I have the 180 black barrel in tin absolutely love them, using them at moment on a Hannah Karlzon book, I also have the 120 round barrel but I do prefer the ones in tin, brilliant video as always xx
This is the most lovely comparison video I watched for the Brutfuner review. Thank you for the information and keep cheerful! I really love the names of the pencils though! 🧡 All the way from the Philippines, keep safe all the time 🥰
Thank you for this video. Have been wanting to know what the difference was in each of these sets. I just got my 120 square set and I LOVE them, I too wish this set had 180 colors but thrilled to have what I have. I have the 150 set of Prismacolor pencils and love them too but being new, I just want to color and have fun and these are letting me do just that. Colors are beautiful and you’re 100% right about how they go down on the paper.
The Brutfuner 120 square are still available on Amazon here in Germany, luckily. I just ordered them and can't wait to try them out and see if they are any different or maybe better than the 160 Brutfuner set I'm currently using (one of the newer sets). I#m very happy with the 160 I'm using now, however. So I really hope the 120 are at least as good as, or hopefully even better than my current set.
@@LisasColoringCorner Thanks for your reply. The pencils already arrived, and while their pigmentation doesnt look that different from my 160 set, they do feel more smooth und buttery when using them. They also have the color names written on every pencil in English now, which is awesome. Love them so far.
The 520 set is brutfuner . They are all the colors that brutfuner makes . Thank you for sharing. They are out of stock now , they went out of stock in 1 day .
Yes, I was waiting for them to come back into stock and got impatient so I ordered them from AliExpress. Without going into detail, I waited forever to get them but finally did the end of last week. So I'll be swatching them on camera in a two-part video and then, hopefully, doing a color and chat using them.
And I have a different set of 180 round, they’re open ended with numbers only, no name, haven’t seen anyone with my set, wish they had color names. They sharpen beautifully and the lay down is very pigmented. Thank you!
I have the square Brutfuner pencils and I really like them. Oh my gosh! Those names are fantastic. Thanks for sharing (and thanks to Pamela). I just watched your 1st video of your coloring book collection from a while back. Amazing collection! You said you didn't have the first volume of the Creative Expression Designing Color. If you still want it it is on sale on Etsy for 14.97. Hope it is still there when you see this if you still want it. Now I am off to watch the second collection video. ;)
Thanks for the video. I didn't like watercolours because of the paintbrush effect but I love the Tombow blender with them it's like using a marker or another pencil. So I'm going to invest in a set now. 😅
Lisa watched you video last night thank you for this comparison . I had just ordered the prismacolor pencils on amazon and I was able to cancel those pencils and order the Brutfuner pencils. I ordered the round in tin box. I think these will be great. Again thank you so much Linda H.
Awesome comparison of the different sets, and I had not seen the watercolour pencil set before - thank you so much for sharing, this is very useful knowledge 👋🏻🤗👋🏻
thank you lisa for your comparisons. i have a 120 brutfuner set . they are round, came in the plastic case with handle, they have no end caps and have brutfuner written in silver , have no chinese writing on them and just have a number stamped in silver. so yet again different from all your four sets. I do like them, they are buttery smooth and i actually preferr them to prismas ! I am going to buy the 120 square set at some point simply because i am curious to see what i think of them. sending bob healing thoughts . from paula across the pond.
Thanks for doing the comparison. I love the Brutfuner squares. You mentioned a sharpener that works well for them, could you please give us the link so we can order it.
Thank you soo much Lisa ❤ I am interested in coloring and need a set with many colors possible. I was torn in between 180 sets with plastic and tin. Their prices are different and I was questioning is the set with tin packaging worth the money. I was able to decide thanks to you. Thank you so much💖💖💃
Yup - got them the end of last week. Finally got them in color order and managed to finish sharpening them all today. Wowzers!! LOL. I hope to do the swatching videos in two parts, hopefully next week. And then want to color a picture with them in a color and chat.

Your video reminded me somewhat of a Jennifer Stay of Coloring Bliss video. You both like to test out and tell us details about a product that we really need to know. Thanks for thr work you did here
Great idea. The Brutfuner family just grows but they mostly look alike. Kinda like they're marrying their cousins and producing lots of look alike kids. Question: Do you put water in your Tombow blender pens? It seems too rich for my pocket book to keep replacing the blenders. They dry up so very fast. Question: When will we see you color with some of these pencils - other than swatching of course? 🎨♿👵Barb N.
I have a video on my channel showing how to refill these and the solution that I make to refill them. I am going to be swatching the 520 Brutfuners in a two-part video. And then I'm going to color a picture with them so stay tuned.
Lisa I've been searching for someone to compare these pencils...so thank you!!!The only one I don't have is the watercolor. Colour comparison of the square to the 180 round Colour barrel?you mentioned linking the afmat sharpener, can you share? I couldn't find the link.
Have you tried frame a drawing made using these pencils and hang on a wall? I would like to know if the colors of Brutfuner (barrel in the metal box) will fade? and how to prevent it if the answer is yes
As far as I know, there is no lightfast information on the Brutfuner pencils. Seeing these are budget friendly pencils, my guess is that they are not too lightfast. It definitely won’t fade as fast if it isn’t hung in the direct sunlight. You could also try spraying a final fixative like the one from Krylon over the completed picture.
I don't see the link for the sharpener. 😢 I just got my first set and they are square and none of my sharpeners will work with them. 😅 Please help and thank you so much for making this video!
