You can hear his excitedness over the efficiency of his power system
I may or may not have taken screen caps of your ethanol build for later reference. Fantastic as always.
Really hoping it lasts 1000 cycles now :)
This is so cool. The math works out so well for a colony run by farmed trees, and the fact that you can get up to 26 duplicants worth of oxygen is huge!
19:30 - Don't worry, I was happy to help out. Anything to get away from that miserable cooking job! 😣
I love when systems can feed/maintain themselves, it's so helpful... Loving this series, stoked to see your dupes tackle and get the other asteroids helping your main colony with little colonies of their own. Fun stuff.
Tyfs. Best of wishes!
"The Sky is the Limit, and this is where we are going"
I wish this episode was 3 hours long lol thank you for the upload love seeing the creative ways you make this colony work
Oh Echo my heart sang when I seen those mesh tiles under the electrolisers’. Thanks for the show keep up the great work Echo
I love Echo's ONI with my morning coffee! Thanks for another great video.
Thanks for another great comment! It is appreciated.
For the liquid tapidizer(can't remember their name yet lol), please add a liquid detection thing(where it detect if there is for example 2kg of water) and a AND Gate connected to the temperature detector and the liquid detection thingy. I have issue in the past where, when the tapidizer didn't have liquid detection and only temperature detection, it will heat up the air temperature near it when there is no liquid for it to heat up, thus overheating itself.
Hi Namri. This is a good idea, although I hope I never get that low on water!
Love the videos echo ridge gaming, keep the quality work and remember, keep yourself healthy both mentally and physcally. And i hope for more quality videos at a later day.
Thank you for friendly comments. :)
Loving this series so far! I always enjoys your content :)
Really cool.
I never will be as good, not as long as I am addicted to Warframe, but I love this for the end of my day. :)
I have always wanted to give Warframe a try.
Cool video echo already waiting for the next :D
Awesome video as always, thanks!
Attempted this ages ago and never succeeded. I never had enough ethanol despite have millions of limber. Heat is a major issue I had to rebuild everything with steel and set up an aqua tuner. I had 12 distillers and 3 generators and tried to run my base but it was running more often to keep itself going without having enough spare ethanol or power to run the base too. I’m interested to see how this works.
I'm going to try that renewable lumber system for my colony next, thanks for the idea.
With all that power and the little hydrogen pockets.... we could do a infinite storage fridge! If we had plastic...
Can do it with a gas cooler. And just let the heat go into the rest of the base.
kudos Echo, doing this playthrough with your seed.
That’s awesome. Thank you for sharing.
That lumber ethanol setup is cleeeean
I might just hafta borrow it.
Your pacing is interesting you are doing some basic things in mid game but at same times it feels like you are moving fast haha
I always get great ideas from echo
I always get great comments from phatbman :)
Really enjoyed this build. Organized and satisfying. Can you explain the large power transformer running the guts of the ethanol production? Isn’t the demand there greater than the 2kW that the conductive wires can handle? The large transformer goes all the way up to 4 kW so isn’t there the risk of overloading the conductive wires?
I thought you were going to come up with a horizontal power spine lol
I see you have Insulated Pipes carrying the Ethanol out of the Distilleries - you may want to consider snaking the Lumber Conveyor rails through the Distillery room to pre-heat said Lumber and cool the CO2 & Ethanol. That Ethanol is already coming out at 73 degrees and vaporizes at 78 - between the Distilleries and the Petrol Gennies, you could be riding the knife's edge, even with the buffer tank.
Bingo. I end up snaking the lumber through in the next episode. The tank was okay but the small amounts sitting in the distilleries were not.
I don't suppose you could make a tutorial video for going into proper lumber industry? Or some sort of blueprint to check out, because I've gotten to a point in a current game where I'd like to have a proper arbor tree system, but it's hard to find a proper source for all the details.
echo there is a error the ethenol distllery may not overheat but its produce ethanol does heats up and change into gas at 75-78.c it will happen if u dont cool it ie distillery (just for triva fun i dont think u can get around this problem even if u use insulated insulation liquid pipes like niobium volcanos)
I will def keep an eye on this. The insulated pipes seem to be holding on my test map. Thanks for the comment.
It’s ok whilst it is sitting in the pipe the issue arises whilst it is sitting in the tank of the generator or the tank of the distillery there is heat transfer from the distillery’s tank or boilers tank to the ethanol you will over time be seeing ethanol gasses floating about and your wondering how and where the hell did that come from a little automation will sort it out as long as the ethanol isn’t in the tank for long, please take a look in the test map let me know your results.
9:30-9:45 its been a while since an incident huh? Almost like the dupes have gotten smarter xD
FIRST! DON'T EVEN WHAT HAPPENED YET BUT I'M HERE!!
How did you avoid the off gassing of Ethanol? That has been my main problem, as I end up with random ethanol in places at 78C
So, you put in conductive heavy watt joint plates for futureproofing the system, in case the power spine draws over 20KW. Fair enough, I have actually had that problem in the past.
Did you put conductive heavy watt wire between them? I can't really see it, but it looks like the standard heavy watt wire.
I really hope so... ha.
How to reveal full map in survival mode ?
do you prefer ethanol in the petrol gens?
No, just whatever we have available to us.
@@EchoRidgeGaming i see, its neat to see the power options you can chain together with the ethanol setup, and it free's up the petrol for other uses. mainly rockets later game.
10:32 Nothing is more permanent than a temporary solution. Trust me, I'm a programmer :p
This is an amazing comment and so very true.
👍
i am sad your pf made me think you were Sir Francis John
