I'm basically a newbie, just starting to research coding, programming. I have to say, content like this, is a gold mine for people getting into coding, programming, IT in general. The more you know all around, the better off you'll be. I tried to study coding a few months ago, and stopped, after I posted in a group on Facebook that I was studying HTML, boy I got put down for it. I learned fast and decided after that, that the next time I would go into coding, I wouldn't tell anyone what code or computer language in particular I was studying. I had no idea, how biased people are in the cyberspace realm. My advice, learn, and keep learning, watch interviews, listen to podcasts, keep up with the news, dabble in a bit of everything.
This video hits it home directly. As a professional, business owner, and IT instructor myself, I can 100% agree that the CEH is NOT what you want to promote as an ethical hacker. No offense, but taking any exam that's purely multiple-choice without any hands-on practicability is not worth mentioning to other professionals you may be working alongside. Even the new CCNA and CCNP, sorry, but without full-on configuration and design, do you really know the material enough to implement it. And if going for a job that expects you to have the CEH, you can easily mention other certs like the eJPT or OSCP to win your seat when talking to the hiring manager. Thank you David and Neal for this. This needs to be spread more!!
Thanks for the feedback but i need a perspective as a newbie in the field we just want a cert to get hired so even though it is not enough to build you up but as long as it gets you to a job that's something or am i wrong?

"Who you know" applies to just about any career. I accepted 2 jobs that were given to me as "favors", I will never do that again. The relationship with the employer changes dramatically. All of a sudden you're doing everyone favors because, no matter how good or qualified you are, you got the job based on a friendship. Also, having hashtags CEH and OSCP in the title says everything. Take a cert that teaches things you want to learn, things that will take you on your career path. Keep networking!

Its true many industry experts now put more weight on hands on skills than certs perhaps due to large number of certified professionals available in market. This is where cert providers should step in to maintain integrity of their certified professionals rather than treating this as money making business. One way is to add some relevant experience as pre-req for getting cert as some providers are doing like ISACA (for CISSP exam).
Not sure if it's changed but there probably wouldn't be as much cheating if they would create the tests based on the actual learning. I've taken so many IT certs to know that you can read a book, take a course, understand the material and still fail the exam. CCNA in 2013, took $2k class by a certified Cisco instructor, read the official CCNA book twice, build a lab, went through the official tutorials multiple time: failed cert exam.
The real question is which cert actually teaches me how to be a great ethical hacker. To actually learn how to be one etc … who you know doesn’t matter if you don’t how to do the job
I think it's a bit harsh saying that it's a big problem with the websites containing exam dumps because I'm doing CySA+ at the moment and the content of the course I have and paid for isn't enough to pass the exam. I've spent a lot of time and put a lot of effort to learn all the material but the real exam questions are completely different. That's why I'm using the exam dumps as well and researching independently why "this" answer is correct and not "that one" however the problem is that many times 2 answers are technically correct and you don't know which one you should mark, you have to guess what the person creating the question had in mind. it's really frustrating.
First of all, absolutely LOVE the last few videos with Neal they've been extremely helpful. One question though. It seems that Neal talks about pentesting and ethical hacking a lot in these videos and certs which is offensive security. But as someone who is interested in the blue team do the certs mentioned apply to defensive security/blue team as well?
Life was good and nice when you met the great person to help you to achieve your Aims And objective. Thanks to Hitecyberspace On Telegram that helps me to achieve my goals and objectives in life even do when I lost Hope of living. The Best Hacker of the year 2020.
I like the CEH version 9 and version 10, the 5-day training is a good basic step to understand hacking methodology only. But I feel people should not be classified a certified hacker based on second-guessing multiple-choice questions only. I think it should be more hands-on in the exam...in the UK anyway.
Neal is correct on the CEH cause I heard that its not recommended to get from what I been told by people. I'm about to be done with my Masters in Cybersecurity and it was a goal of my to do, the only problem is I'm having a hard time figuring out what cert to get and with applying for job after job you never hear back so my need neal help to land a job LOL!!!

