I bought my son this exact truck for his birthday last July. I can say he's not gentle with it. Then again he is only 4 years old but cannot imagine playing outside in the backyard without at least playing with his RC truck one time. Other than the body starting to crack and the ESC doing a high temperature shut off in tall grass... this thing takes an absolute beating and I would recommend it to anyone that wants a cheap RC truck for their kids. Awesome video!
It's unheard of ,they finally listened and built them to last, people are buying body's for cheap cars 🚗 😅 old days it'd be useless before you bust the shell 😅🤠🤟🇬🇧,one kid was on his 3rf shell on a hbx 1/16 /ftx tracer
MJX and HBX cars end up being my favorites. They are unstoppable and for the price you can replace the whole car if something actually does break. Thanks again for the videos Phil.
MJX HYPER GO , wait till you try to take apart for repair , you'll then will wish you hadn't wasted money on the damn thing . Who wants to waste money on an RC that will not come apart properly and easily for repairs , because certain parts are glued together then ultimately are not easily repairable . Also they suffer from an ESC gyro related front wheel twitching issue new out of the box . I'd call it a waste of good money , Better off buying an RC that doesn't have built in inherent issues new out of the box to begin with 🤣 . Personally i prefer to stay away from RC'S that have in some way or form have issues of some sort or other new out of the box 🤣 .
HBX customer service is pretty top notch so far too. Bought 2 16890a Pro, one had a way to smooth diff (broken gear), sent a video, they told me what to take apart, sent a pic, new parts on the way. A+

Considering what you put this car through, it held up well until the last bump. Would definately be a good car to consider for bush bashing and dust mustering in the Australian Landscape. Absolutely appreciate your honest reviews and testing each and every car under brutal conditions. Not many are willing to take their full sized car the slightest bit off road, let alone their rc. Skate park equals destruction, me and mate went to one this morning he had some rear wheel drive 1/10 2 wd truggy first jump landed on roof flattened it, next jump landed on rear motor broke. Was super careful with my typhon, better off doing jumps at bmx track or the woods not super high jumps onto hard concrete.
Have you had any issues with the wheels falling off on an mjx 16208? My sons does it every time he takes it out (only got it for Xmas). I’m waiting for replacement wheel hex pins as we lost one but think I might put loctite on the wheels. Any issues with doing that?
I love how you show the variants as options if you put a little more cash Full of information because if someone sees one. The algorithm would likely show them the others
Was that 23mph on 70% or full power? I have the DEERC H16R version of this car and it's supposed to do 52kph or 32mph on full power. I wonder if the DEERC version has a stronger motor. I have not GPS tested it but it seems way faster than yours.
The little truck looks great and held up very well. There seems to be more and more of good small bashers coming out. I watched another UA-camr with another unknown brand to me. He actually tries to kill the little trucks and it held ip well and it's very cheap. I think reviewers like yourself and others are doing a real service to parents looking for reasonably priced, easy to carry little cars/trucks for the kids and the old kids. This is another very nice review.

My mjx lasted a day of bashing before the steering components were loose and shaky with a ton of slop, my xmaxx has been stock for the 4 months I’ve had it and it’s still going with 0 problems and it’s sent a lot harder than the mjx
Sadly there is no MJX available at a 1000 USD price point. Would be interesting to know what they could put out for that kind of money. I think it's a bit unfair to compare an RC car that's 13 times more expensive to the one in the video.
