The part when Doom says No is the best, and when they showed the name Doomguy, not Doomslayer like everyone called him show a symbolic meaning: after all those years finally, Doom is himself again, say a word like a human, and reveal his face again, not hiding in helmets anymore.

It's crazy to think how this guy was literally once just a marine that got punished for assaulting a commander that was out of line. This punishment was basically going to Phobos which in his timeline was like being demoted to cleaning staff. But it was right time, right place for him, wrong place, wrong time for the demons. Like spiderman in the o.g comic, it's a case of extreme luck (or unluck depends how you look at it) that he just so happened to survive only to return to earth in his timeline that was also destroyed by demons and enraged him starting his journey to eventually getting his powers. And you realise coz he was blessed with the fathers power, when he killed davoth he was weakened to sleep coz he has those powers. So crazy as this sounds, i wonder if in the doom sequel if they ever get to make it, you actually decide to get rid of your powers just to face the father. And then shows the raw power of the doomguy even without powers. Think about it even if this doesnt happen, before he ever got blessed, he still was amazingly strong and powerful. He took on the armies of hell alone (the events of doom 93 all the way to 64)
