    Hi Glynn,
    Great vid as always, one quick question, I use CS5 and I don't seem to have the brush you used. Any ideas where I can get it? Thank you.

    To everyone looking for the brush, it is right after the Charcoal Pencil brush. It's name is Per Stroke Brightness Variance. Make sure to load Legacy Brushes.

    Far out! I like the reverse layer mask on the hooves. I have just recently discovered the amazing control these give. I have used the 'Grass" brush that comes in Photoshop, set fairly small, wide Spacing, small Scatter Count, with a very small Angle Jitter. (Grass doesn't grow upside down! LOL) I also turn off the Color feature, if on. It doesn't bide well with masks. This has worked wonders! But, I will try your method! I love learning new ways to do things in PS!
    Thank you!

    Nice tutorial Glyn, especially the smoke brush. A question, for the hooves, why don't you convert the cut out of the rino into a smart object? Then it can have it's own mask, so you don't need to copy part of the background on top to 'see through', but can use the rino layer itsef. That an idea?

    • @glyndewis
      @glyndewis  10 років тому +2

      I like your thinking there Peter van Dijck but using a mask to hide parts of the rhino and so reveal the ground would affect how the layer containing the shadow would look around the hooves....if that makes sense
