    TY TY TY!!! This post made putting the Thule bike carrier/rack together so easy. The instructions from Thule are horrible/a joke. They should pay you for posting this and helping their customers. BRAVO!!!

    Just installed my Thule T2 Pro XT in 1 hour thanks to this You Tube Video. The instructions that come with the carrier have a lot to be desired as far as understanding how to assemble it. Thank you so much for going thru the install easily.

    The Instruction book lacks both text and clear illustrations. Your video just saved my husband and me about an hour of second guessing! Thank you very much!

    Thanks for that! The instructions were mostly useless so you saved me A LOT of time.

    This video was so helpful to us! Thank you so much! We seriously had a difficult time making out the instructions that came with the rack itself and things only made sense after we watched this video.

      It's amusing because when I made the video I never thought it would be so helpful. But you're right. Those printed instructions are not very good. Thule should consider including an assembly DVD in the package. Thanks for the comment. -Dennis

    Just managed to get hold of one of these in the UK, shipped across from US for my Wrangler. MASSIVE thanks for the video...from the instructions I'd have had no chance! This made it a breeze. And the rack itself...AWESOME!

      Congratulations on your purchase and successful assembly of the rack. I'm glad to know the video was useful. Thanks for letting me know. -Dennis

    I spent more time than I should have trying to force the key tumbler in the socket. Lo and behold you know the secret! Use the magical 3rd key! While you made it very clear (and I am appreciative), Thule sure did not with their instructions. Thank you.

    Awesome. I would not have been able to assemble this thing without your video. I got stuck immediately with the “Universal Key” malarkey.
    Thanks again... I am up and running!

    Thanks so much for posting this--the instructions that come with this bike rack are utterly useless. Thank goodness someone took the time to show each step for the rest of us!

    Thank you sooo much for this assembly video! I just finished installing this rack on my 4Runner and absolutely love the quality build and thoughtful functionality! Your video made my life so much easier...and the hours you saved me means more hours enjoying our ride by the beach this Memorial Day in CA!

    Very much appreciated your assembly video of the Thule rack. I bought the same one (from Amazon) and it showed up in about the same shape as yours. I used your video step by step to install. Without your help it would have taken me much longer and I may not have been able to get it done. Thanks for posting the video.

    Thanks for great assembly demo! It will smooth out my tomorrow morning.
    FYI: The Thule EasyFold XT 2 is made for E-bikes. It has a higher weight capacity, and a "ramp-like" design to help get heavy bikes on. It costs more, of course, but it would help with the heavy lifting. I saw it while shopping for this one, and it looks nice.

      Thanks. I'm not as competent as I used to be. I edited out the times I dropped the tools or the bolts on the ground. I used to repair typewriters many decades ago. I at least know how to use an Allen wrench. Thanks again. -Dennis

    Very impressive, well-designed contraption! Also found the video production amazingly high quality given all the steps, camera angles, descriptive dialogue, etc. You continue to wow your “fans” with your vast knowledge - well-done!

    • @MyKitchenVlog

      Thanks Nancy. The video could, should, have been better, but I didn't have the room to position the camera where it needed to be, and if I did the assembly on the street in front of my home where there was more room, there would have been bystanders telling me what to do. This won't be a popular video, but it will grow slowly because there are people looking for information about that bike carrier. I'm okay with it. Thanks again. -Dennis

    How is the long term reliability of this rack. Thank you !

    • @MyKitchenVlog
      @MyKitchenVlog  5 років тому +2

      I'm still using it and I haven't seen any problems so far. I don't use it often. When not in use, I hang it on large hooks in my shed. I mostly ride locally, but when I want to do a ride away from home it's easy to carry my bike to the destination on the back of my SUV. Thanks for the question. -Dennis

    Nice video. I also have an electric bike - can the rack carry two electric bikes i.e., weight limit? They are much heavier than ordinary bikes of course

    • @MyKitchenVlog
      @MyKitchenVlog  6 років тому

      Hi John. Thanks for the feedback. If I remember correctly, the carrier has a max weight limit of 120 pounds / 60 pounds per bike. I didn't concern myself with it because I planned on only one bike, and mine is just over 60 pounds.

    Thanks for sharing. Question, how durable does that plastic front wheel holder appear to be?

    • @MyKitchenVlog
      @MyKitchenVlog  6 років тому +1

      I can't give you a good answer because I only used the carrier one time, so far. I will say that the front wheel plastic holder doesn't do much. The locking front arm and the real wheel securing device do most of the work. The steel frame holds up the bike. I don't see any reason why this carrier wouldn't remain solid for many years if used properly. Also, Thule has a good reputation for quality. I hope that helps. -Dennis

      My Kitchen Vlog ASMR, yes. Thanks for responding and so quickly. I looked at their site for one for my 1995 Buick Century. They don't have one😏 but I will do as you and go to a bike store to see what they recommend. They can also help me with either rebuilding the bike i have or suggest a new one. I am determined to lose 100lbs in the next two years.(really want it gone in a year but lets be realistic) I have adopted your new years resolution to use what's in freezer before buying more food. My husband found a really good deal on ground beef but couldn't buy it for there wasn't room in freezer. I have also put into action your minute meals. Thanks. Hope you continue your good work. Do you have an email address that you are willing to share?

    Doesn't look too difficult at all. I will know by the end of the day. However, I did notice that the front wheel cage was put on the rack backward in this video. You want the closed end facing out.

    • @leeg5219
      @leeg5219 6 років тому

      I just watched this video, and had the instructions that came along with the bike rack. The photo of the assembled rack shows the closed end facing inward, not out...

    Bought mine and after getting the first rack all assembled on the main frame and then getting the second bolted on found that the second rack didn’t have the holes drilled in the bar to put the front tire basket on. Weird and very frustrating. So will have to take back and return for another and try again I guess. Wonder if that’s happened to anyone else

    Wow!. It looks like the UPS driver drove back & forth over the box a few times. Good grief. Glad you were able to find it locally instead.

    • @MyKitchenVlog
      @MyKitchenVlog  6 років тому

      I've been telling friends it looks the box fell out the back of the truck and a few cars drover over it before the UPS driver recovered it and taped it up too like it might be deliverable. Buying it locally was even better because the people were really helpful. Thanks for commenting Mea. -Dennis

    • @MyKitchenVlog

      That's so true. It's the reason I did this video. It's easy to assemble if someone shows how to do it rather than rely on those instructions. Thanks for the comment. -Dennis
