I switched to homeschool after a threat at my daughter's school this year she's 13
I was homeschooled. I loved it.
I don't blame them I would do the same.
My children both have been state schooled. However, they received an excellent education there (north of England). It depends where you live. Btw: In our Highschool (in UK for 11 to 15) children who get caught with any kind of weapon, usually knives, get banned from school. Unfortunately knife crime amongst youths is a huge problem in the UK, hard to be tackled. Banning guns are no guarantee for avoiding crime, it’s recognising personality disorders in young people. We never had this problem when I grew up in the 70 and 80ties. 😢
Duh!? Anyone that is able to home school should keep their babies safe by home schooling. It’s a no brainer! If our country isn’t going to make changes to keep our kids safe we will have to take it into our own hands to protect them!
Careful…. The school boards may label you a “domestic terrorist” for THINKING that way. LOL
It’s about time. I mean who sends their kids into these places, the education itself is beyond terrible. There is literally no reason to send your child into these establishments.
Good for them, take their education 👏 into the parents hands...🥳🥳🥳🥳❤👍
Sadly though there are some parents who will not home school their kids as it takes time and patience and they do not have either. It's sad that our world has come to this .. God Bless the children
Homeschoolers do get together with others regularly so they do get to meet kids their age and do P.E. and other activities together. They aren't shut ins. 😀
Their. You’re welcome.
they have dramatically fewer interactions with other people their own age on an incidental basis
@martin stone you don't believe in science
@@tahoeclay 🤣 multi-tasking = brain cell loss apparently 😉 Thank you. It drives me bonkers when I see grammar slaughtered too.
@@rudiruttger
No, not necessarily. I’ve met quite a few people that were homeschooled and even though they all had different experiences, many of them would do/be involved in many activities and get togethers of others who were homeschooled, a lot of time around people the same age too. Some even were predominantly homeschooled but would take a class or 2 at the local school. It’s different from everyone
If I had young children I'd home school. The kids have to take a test T the end of the year to make sure they're on par with public schools. Most of the time they are way ahead of a child in the classroom setting.
Exactly. My son was far ahead of those his age.
Yes, the studies we do have show that homeschooled kids regularly outpace kids in other educational settings.
I'm in the Uk but been Home edding for almost three years. Best thing I ever did.
They need to TAKE OFF schools fees/tax OUT of property taxes!
I’ve done it when my children was in public schools I switched them because the school system was just failing my family and it was just to much fighting and bulling. Thankfully my family has finished with schooling.
Too. You’re welcome.
@@tahoeclay Did you mention “my children ‘were’ “
@@aurora571000 Yes..
It's about time.
Well the kids seem to have been just fine for 2 years without the public schools home schooled and remotely
That’s a good idea anyway. I see and hear from many homeschooled kids to do a lot better than same age state schooled kids, especially regarding life skills. It takes s9me courage, though and only really works when parents can work part time, have a strong social network. Then again: Look out for homeschooling groups in your area. Good luck! 🍀 ♥️ Also another good thing: Less state control. 😉
Not always. It depend on the parents’ effort or lack thereof, depending on the grade. Some parents are lazy and do not keep up with their children’s work and to meet deadline, they are doing the kids work for them and the kids learn absolutely nothing. Also, a lot of these homeschool kids can lack social skills if they have no interaction with peers outside of school. I’m 100% in favor of homeschooling, especially when it comes to the children’s safety and the parents feeling less stressed and anxious about their children in school in the climate of violence and mass shootings, but like I said, it’s not always a good thing for every child. Also, remember all parents are not necessarily literate to help their child with school work.
@@AW-ue2ls You’re quite right. That’s why the increasing anonymity in neighbourhoods is so problematic! It’s so important that families have good solid social networks. Anyways, children need large social networks around 5hem also in order to learn about boundaries, interactions and healthy connections, mainly as a safety net. Parenting in isolation is never a good thing!
