps coming up with this error saying the resistance is under specifications B0010 -1A
This originally started when i removed the steering column to replace it and didn't realize there was an air bag sensor hidden inside and i broke the plug. and received an error similar to the one now but it said it was the steering wheel air bag.
I bought a new plug and sensor soldered it back together with no problems and tested the resistance and it was ok. after I unplugged and plugged back in the RCM it came up with the current error b0010 -1A
The pins are all straight on the male end on the RCM I jiggled the wires on the plug itself to see if any were loose and there was none. I have plugged and unplugged all the airbags in the dash and re armed the air bag a couple thousand times and still the same error.
it would cost a small fortune if I take it to a garage, AND they will hold it hostage until I pay to fix it cause it is a safety issue. (Welcome to Canada lol )
Its a long shot but if there is any mechanics who are familiar with this or anyone has a similar issue any suggestions would be very helpful. Thanks in Advance
That is a weird issue,
DTC B0010 DTC comes up as Passenger Frontal Stage 1 Deployment Control. You said you worked on driver side steering column.
@@MyAirbags we did unplug the passenger airbag because of another issue (mode door actuator replacement thought the dash had to come out) but I plugged it back in could that be the cause?
First check the wiring and make sure the plug is plugged in tight. Then would need to use diagnostic scan tool to clear that DTC code
I have airbag light on, fixed broken wire under passenger seat put in a new clockspring and coded in. Airbag light still won’t go off
In most US vehicles (Ford, GM), if the problem is fixed, then the light should turn off the next time you turn ignition on. However, sometimes, you will need a scanner to clear the code. Note, if the vehicle was in an accident/collision, then you will have crash data, and an airbag control module needs to be replaced or reset by myairbags.com
@@MyAirbags the connector underneath the passenger seat had broken wire right at connector to close to make a join. So just joined all the the wires without the connector. Does the connector plug really need to be in place. What purpose does it have
The codes were cleared and on the obd it’s saying frontal deployment still
@@tracyross2115 this would be a crash data code (hard code). The RCM (restraint control module) also known as airbag control module will need to be replaced or reset. MyAirbags.com can reset crash codes/collision codes.
@@tracyross2115 there are multiple computers under the passenger seat. If the airbag light came on because of that wire under the passengers seat. It could be that the wire was for a seat belt to see if you are buckled up or it was for the passenger weight sensor. The passenger weight sensor is to see if the passenger is over 30 lbs to turn the airbag on or off. The reasoning behind this mandate is to save kids or small adult passengers from being injured or killed by the front airbag, which bursts open in about 1/20 of a second. Children under age 12 are not supposed to ride in the front seat of any car or truck.
