We visit stores like Super Potato, Surugaya, Lashing Bang & Meikoya for the most interesting MD Mega Drive / Japanese Genesis games. What can be found? Which are the rarest and most expensive games in the stores here? Which games are cheaper? Any hidden gems? And is it worth collecting for in 2023?

Terminator vs robocop has never had a new release, it was the PAL release also the same with a few others with black spines.

Thank you, Mark :D Glad to hear that haha! However, the timing for buying MD games now is tough. Prices going up and its way harder to find these games compared to SFC.
But Im glad you're diving into it. A lot of gems for the system that shouldn't go unnoticed.

I love when stores don’t update there prices 😊 there’s a retro store I go to that they haven’t updated there older games that been on the walls forever that’s the best.

Haha yea, soon they will have most of the retro games in Japan since HARD OFF, BOOK OFF and many other stores have less games, as times goes by.
Yea I feel the same. But this might be the last chance to get Japanese Mega Drive games now. I predict that they will be very rare in the coming years.

Actually this was the last console based video for now. The coming videos are more about odd stores, hard offs and even Akihabara stores. Some great videos will come, I can promise that! A Mega Drive video around x-mas in winter could come. Just not sure if I will be in Japan by then. We will see. But I will save that thought in the back of my mind. Thanks for watching as always :D

Great video, you have held in your hands for a small moment Aleste CD in the first shop and have passed the fantastic Magical Hat no Buttobi Turbo! Daibouken (the original game where was based the conversion Decap Attack). You are right, there are some beatiful covers like Golden Axe o Rolling Thunder 2

I love all the games you shown us I don’t have a favourite game because I enjoy all the games I play except a space Sega cd game that I showcased on my Sega cad video oh I hated that game lol. What are the Japanese like with recapping consoles? I search on yahoo auctions for consoles for fun quite a lot and haven't seen any advertised as being recapped or anything translated to indicate as much.
You're right. You rarely see that. But then again, Japanese people really take care of their stuff. So I would be surprised if they already expect things to work properly.
I'm glad I picked up a mega drive a month ago.

Great answer! I've been confused if its called Gley Lancer or Grey Lancer haha! I keep seeing "Grey" as well. But I came to the conclusion that "Gley" is the right one. I've only tried it out for a minute. I will definitely dive into that game later. Thanks for the answer.

Thanks for the video. Although you're really off when it comes to the Yen/USD conversion, 1000 yen is not 10 USD but more like 6,8USD.
Well, it was an estimate of the price. And it was also recorded in May, when the conversation rate was way different.

The last store, Surugaya does. They have the best prices so can definitely recommend it!

Im not the best at reading kanji, but from what I understand its region-free and can also play NTSC-U as well as PAL games. Thats why.
