The Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman served a total of 4,682 days in jail throughout his life. He remained seven days in prison in his school life during British rule. The rest of the days were in the Pakistani regime. Bangabandhu had to spend one-fourth of his 54 years of life. In the Pakistan period, he was sent to jail 18 times and faced deaths two times. In his ‘Unfinished Memories’ book, Bangabandhu narrated the incidents till 1955. He composed the autobiography while he was staying in jail from 1966 to 1969.

He got so emotional by after seeing that there was no photo of Quaid e Azam in Mujib's drawing room that he destroyed his portrait then i have a question that what action he did against those people (Mr Ayub Khan and company) who literally did Charecter Assasination of Quaid's sister Miss Fatima Jinnah. Shouldnt he had rebelled against ayub khan for this henious act ?
The operation to capture Mujeeb was carried out by Captain Bilal. He later embraced martyrdom in December 1971 and is buried in east Pakistan.

Two years ago, in Leicester, UK, there was a demonstration on the streets by right wing Hindus. On the way, they clashed with some Pakistanis. There was a big fight. The police were called and they arrested people from both sides. After that, the whole Bangladeshi community in UK declared support for the Pakistanis against those right wing Hindus! Mind you, those Hindus had attacked Pakistanis, not Bangladeshis.
What's the use of abusing Pakistan on social media while DOING NOTHING against it?

Reason why Bengali officers/men were kept at bay was the horrendous acts of shameless brutality committed on West Pakistanis, Biharis, pro-Pakistan Bengalis by the Awami League militants and their supporters in 110 cities and towns of East Pakistan in March 1971 well before Operation Searchlight. As for Maj. Ziaur Rahman, he was wanted for murdering his CO Lt. Col. Abdul Rashid Janjua and his fellow officers before absconding!

Quaid would have never taken the case up if he knew then what was going to happen to the people of the Indian sub-continent and especially the Indian muslims. The current fanaticism in India, Bangladesh and Pakistan would have easily been avoided and India would have today been the largest country by population in the UN. The British knew that and sliced and diced India at will leaving it poor from the onset. House of mujibur is not a personal property of Pakistan but its private residence of mujib family. Whose pictures. My houses my rule. Which pictures will be in drawing room that is the personal choice and right of the owner. Now I understand why these people was surrendered because they lost the morality as human.

This man Col Rifat who is proudly saying that when I raided the house of Dr. Tajuddin, surrounded the house, broke the door, opened fire and entered in house, is getting emotional saying that the picture of Quaid e Azam wasn’t present in Sheikh Mujeeb house so he angrily insulted painting of Sheikh Mujib on the roads. Extreme hypocrisy and Fironiat of Pakistani elite. shame and this is the reason why Bengalis hated them and made a separate country.
You seem to have selectively skipped the middle where he had pictures of Indian Presidents, Politicians & Leaders in their place. urdu is not punjab's language nor it belong to any of the state. It was language of unity. Everybody spoke urdu then. even today many bangalis understand and even speak urdu very well. Bangladesh army too committed horrendous atrocities on non-Muslim Chakmas of the Chittagong Hill Tracts in the late 1970s and early 1980s.
Thousands of Chakma women were sadistically raped and thousands of young Chakma men were murdered in cold blood. All this was done by Bangladesh army troops.
In fact, the Bangladesh army went a step further. It simply changed the demography of the Chittagong Hill Tracts by settling lakhs of Bengali Muslims there, turning the Chakmas into a minority in their own land.