@@Chris66Mas you sound like a nosey Karen. The last thing I want is a STRONG SOCIAL NETWORK of Facebook Qanon moms in my life. Women drag other women down. How about people mind their own business. Republicans are so obsessed with telling people how to raise their children
What's going to happen to all of those empty school buildings? Why not turn them into living spaces for people living on the streets.
I would homeschool today too. But it’s not possible for all families to go that route. Schools need to improve security. Lock all doors. Teach staff better. In Israel ; all the schools have men and women with guns- trained properly. US will need to follow. Churches too. Etc.👀
I've been HS for 5 yrs for my dtr since 3rd grade I saw the writing on the wall where she was in a great district but they had no clue how to protect all the kids. Schools and leaders are guessing and I refused for my dtr to be a part of a failing experiment!! Fast forward to now, I'm so sad that I was right.
I am seriously considering it. In my state of CT they removed the distance learning option this year that we had the past 2 years from covid. So there is no way to do it through the school system or state. We only have private paid options. I don't know how I'd do it logistically or financially. If you have any advice or info that can help please reply.
Hi! I have homeschooled in CT for last 2 years and will continue. No state requirements just a letter of intent to school system- no assistance either its all out of pocket and up to you to research best curriculums. My kids are way better off and have learned so much more and are safe which is huge. I have a rising 3rd, 5th and 9th grader- you can do it! Financially it is tough search for used products. It is more expensive for high school just spent the same on my son as I do for both younger ons combined. UA-cam homeschool videos help but if you are non religious like us it can be difficult. Good Luck!!!
@@sarahbennett7235are you able to claim your homeschool on your taxes? Please don’t miss this opportunity- in NC it’s only 1,000 per student (though the state is saving 20K per child that they would have to pay to the school district, crazy huh) I will take every penny. ❤
I have my little ones also enrolled with “aTime4learning” which helps maintain records. I can also add any scores of pieces handled outside of the program. I’m so happy we are all able to keep our babies safe at Home.
I glad I don't have any at home 🏡🏘️
This is sad all the way around
and teachers are quitting in droves.....
Every well minded person should be armed. Stop these tragedies and many more like it by providing our citizens with resources to combat this evil. There is literally no other way, singing KumBaYa and stripping citizens of said resources is Never. Going. To. Work.
lol okay and then you have a civil awr in the classrooms?
Homeschooling has always existed. Before public schools and private schools, kids were being homeschooled. Homeschooling is not a new movement, and it is better than public school in a lot of ways.
I was about to be a freshman when Columbine happened. I prayed it would never happen again. Im now 36 and NOTHING has changed.
Yes yes and YES
You can notnot blame them for home schooling.
But it is something the corrupt swamp goverment does not want.
It's amazing that there are nearly 300 mass shootings and yet we've heard of... 4.
The expert said it, homeschooling sucks
On the bright side, we will be getting smarter children and young adults without public schools.
Studies show school attendance reduced violence... after school programs reduce violence. Their answer is never to send kids to school... what will happen next? You tell me.
It's hard u can shelter your kids until they r adults but dangers are everywhere even as simple as driving 2 the store. I understand though...
Homeschooling is definitely not sheltering. It's completely different from that. My kids are so far from sheltered.
I legimtaltely heared of people be afraid to HONK in the USA by now because you can't be sure if the honked on might would pull a Gun. Let me tell you this is ridcolousness wild western shit for anyone outside of the country and continent. They have never developed futher and beyond that and they probably never won't so Maddie Freemann will be going on before 2060.
The GOP had their chances; all they've sermonized are excuses and terrible ideas. Their ways do not work nowadays. Vote them out of office.
You're entitled to your opinion, but not to your own reality, leftie.
No
Absolutely! VOTE BLUE 💙.
@@sonnyroy497 Voting blue is what got us into the mess we're in now.
Nope
Honestly I think this is actually one of the few good ideas left over in the USA. Also that someitmes you can mix it, so some online schools seem to allow if the pupils-students and local schools are cool with it to get hobby and extra credit in brick and water but for the rest you can't be bothered with puberteers because you had schoon "online at home here" so Marry couldn't evne have told yo that at 2pm because seh already was at home by then.
