Reedy Fen - Part two - Carp fishing

- After the first two months blanking getting a result the week before made me feel that I was onto something, and had finally found a way to get bites.
As ever it's about finding the key that undoes the lock that leads to a succession of captures.

Reedy fen is a farm reservoir with a good stock of carp. Around 5-6 acres, the margins have extensive reed beds with a thick layer of silk-weed growing down the margin slopes. The deepest part of the lake is 28 feet with 14 feet just a few rod lengths out.

Iv only ever fished two rods but since the last year iv gone back to fishing the river iv now gone back to 3. two carp rods and one on the feeder having fun waiting for the carp rods to go off 🤣🤣🤣great watch mate great to see ya blogs back ✌🏻👏🏻👏🏻

With you on the 2 rods. I used 2 for 20 odd years , but have been using 3 for the best part of a decade. Tbh it’s an extra faff. I’m going back to 2 for the reasons you said - I just chuck it in the margin more often than not - and tangles ( at night especially) are a frilking nightmare. Back to 2 for me. And it’s cheaper!!!!