Offensive Security courses are so expensive. Why do I need certification if I can teach myself the skills I need and further develop the skills I already have in order to become employed if I can work as an independent consultant?
A question popped up in my mind, if there are 3.5 million unfilled cyber security positions, how come the Person you mentioned (Sam Radwan) is hustling finding one. But I hope so him getting connecting with David, will reduce way more his hustles finding job!

@@davidbombal well I love both David 😅 due to experience issues in india CEH requires more so I thought of getting a strong base in networking anyways thank you for advice keep up the good work love from India fan boy 🔥🔥✌️✌️
Over the years I have seen that if someone with CEH said anything about his qualifications, achievements or skills it is most probably false. The percentage of imposters in any paper mill like EC-council is too damn high.
9 blue team jobs for everyone 1 red pentester? I prefer not to be cliché - what are some blue team jobs that would be most likely to be remote? blue team certs? Job security is more valuable than pay.
I agree with Neal, but I also disagree. It sucks we have to get passed the gate keepers with things like security+ and ceh. However I personally want to actually learn the material. So I don’t use brain dumps, I use actual lectures and try my best to learn it.
Great content as always. My kid (9 yrs old) told me thw other day that he wants to be a hacker, that comment brought a big smile to my face. I told him that I support him 100%, now the thing is I dont know where to start. Any advice. Thanks in advance
If it were me, I'd get him a used laptop, and have him install older Linux and BSD distros on it. Go through the manual install process. Get wireless working on Slackware version 9 or 10. Install a 10 year old version of FreeBSD. Teaches patience and information finding. Plus, the entirety of good 'hacking' is knowing what is happening under the hood.
That’s really awesome content in your channel well done to u both. Maybe you make video how to study for a certificate? It will be great video Thanks David

Iam new in this channel and "hungry to learn", i started a year ago learning cyber security. This channel and these videos are helping me alot to figure out alot of things. Thank you very much for your time and effort that you put to give us more and more informations.
I have CEH and it helped me a lot in my carrier. I know lots of people flame about CEH, I took it around 2012 and back then it was pretty good recommended.
Thank you for sharing your experience! Glad that it helped you :)

I signed up for the ceh because very few people will even review a resume without a CEH or something that they will recognize. So he is correct!
This video have answered all my questions regarding EH certs. Thanks!
I am currently studying CEH ... And trust me guys it's worth it ...❤️ All those paid certificate are worth it. All you need is to just get into it... What you are paying for is worth it! , Because you worth it ... 👍
What job did you get with it?
What a wonderful explainer I saw in my life. Thank you.
From Sri lanka.
Thank you Mayodhya!

You guys are awesome. This is Gold. Thank you.
Yeah "who you know" is massive.

Thank You for the content, I am a 1st year student and willing to pursue career in cybersecurity. I don't have the required skills as I am just starting but I can work for you as intern after I clear my basics and stuff.

Much love from India 🇮🇳
Its true many industry experts now put more weight on hands on skills than certs perhaps due to large number of certified professionals available in market. This is where cert providers should step in to maintain integrity of their certified professionals rather than treating this as money making business.
One way is to add some relevant experience as pre-req for getting cert as some providers are doing like ISACA (for CISSP exam).
Love it! I have seen new folks getting in cybersecurity by taking bootcamp programs any opinion 🙂
Awesome video. I have learned so much from you guys🎉 keep up the great work
Hi David I am from India, Kerala loved your content i am poor in English but i love tech .
Awesome advice n grt perspective from Neal bridges
Men you're awesome i really like your videos and appreciate the hard work you're doing to help people on their careers❤️❤️keep it up
The real question is which cert actually teaches me how to be a great ethical hacker. To actually learn how to be one etc … who you know doesn’t matter if you don’t how to do the job
Yes! Thank you David!
Your Videos Inspire me a lot …even tho I am struggling to get intern in my area...
Never give up.

