Super simple to change the door handles. Two handles started malfunctioning after a car wash and just ordered two genuine used ones from ebay (factory color, aliexpress ones are only black and white). The used ones usually go for around $100
Well. Sounds like you have other electrical problems going on in your car, which is why the first one failed. The fuse is a fail safe and cheap to replace. I recommend replacing the fuse, if it blows again. Replace fuse, and check door wiring harness for rips or tears in wiring. Water damage can cause the same issues. The video is just a demonstration and doesn't force anyone to buy and install anything yourself. You are the first to have a issue like that, that I know of.
Got the same issue with my X5, so while you was waiting the 2 weeks for the new part to arrive I’m sure your battery was still being drained. Did you have any issues with start up or acceleration while you was waiting for the new part to arrive?
Hey does anyone know if the inner part of the door handle can be painted? i just received mine and ive fitted my cars outer plastic part of the handle to the new handle. but i kind of want the inner to match the cars paint aswell. does anyone know if this can be done or will that mess up the "touch" open function?
No you cant fix them you just need to replace them. A scan tool will tell you which ones are bad usually the driver handle gets the most use so that one is bad most of the time.

I was just wondering if your handle still works? Some people have also reported error codes in diagnosis on these “non original” handles but they work just fine still.
Hey Daniel, Yes, it still works perfectly. I plan on posting an update video. No error codes. No issues locking or unlocking. It's a shame that BMW charges so much. Everyone loves to keep genuine parts on ther BMW when they can, but for around $40, you just cant beat it. There are also sellers on Ebay that have already imported the item to the US. Go ahead and check it out. Make sure you get the right paint color.

BMW have it painted in your tint so that’s boosts the price I recon. But I can just choose black or white. My car is sapphire black metallic and I read somewhere that the handles are metallic bot cobolt black (I think). Do you think that you’ll be able to spot an immediate difference if you don’t look closely? Sorry for bombarding you but I’m just chocked that you could get them this cheap! 😅
Hey I have a f10 handle is messing up everything have all light on my dash like a Christmas tree and fuse 2 keeps blowing. Went to a mechanic they want $712 to fix handle I think I found one on eBay from China for $50 don’t know if it has comfort access or not tho. Can you please send me the link ?

is it just the handle and the key fob that is part of the keyless entry system or is the keyless entry system integrated in with rest of the car
Just the pressure sensor hands free locking and unlocking. The key fob sensor is a different part.
Do you still get an error when they connect It to a computer, even tho It works perfectly?
I have not received one error.

Yea it can be painted without messing with the sensor.
