I use mine as a Pig Hunting rig. Yeah it is a bit heavy, go the gym a few times a month. It is very accurate. Like my HK91, it never has had an issue no matter the junk ammo I have used.
Thank you for your comment, I unfortunately live in Maryland and we can only have Ak pistols no rifles , but PTR doesn’t look scary so we can have that. Your comment helped me decide.
@@1308SPAZZ Dude I'm in Maryland too. I was longing for roller-delayed HK style gun (91 and 93 are banned) and came across this and realized we peasants can own this in MD. I'll get one in the future if I can find a good price. Also, you can own the VZ58 or Polish Beryl 762SM1 (in 7.62x39) here in MD. Atlantic firearms got the Polish Beryl approved a few years ago somehow.
Hop, my guy this is the only ptr you haven’t reviewed yet when are you going to get one? I think the 32 is the one that makes the most sense especially if you get a short one. I’m dying to see a video on it. Much loves.
BHO works one time. Been there brother. At least it didn't damage the gun. Those collapsible buttstocks weigh almost a kilo more than the fixed polymer buttstock.
@@RobertPatton-kz6lq for me, if it's an AR height optic then it's not a problem and feels alright. If it's lower than an AR height optic then it gets uncomfortable and you feel the recoil more from your cheek having to be pushed against the stock more.

I wish I could say I love mine, but the break in period is killing me. I haven't gotten through 500rds yet because of all the stoppages. I haven't gotten any stove pipes recently, but the light strikes are annoying. Could be the cheap steel case ammo, but I sure don't wanna use brass for such a long break in period
That's too bad. I know they say sometimes you get a lemon from them but will fix it. If you can, I'd check the bolt gap to see if its within spec in the manual, of it isn't, return, if it is in spec and you don't wanna return it right away, maybe a g3 replacement firing pin and firing pin spring may help I believe they are the same as in the 7.62x39 ptr series.
I have a PTR 91 and I ran 500 rounds of ammo through it with various mags, and it jammed multiple times, it turns out something was wrong with it. I shipped it back to PTR and they fixed the issue and sent it back to me, it runs great now 👍.
@@ak_night-stalker0208 strange, wonder if it was a bad spring. I'm sure you know this but I'd replace it with a new spring asap to prevent slam fires or firing easily when dropped.
They do but of you have an nfa item you gotta show them the stamp. But I assume if they hear rapid fire they assume someone brought and nfa item and never told the range officer. But as we all know, all range officers think more than 1 round a second is full auto
Just the ac unity which also has metal in it. I'm positive all plastic bolt hold opens will beak and metal ones would not last long. I think the issue is they are designed for the AK pattern but can't hold up to the bolt slamming forward on the ptr especially since the 7.62x39 ptr is using a 308 recoil spring bolt.

Any experience with AC Unity mags on that rifle? I'm debating getting one of those 20 packs of 30er mags from RTG.

Try. RTG
RTG has Turkish made clones new for half the price of surplus H&K. They fit perfectly. And they're just as heavy as the OEM part.
