They were originally called "Godzilla" but because of copyright they changed to "Gojira", which is the Japanese word for Godzilla
Gojora is a heavy prog metal frensh band, has a Japanese name , singing in english for all the world

Anyways, I know you guys like a live performance being a band yourself - can I please recommend Gojira's "Where dragons dwell" live at hellfest (2013) - it gives a great example of what seeing Gojira live is all about!
It's off the album From Mars To Sirius and is by far(!) my favourite ever album, a concept album masterpiece (they are keen environmentalists).
