Dear KTM, thank you for making this bike, brush the haters off they weren't going to buy anything anyhow! Me I love this bike and wanted the previous Duke but didn't think it had enough ponies for me as I was riding a modified Busa at the time. Now the time has come to grab the Duke and place one in my garage. I don't care if anyone else likes it, they can simply watch my tail lights recede into the distance. Make an RC8R version and my garage will be complete :-D

I own the new KTM 690 Duke and only thing i can say it's a great bike. But now is time for change. The Beast...see u soon ! Maybe not full orange coloured but very soon !

will be my second drove a 990 second hand. but it had some damage from faling, so decided to save some money. and buy a kawasaki z800 sugomi first. en in 2 years a 1290 super duke.

1290 Super Adventure has a safety flaw in its design, the motorcycle has a major safety problem.
I bought mine six month ago and since day one I have been experiencing head wobble at speed ranging from 100 to 120 mph.
I contacted the dealer and they said “there is a software upgrade regarding the head wobble”
I took the motorcycle to the dealer, after the software upgrade I discovered that the four setting for the damping is not working any more there is not difference in the performance between sports, street, comfort or off-road.

I have a 2012 Kawasaki Z1000 candy burnt orange and the KTM side fairings look very similar. Heck, they even use a Z decal on it similar to Kawasaki. The fairing on the headlamp gives it the Z look as well.... not that this is a bad thing, just an observation is all.

Believe me... I had a Z800 and Z1000 and they are good. But not Godlike.
