- The Less is More Tour rolls through Chicago on my way to Millheim PA to play Elk Creek Cafe with the Tritsch Bros. I've traveled by @amtrak train for this whole tour (ROC-KCY-LAX-ANA-SJC-EUG-PDX-SEA-CHI-LEW) and I'll definitely do it again. I dare say it's the best way for a solo musician to travel. If you'd like, I can share what I've learned about how to do it well?
I got this tune from a Rich Hartness recording who learned it from Uncle Charlie Osborne. I may linger on the IVs and Vs in the B part and never really return to the One, but I like the way that sounds. It is usually a D tune. However I am tuned in G (gDGBD) here because when I recorded it for 'Banjo Jubilations', I was playing a banjo tuned down to D, but strung like G, if you know what I mean. I can post a version in D (or C) tuning if you'd like, it might be a bit more challenging.

Lovely tune, and glad to hear Amtrak get a shout out! It's both a mode of travel and a destination in itself, because you meet new people and get to really enjoy the scenery.

I’ve been looking for this tune since the night you played it on stage in Ithaca this past January. I’ve never seen a tune generate so many smiles in a crowd . Post that D version after you get back home and recover a bit.

you always make me happy when hearing and watching you play and this tune hasn't disappointed. Thank you. One to try and learn one day.
