Among the abundance of transportation options available for long distance journeys in India is the sleeper bus. Having never taken one before we thought this was the perfect time to try it out and see what it's like to travel 17 hours from the capital of Maharashtra, Mumbai, to the capital of Goa, Panjim.

Every state of india has different vibes it feels like you are in a different country that's india 🇮🇳 for you , you can't judge by visiting 2-3 places

I just wish our govt impose some strict rules to avoid this
Otherwise pollution and dirt will kill our country🥲
Mostly foreigners avoid visiting India becuz of dirt and water that are being sold on streets and all...
I mean they get frightened to eat street foods and all
Becuz they are too clean to be honest and thier immune system is not strong to handle this that's why they avoid and I think govt should think about that

Throwing away domestic wastes on streets, cesspool of sewage in streets are hazardous than what u have mentioned. And using people to sweep shit out of manholes and septic tanks without using simple machineries.

going by train in India is the best thing especially in the South India as the scenery of the countryside there is amazing. it is quicker than bus too. also you are the least complaining western travel vlogger I have seen)

nice video. entire west coast of india from mumbai/southern gujarat to kerala is very green. Its actually more lush than most of SE asia even. NE india too is similar with the greenery and both west coast india and NE india are among the rainiest places in the world. You'll definitely like it if the tropical vibe is your thing, which it seems to be based on your videos. hope you enjoy your trip in india.
Definitely Try a journey on one of the many luxury trains of India. Absolutely amazing experience. Best ways to see some parts of India for those who can afford it.
Next time, You travel Konkan Railway train from Mumbai to Goa during day time.
You will find lush green mountain, valleys, water falls etc along Mumbai-Goa-Mangalore Konkan Railway
Cool FYI: The Jeera drink that you guys tried is more like a masala digestive drink rather than an Indian Coke, not recommended as some Indians also don't like it. And yes, Coca Cola is still there as Coke, or If you wanna try Indian Coke then try 'Thumbs Up' its similar to coke just slightly more fizzy.
Yes. Maharashtra is very big. You travelled only through coastal part of Maharashtra. It was just 4 districts out of 36. States of Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh are even bigger.
Goa and Maharashtra's langauge, cultures are very similar but due to Portuguese rule Goa looks very different. Also it is developed as a tourist place. So it gives totally different vibe.
You missed the beauty of kokan this region situated between the Mumbai and Goa
And famous district in this region is Singhudurg
I am recommend you to Go There
You missed even more beautiful cities along the journey through the Western Ghats 👍
We can’t stop at every city unfortunately as the Indian government refused to give us more than 30 days

It seems that you are going to explore all different modes of transportation in India... You can also explore cruise rides from Goa to Mumbai or lakshadweep also ... You can also rent a 🛵 / motorbike or a car / Jeep in Goa.. it is the best way to explore Goa..

Loving ur vlogs. Plz visit North-East in future, d most beautiful/diverse region of India. It's even more green/tropical than Goa/Kerala etc, u'd truly get SE Asian vibe while being inside India. The naturally stunning region is home 2 diverse indigenous/tribal communities with their unique cultures, languages & cuisines with Indian, Himalayan & lots of SE Asian influences. North-East is truly an unexplored natural/cultural paradise that most tourists miss out on while visiting India.

If you have time, go north in the state of Himachal Pradesh. Mountains and scenic areas are abundant. Down south, you can visit the hillstation Ooty

We actually have sleeper buses too like that one from Manila to Bicol guys (Isarog Bus Lines).
7:04 Indian packets dosen't open like western way 😂 To open Indian packets you have to tear it. Sometimes it has zig zag pattern on both sides those helps to tear the pack easily.

Bus journey is definitely not the smoothest in terms of comfort but man o man , it does have a different meaning and vibe to it . Honestly sometimes I take a long overnight bus than an overnight train just cause well its different than a train , and secondly I wake up early in the morning right at my destination not like on a train station where I have to again take a auto rickshaw to my destination. Loving your india tour vlogs . ❤

It's good that you were travelling when it was raining. Mumbai is not the place to visit during high rains. It's one of the rainiest places in India after north east region.

I have the same problem with the Air conditioning in India going from England. It's too cold especially when it's lovely and warm outside. I prefer warmth than cold of Air conditioning.
You should have chosen Train to see the western Ghats. Now if you are moving down south do choose a train to travel. See if you find Vistadome trains. Enjoy the western ghats

1992…first time visited Mumbai as a student…2 of us took the bus to Goa … BUT it was the standard seating 😂😂..also the road in India are substantially better than what they were 30years back

If you have international driver's license then I'll highly suggest you rent a car as or even a scooter as that's the best way to enjoy goa.

I used air suspension and I liked marcede Benz +bharat Benz buses for travel more than 8-10 hours . This seems okay bus.
Why 17 hours from Mumbai to Goa by road? It takes only 8-9 hours by bus. Might be bus delayed a lot.
In my opinion, India is the most diversified country in the whole world, both geographically and culturally. You'll feel like you are in different country in every different state. And I think that's the best thing about travelling in india.
