ua-cam.com/video/XH9JP6yDkjI/v-deo.html ► The Guardian and Headlong theatre company present a foreign language drama series about the continent, from the continent. Europeans features films made in Germany, France, UK, Ireland, Poland, Sweden and Spain, exploring the relationships of member countries to the European Union
Evanna Lynch is an IRISH actress who PLAYS here. I don't understand why people insult her personally, it's not even her and her thoughts, but what she was supposed to say. She was chosen and because she is famous and had to stick to the script of this satire. As a half-ireland girl who lives in Ireland, I found it funny. Do you need his in your life? I don't know, but I love Evann as a person, that's why I found it, so getting coverage with the name worked.
The underlying message is about "culture". Europe comprises of groups of people's with different languages and cultures and some of those groups are "fighting" to keep their culture's "values". This series seems to me to be a "stop and think" about what that really means and what the implications are.
It feels so weird watching a video where Evanna breaks the fourth wall! It’s like she’s talking directly to us! Anyways I’ve been a huge fan of hers ever since I saw her as Luna Lovegood in the Harry Potter movies! Not to mention, I’m also of Irish descent on my mom’s side!
Yes indeed, I’ve only just realised when the credits rolled that it’s Luna :) Interesting take on the accent & cultural stereotype - a reminder that individuality matters.
As a fellow Irish person, I can't answer that, Jimmy...sorry, jimmy. But I'm obsessed with your inability to spell (creepy), capitalise (Why, Guardian, Jimmy), or punctuate (apostrophe needed in "it's", question mark needed after "us", full-stop needed after "creepy").
@@johnmitchel2901 yea its the official language and died off but i mean nowadays 4/5 people speak English than Irish in Ireland so English is our main language if irish was our first language we'd learn English in school if ya know what I mean

The Tans are at it again

@@Hirotoro4692 yeah,couldn't tell. Tho I tried.
I just came here for Evanna; don't know/care what the issue is with the accent.
It really bothers me that the Harry Potter kids are all around 30 now, it really really bothers me....
Luna... has become even.... more peculiar
Nargles drove her mad

While watching this it reminds me of Niall 😩

The populists NEVER help the popular!
garry simpson
The people.
Populista never help people!
why is the guardian obsessed with us. its a bit creapy
They think you're likely to be anti British. Core value for their base demographic

The accent does things to me
This was a very bad skit or whatever you want to call it coming from a proud Irishman maybe women found it interesting
Is she putting on a more Irish accent
I'm not irish but I'm confused
Why is she speaking in English and not in Irish?
Because English is what we speak because Irish is our second language
@@WookJnr . Irish is the official language and killed off by design.

I think varadkar is thinking more like ireland needs to get more diverse :(
luna pretend to be muggle
Agreed we need more drunkenness and domestic abuse
Not to mention the Magdalene Laundries; those great institutions of social rectitude.
Why did they get a knacker to represent us?
Caoimhín Ó Caoimh
What’s a knacker?

Caoimhín Ó Caoimh
Ouch!
hahaha..oh i should not laugh...oh come tho ...we are not but a couple of generations from trailer trash

Evanna Lynch can play JK Rowling in her biopic
I can't stand the limerick accent
