The whole album is perfect. Original Robert Johnson music may be hard for a lot of casual blues fans to listen to. Myself included. But E.C. and all of his knowledge and powerful connections has put together a musical masterpiece that explores many different ranges of blues music. Granted this is 8 decades after the original and the technology wasn't available for Mr. Johnson, I'm sure he, his offspring and any mofo who even remotely likes the blues will appreciate this fine work. Salute E.C. for making this happen.
You re absolutely right. This is a masterpiece in its own right and one of the greatest Clapton's accomplishments. And also one of my favourite blues album ever, along with From the Cradle. Blues at its finest. Goosebumps
Oh my...such a love for the blues - EC is SO devoted to Robert Johnson, and I can continually witness it...love it! SteveGadd, Nathan Easton, Doyle Bramhall - So tight!
Eric is alongside bbking, buddy and Robert cray when it comes to singing. He screams the hell out of this world ❤️. It seems as if he had to the throat doctor after this song🎸👌

Terrific groove, but you need a real delta blues singer in there.
