when you are coding a fob by pressing a button 8 to 16 times it clicks a relay, what does the relay do if it's connected to the Landrover at the time? does it make a noise or flash indicators or something?
I have an issue with a 2000defender td5. My Google searches indicate it is the immobilizer - is the 10as just an alarm or does it also have the immobilizer in it.? If the immobiliser is not in the 10as where is it please?
Excellent! The only other programmer I have seen costs about £500! Just ordered my Fob Fix. Just received my Fob Fix & programmed both my fobs in about 1 minute! I was quoted £70 by a mobile specialist to program my new fob, so this has cost a bit more but I can add new fobs whenever I choose (+ the DIY option feels good!).
It will work with any vehicle that has a 10AS alarm ECU connected to either pin 7 or 8 of the OBD port. In reality that means Defender, Discovery and early Freelander. It will also work on some MG vehicle.
I just received mine and the fob. Within a few minutes my fobs were back coded to the vehicle and one spare. Thanks so much :) so relieved!

Unfortunately not. The earlier 5AS uses a completely different diagnostic protocol.

Yes it will program directly to a 10AS alarm unit.
We have never tested the unit in an active alarm situation.

No. It only supports old style 10AS units upto 2012
