Managed to get to this one so have quite a few opinions!! I though Shepherd played really well and he showed a lot of passion as he booted the ball away at half time. I think a lot of players weren’t bad but just too anonymous. Some nice attacks down the left with Wright and Richards in the second half but could never get it near the box. I blame Alexander because it should be his job to motivate the players and starting slowly has been a common thing over the Alexander era. Still, I’m not calling for his head. I like the blue or red milk from Tescos. Have to win against Morcambe 🐓🐓🐓
One big problem is how poor we are off the ball. Check the amount of second balls they won, just like Walsall did. And then at the end when Smallwood was looking for a forward pass, or to someone in a good attacking position in space. He threw his hands up in the air to say movement please, then had no choice but to turn around and play a firm ball back, I mention it being a firm ball back because the pass it’s self said ffs. And playing players like Halliday and Smallwood is most likely down to Sparks wanting to win that cup so he can put it on this CV. So naturally we need to play a stronger side. So if Smallwood or any key players get injured in that, or are fatigued just remember it’s all in a good cause. 😂
I saw the gave live on tv and I couldn’t believe how poor city were it was like u11 playing all over place not interested at all giving ball away but u have to blame the manager for performance
