This plant also protects against aphids in your garden, I use it around my hollyhocks & that way the flowers get a chance to open. Thanks so much for this video 🤗
My cat is having digestive problems. I just got a handful of catnip and rosemary to calm my sick cat. Just placed it on the pillow next to him and he has calmed down. Will help me sleep as well.
Several neighborhood cats meet with my 2 cats around the catnip bushes and lamppost in the front yard at night. Amazingly, the bushes have survived and matured to large size despite the "love."😂 Can't say the same for everything the bats and deer ate, but that's ok. We humans don't have the receptors to feel the effects of catnip. I think it stimulates their olfactory nerves so much that they get serotonin and dopamine release in their brains. But it is a great herb for us, too, and I enjoy it in tea.
Good I actually just started growing catnip mainly because I heard that it was a good fever reducer for children... But you didn't mention this at all so I'm wondering if this was actually legitimate for children?

Funny enough, catnip tends to have the opposite effect on humans than it does on our feline friends! While cats are notorious for becoming wild and spunky around this herb, catnip has a much more calming effect on people. Catnip has been used in European folk medicine for generations as a calming agent for body and mind, and the leaves can be tinctured, steeped into a relaxing catnip tea, and added to herbal tea blends. We hope this helps! 🌿🐱

I enjoy listening to you share your knowledge of plants your personality feels like I'm visiting a friend
😊
Another similarity of catnip and lemon balm is the calming effect of both. All of these mint family herbs seem to work with digestion and GI spasms.
One Of My Favorite Herbs, merci. Calming.
Great breakdown of why catnip is awesome. Fantastic for me when feeling incredibly anxious/panicky. Works within no time when taken in tincture form.
So glad catnip is helpful for you!
Thank you for sharing this information! A neighbor gave me some divisions of hers and I am excited to use it.
Great information 🌾💖💪🙏
Glad it was helpful!

It sounds weird, but I love using a probiotic drink before bed, as well.
Cats Love This Herb, As Do I.

I have always grew catnip for the cats, had no idea it was good for humans. So how does one prepare it for human consumption??

My catnip is low growing. Is that just because I prune it often??
Yes
Weeding
cat pot heads and their bummy friends messing up the plants again
🤣
😂😂😂
Hangen out by the nip... 😅
I don’t mean to be rude, but could you just skip the round the world in thirty minutes, and get right to the point ?
