Yes as a former auditor I had to retest IT controls where the school had wide-open no user name or password into the administration offices. Wow. That’s like basic IT active directory stuff setting up groups and network user names and passwords.
That Hospital story is 100% right on the money, I travel the USA and go to hospitals, you can literally walk all the way into the OR if you know what you're doing and what to say. Also Ive seen maybe 2 out of 100 even have port security, most you can just plug in and get online.
Just ordered the pentesters blueprint and social engineering. I also went to Barnes and noble today and picked up Penetration Testing : an introduction to hacking. Read it is a bit outdated but still a great book
I like this video because I have been looking for some books on where to get started. I am going to school for software development but really want to learn some cybersecurity as well. I would appreciate another video on CURRENT books for beginners!

Sitting next to someone in Healthcare without wearing a badge.... sounds fishy to me. Not saying it didn't happen, but if you don't have a badge NO ONE is talking to you in healthcare.... however, your videos are great, David. Great job, sir!!!
You Are amazing.I don't Khow how to thank you for such a great videos you posted and shared with us.There are giving us a complete Khowledge to get started with Cyber Security and what to do in order to learn, participate and get hired. You are truly a Hero.
Sir can we have a ctf/hack the box walkthrough video if possible? It would show us what it is actually like to gain expertise in the necessary areas of cybersecurity. Loving your content as always ❤️
Your videos are absolutely super David I really love to watch and I am really inspired by those technical things .... your awesome and valuable experience is our asset .... thank you so much sir
It's amazing what great condition all those books are in. They barely show any sign of being opened!... the books I own, read and study out of are well worn, bookmarked with post-its, and generally show a lot more signs of wear. They only look like the ones he holds up in this video when I first get them, or when I make a deal with a youtuber to just promote them and pretend they are my own.... it's amost like there's a bit of social engineering going on here to maybe sell some books?
Extremely imformative video. Thank you both David and Niel. I'll get those books to start at my Ethical Hacking journey 🙂 Definitely will be one of my saved videos for book reference.
Uncle David is like a miracle that was sent to me/you ,because he has a good teaching method , he also created a room for you/I to understand thank you again and again
Metasploit has nmap built into it might as well use MS as you learn Nmap. I know Nmap is its own “platform” so to speak but it only makes sense to me once you dive deep into one you are bound to forget what you learned about the other.
Thank you David, you're always the best when it comes to giving out IT vital information. you're a role model to some of IT newbies like me.. i love you i love you i love you..

Sitting next to someone in Healthcare without wearing a badge.... sounds fishy to me. Not saying it didn't happen, but if you don't have a badge NO ONE is talking to you in healthcare.... however, your videos are great, David. Great job, sir!!!

You're welcome ABDR !
Did you get the books as promised? It's a year now.
@@justicegodfrey6267 Hi, yes I did get the books and it was really helpful. It helped me with my ejpt certification as well 🙂
Uncle David is like a miracle that was sent to me/you ,because he has a good teaching method , he also created a room for you/I to understand thank you again and again
What about Metasploit book by Dave Kennedy?
Metasploit has nmap built into it might as well use MS as you learn Nmap. I know Nmap is its own “platform” so to speak but it only makes sense to me once you dive deep into one you are bound to forget what you learned about the other.
Thank you David, you're always the best when it comes to giving out IT vital information. you're a role model to some of IT newbies like me.. i love you i love you i love you..
