I'm 48, and my riding progression is very similar, just in mountains instead. Started with a Kitty Cat, in 1978. Yamaha enticer 300 in 1981, first full size sled. 1984 phazer, in 1986. Then stopped riding Mom, and dads sleds starting in with the 1998 mountain SRX, to a 2000 mountain max, was my last Yamaha. Then Arctic Cat M series, on to the Polaris Pro Rmk, then Axys Rmk.
I don’t think people realize how hard mountain riding can be, physically challenging. We have experimented in Colorado with rentals😮 high elevation takes some getting used to. #thefatdad
@@Urbansnowmobiler : It's definitely allot more physical, and requires more skill than banging corners on logging roads. But that's where I started, as mountain riding techniques learned later, didn't exist yet. Because the mountain sleds didn't exist yet. I never considered riding like we do now, on a phazer, in the 80's. We were just discovering side hilling, but only on the throttle, and not very steep, or deep. Wasn't until the M series, that I figured out how to get on edge downhill, without track spin. It's been amazing watching technology change how we ride, and what we can access.
My parents live in between Alanson and Indian River Michigan lower UP. I’m riding with a group of guys from Bergland to Copper Harbor on January 18th -21st if your in that area message me on FB.
I have the same sled... nice video thx. not much snow in Bobcaygeon Ontario either. another late season, what size riser did ya go with 2.5" ? checking out the cfr page now. I think I'd like maybe a 3" riser, I'm 6'1" 220lbs. Have not really put to much thought Ito yet pretty sure I will have enough cable slack to just go with a 3" .... I did put in heavier rear springs. I'm fortunate enough to have accelerated technologies in my area, great suspension company. cheers in advance
Riser is 3” I have a 4” to but 3” was perfect for me I think stock is 2.5”. I’m 6ft’ tall have long arms. If you stand allot 4” would be my choice then.
Hey have same sled what paint did you use to paint vents on hood? I painted vents above boot area. But it’s not the red that matches our red vent inserts. I’d love to show you this sled and the one coming
Nice neat shop
Your not alone my flatland friend! We don't have hardly any snow here in the Cascades of Washington either. Damn El Nino!
I’ve been here sense 30 subs. Once you’re a celebrity remember me!
Nice work Tim. 👍

I'm in Canada tried to get DuPont slider for my Polaris but could not find them only get for Yamaha up here
Check your dealer they can sell them direct now.
Don't get caught in wisconsin with an 10:22 aftermarket muffler. It is illegal. From experience.
I have the 23 xcr 128, I’d love to mod it but I feel like I better wait until the warranty is up, interested to see how yours works
Well I’ll do a follow up hope to be sledding next weekend

Crashed a few sleds too
Let’s keep that a secret …lol😂
I like the extreme max studs from Spankys in Mich also. Good lookin after years of riding.
What cna skis are those?
XPT’s in a custom color blend. The only C & A skis I like, the others are a little too much arm pump for me.
