I’m sixteen years old and obsessed with punk rock, I plan to make a band similar to this I’ll update the comment if it ever happens. This band is extremely amazing.
Same! I’m almost 19 and it’s my goal to just create as much as I can. Ever since I found out punk was a thing, I knew I NEED to make a band in my lifetime!! Rn I’m just in the writing process but hopefully that will change soon.
As a follow up to my comments on the magnificent Urban Waste e.p. here is a live video of the band at CBGB''s. The sound is just OK but believe me, I was overjoyed to find that the band in their heyday was actually filmed and that the film has been posted on youtube. Sadly three of the members are no longer alive. Singer Kenny Ahrens, bassist Andy Apathy and drummer John Dancy are no longer with us. That makes this video all the more precious. In times like these it gives me solace to know that death is the biggest lie, even though it certainly appears to be true. In fact, death seems to be all around us in this world. But only change exists. There are no nouns in the world, only verbs. Nothing ever comes to a complete stop. We have lived hundreds and hundreds of lives and these three musicians are probably now living here just as you and I are.
Kenny was my best friend when we were in rehab on Long Island in the late '70's. He was a such a sweet kid. Started going to the EV with him, seeing early punk, slam dancing and stage diving. Lost touch a couple years later as he got sucked in an became the infamous Kenny Waste. Miss that kid... 🙏💔🙏

These Guys get so little credit... i wonder why hahahah JK JK i think they revolutionized the scene, i mean fuck they were one of the first punk bands to go Grindcore!!! Mixing brutal screams with a blast beat... un heard of at the time
That's how it was back then. Nazi's forced their way into shows and didn't give a shit what the bands politics were about as long as the music was loud and aggressive. I was at M.D.C. shows not that long ago that a nazi's and boneheads were at. I asked them why and they said they hated cops too. Plus ya gotta figure new york 70's/80's punk/hardcore/left/right were all on the fringe of society, unlike now. And of course the ramones were well known for having left and right wing members. Not justifying it, just sayin thats the way it was back then. Same with in L.A. You had racist white suburban kids going to see Reagan Youth and The Dicks.

Not even in the same category IMO
Both bands are great in their own respective ways