For me with a certification, go with what your spirit tells you to pursue like right now am ready for CEH
😭ur great I feel motivated when I watch ur videos 😃
Very good series and nice
Every time I'm waiting for your new amazing contents
focusing on getting an IT fundamentals as a beginner. Doing A+ +sec + python developer and psp. In two years I'll have a cyber security career
How did it go?, Did you get your A+ and sec+ , Network+.
Best Content, Sir
Thank you Jawlaya!
This is very on point. You have a cert? That's fine just be sure that you know what you have or else you'll look like a fool.

You just put a guy in front of almost 11,000 sets of eyeballs (as of the time I'm writing)? That is AWESOME!

I am only and trying to get CompTIA security plus. I think certs are over rated to the extend anyone a remember test questions but thinking out the box is the game changer.
Boss I'm such a big and a crazy fan of u🤩😘
David sir you're Great ❤
Thank you Mohit!

Offensive Security courses are so expensive. Why do I need certification if I can teach myself the skills I need and further develop the skills I already have in order to become employed if I can work as an independent consultant?
Python - > 100%
Shell Scripting - > 100%
Powershell - > 10%++(ongoing)
David I purchased your CCNA free when it was Christmas but I'm unable to use it because it only shows few videos that are only there like 20 videos
A question popped up in my mind, if there are 3.5 million unfilled cyber security positions, how come the Person you mentioned (Sam Radwan) is hustling finding one.
But I hope so him getting connecting with David, will reduce way more his hustles finding job!
I really love Ur conversation guys !
Thanks a lot David for an invaluable content you keep making and hosting amazing ppl
I want to ask you is PTS (eJPT) the best for getting hands-on experience is a beginning Cert??
🔥🔥🔥🔥❤️❤️ great video again very informative . It contains the real case scenario of CEH .I think which is the best part of this video and it's very helpful for the newbies in this field. Good job Mr David.🔥🔥🔥
Sir. You are really Awesome
Hyy David excellent content, I'm gonna do my first cert which one should I do first CCNA or ceh just getting advice from youtube mentor as you 😊✌️
Thank you Magesh. Do either first. Do you like networking? Get your CCNA. Do you like cybersecurity, then get your CEH.
@@davidbombal well I love both David 😅 due to experience issues in india CEH requires more so I thought of getting a strong base in networking anyways thank you for advice keep up the good work love from India fan boy 🔥🔥✌️✌️
From United States of America Army says Thanks to Hitecyberspace On Telegram, he's the best Hacker in the whole world and trusted hacker.
Over the years I have seen that if someone with CEH said anything about his qualifications, achievements or skills it is most probably false. The percentage of imposters in any paper mill like EC-council is too damn high.
I didn't understand quite right. Those with CEH have a false certificates or that the real certification course isn't of any use?
You guys are great!!
Thank you!
9 blue team jobs for everyone 1 red pentester?
I prefer not to be cliché -
what are some blue team jobs that would be most likely to be remote? blue team certs?
Job security is more valuable than pay.
Interesting title
Thx Mr.David
You're welcome Ali
Man I love your videos ❤️
Iam preparing for CCNA from your udemy course ✌️
Fantastic Praveen. Thank you for your support!
Gold content, thanks a lot !!
You're welcome!
Great Content. Thank you!
hey david sorry for offtopic , can you confirm latest chrome version 88.0.4324.146 has a trojan in it ?
Great video would love to hear about kubernetes security topics and cloud there is not much abouyt it
I agree with Neal, but I also disagree.
It will be great video
Thanks David
Thank you Mark. Great suggestion!

Is Neal bridges copying heath Adams ( cybermentor) or Heath copying Neal? Both looks the same. Or is it a trend?
Hey David, I've learned so much from your videos. I wanted to ask, where are you on the KLCP? (Kali Linux Certified Professional) Is it worth having or marketing ploy?
Very nice info David
