Idk why I can watch these videos in bed and memorize everything after watching it once! Even at like 2 pm I can still remember how to do it from one watch
Oh wow. I was literally doing this "by hand" using the particle system. And then I've found out it has a trail module and I was look for how to set that up. And then I've found this video and the Trail Renderer. Heck, this is much easier than I thought
This was pretty cool, a neat trick with it is to make it a child to a gameobject that is only a light source, have the object trail the mouse and just give it a higher y 0.5f was good enough for me. You get a heavy light glimmer if you have the light source and it close together... though it may have been the material of what I was using.
Even having used unity for a while, even already knowing how to do the thing that you're demoing, I still pick up something new from you every time. Today it was that you can change the scale of curves like at 1:28. Who knew? Not me!
Hello, this is the type of trail that i want on my game, but the problem is that my player only move vertically and the scenario move horizontally, which causes the trail renderer to only make a trail vertically; how can i achieve the same style of trail on this type of game?
unfortunately I dont get it to work however I want it to be. I'd like to have it to create a long trail, but the second the object stops the trail snaps really fast back into the object. tried the different values but never got the result i wanted. Either the trail is long but just stays long or it is short and fast snaps back to the object when it stops. Any suggestion?