And if I'd live in the desensetized USA I for sure would not let my Kids go to school when you don't know if they're alive after an 4-8hour day anyway. Obviously, it seems like you all can still got shot up in superamrkets and parks as well but I can't blame parents for trying to substract the eventualties.
Parents were turning to homeschool during the pandemic and then the teacher grooming our children!
It's been so heartbreaking 💔 the number of parents who have offered their children up for an experimental drug.😣.
School shootings and teachers teaching our kids "they" is singular. Is just to much. Teachers don't have enough time to teach cursive but all of a sudden have plenty of time to teach our kids about they he, she, him, her, or it .. whatever.
Great news, but when will our Lenin Board of Education try to outlaw homeschooling?
Right? That's what I heard in this. "Lack of meaningful oversight".
Hi
We just need small learning environments with high fences and locked gates around them. Guard dogs too, and effective electronic alarm systems. Shalom to us only in Christ Yeshua returning soon to reign over the world from Jerusalem.
This sounds like a prison. Don't forget, bullet proof windows, steal doors, locks that only open by remote, THIS IS NOT AMERICA!!
The school is the stop gap!
When the school fails at that the public loses faith in that. Every school in texas needs to be in compliance with Abbotts safe school program. Schools need to restore the publics faith that they can infact keep these kids and staff safe.
I think the question should be, “Why would ppl send their kids into theses indoctrination centers?” Home education has been around for centuries, and the stat show that home educated students outperform both public and private, despite whether parents are “experts.”
If ya can...
And critical race theory being taught......
Bidens new threat to withhold fundings for school lunches for schools that don't comply with lgbtq and transgenders being able to compete in the activities they identify with.
He wants to punish kids and the families that would normally meet the criteria of these programs. Never mind that many for many of these kids this is the only decent meal that they may recieve for the day.
Title 9 was once for women and girls. Title 9 no longer represents or protects biological females.
Biden and the proggresive leftists don't care about women. They don't care about kids. Their goal is to spread that ideology and turn children into the next generation of social warriors for them.
The last days - Christianity; the evil latter day of the law - Buddhism
In the lone star state, law enforcement lets the gunman use all their ammo first , as they are outgunned and scared to get shot at 😂 , I’m scurred, the emo boy has a gun 😱 eek !!!
Don't think that has anything to do with covid-19 right now.
Nope..its us humans killing each other. We're the real pandemic
@@funkytown2023 more like progressive indoctrination on schools is the reason
Until Christian prayer is put back in schools NO American student should attend. Get home schooling.
Because schools should be forced to support your religion! How about about teachers teach facts not beliefs !
@@kennyknackers6084 - No one will force any religion only the fear of GOD which is the beginning of wisdom.
@@talos2373 so it’s schools job to teach fear of god , I’m sorry I thought that was what churches was for!
Amen. Bring Jesus back into your homes and schools
Prayer is good. It doesn't necessarily have to be Christianity. To FORCE anyone to pray to any particular religion goes against what this country was founded on: FREEDOM of religion. Freedom is my Religion.
This is going to be catastrophic. People are extremely dumb to begin with then they think they can teach their kids!? The poor kids are going to be so uneducated.
Wow! You definitely do not understand homeschooling. The education and the material taught is so much better than the stuff taught in public schools.
The ones that are ignorant and lazy should just sent their kids to the schools then. The parents that care will homeschool. The stats already show that homeschoolers outperform their public and private school counterparts, so apparently, the homeschooling families are not the dumb ones.
Your kids are being homeschooled by D students.
Racism
Need new law new workers new president all over world
Parents are justifiable far more concerned about the dangers of rampant indoctrination..
Ummm absolutely not
Yes, that's why we never made our children attend church: indoctrination.
I know safety is important for our children, but we can't protect them from the outside world forever.
