  • Replace your broken Yard Max YG1550 rear wheel with the Yard Force 11 inch wheel. These two brands appear to be made by the same manufacturer and have similar parts.

I had a broken wheel saga myself. I tried to repair the wheel with epoxy. It lasted approximately one mow before breaking again. Like you, unable to locate parts diagrams for Yardmax etc. A google search lead me to your video. I've placed an order with the link you provided. I should have the wheel in a few days. Thank you!

Wow thanks! I was looking at self propelled, but this mower has such crummy reviews! 2nd year I'd hope it still works! After looking at zillion mowers now, the reviews make me think we are in "Chavez" world when he had tractors manufactured for the farmers & ditched availability of good brands like John Deere etc. The new "Chavez" tractors 🚜were shiny & beautiful & inexpensive! A year later they were abandoned broken down falling apart in farmer's fields all over Venezuela! 😐

That is very interesting!! So far this season, with the newer wheels and the new lower handle that I put on, all is going well. Thanks for watching, JL.

Lemme tell ya something. STAY AWAY FROM ANYTHING CALLED YARDMAX! Chinese junk! I bought a ‘22 around 5-15-23 and used it only about 5-6 times. It is made with extremely cheap components. The plastic knobs for closing and locking the handle broke off. The height adjustment broke off. The front wheel broke as I was using it and the axle came out off place (got cheap replacement at Lowes $15). The plastic for the undercarriage cracked in two requiring its complete removal. That cover the belt and pulleys for the self propel assembly. Needles to say, that can no longer by used. Surprising no engine issues (yet) and it will cut serious grass-provided you have patching up skills. THIS POS IS CHEAP FOR A REASON AND YOU WILL GET WHAT YOU PAID FOR!

You didn’t actually show how to replace the wheel. So this clip is useless!!!!!!

You are correct, my apologies. You will need to use a 15mm socket to remove the wheel nut to take off what is left of the stock wheel. Your new wheel should go right on, you will need to lift the mower as you install or have it set on a couple 2x4s. If you are replacing it with a Yard Force wheel as I did, there will be less thread for the wheel nut to attach to the shaft. Just keep an eye on that for your first few mowings, after which time they should stay on pretty well. Thanks for watching, JL.
