Elly is awesome to watch
Love jimmy getting the recognition he deserves
If you speak the name Ricky Henderson, you must also mention Vince Coleman the star of the cardinals in the 80s.
He has real problems with chasing low and in when he has two strikes. If he can manage that, improve his discipline, start going opposite field, and realize that when he walks with no one on base that’s technically a double, then he could put ungodly numbers. If he can get his batting average above .275 and his obp above .380, he could be one of the best players in the league
He’s definitely showed improvement, he still is super young and can figure it all out. He worked with Juan Soto in the offseason with that.
Living in REDS Country, my sons and I have been Loyal AND suffering Fans for years! My oldest son really got excited about Billy Hamilton and his speed on the bases and out in centerfield but it was a roll of the dice when he was batting too as he was not very good. My youngest son has the same passion for Elly! I believe Elly will learn to be a bit more patient at the plate, but he is so amped to be playing that it seems to come through loud and clear every time he hits the field! If history is any indicator, REDS FANS better enjoy him now because when it's time to pay him, The Reds Front Office will never find that crow bar to open up their bank!

Elly is an absolute blast to watch but be prepared, Rece Hinds is coming too!
Elly has to get better. He leads the majors in batter strikeouts and fielding errors as a shortstop. Yet he gets selected as an all-star. Go figure. No wonder baseball is no longer baseball as was it was created.
17 homers and .250 avg, great Barrell rate. I agree but it will get better
