Extreme turbulent landing into Manchester Airport, England. EasyJet A320 from Hamburg arriving into a wet and windy Manchester Airport in October 2018!
I’m ex cabin crew for easyjet and loved working for them. I had to give up in the end as my ears were damaged, however this is not severe turbulence! This would be categorised as mild. It feels horrible for passengers admittedly, but trust me - when you experience severe turbulence, you know all about it!
I was on a Delta flight from Atlanta to Fort Lauderdale (we originated in Baltimore.) We were delayed several times at BWI because of storms there in Baltimore and and Atlanta. Now ATL is their hub, so there were quite a few flights going to ATL that afternoon/evening, but the weather on the east coast that night delayed everything, so they were all sitting at the gates at the same time waiting to depart. So after speaking to the desk and going through all of the flights to ATL, I finally got them to put us a small Canadair regional jet to ATL that was about to taxi into line. After sitting on the runway in the tiny regional jet for about two and a half hours, we finally took off and got to ATL with no problem. Next we took off from ATL to Fort Lauderdale. We fell asleep and woke up 3 hours later and realized we had been circling around fort Lauderdale for hours because of storms. We were finally so low on fuel we had to land in the middle of a thunderstorm. That was the worst turbulence I've ever experienced. The plane was bouncing up and down dropping tens of feet at a time. Pitching hard to the right and left. Shaking. Stuff was flying everywhere in the cabin and was all over the floor. Lightning was striking all around us when we landed. It was terrifying. That's the only time I've ever been scared on a plane. And even though it wasn't like we were crashing or anything l, it was still considered an "emergency landing" because of the fuel situation and the active thunderstorm near the runways. So after being breifed over the PA, we had to do the whole "brace brace brace" thing when we were coming in. When we finally got to the runway The landing was quite smooth considering all of the weather we went through. Great pilots and crew on that flight 😁😁😁.
Very few times have I been in a plane or seen a video of one where the landing has been so smooth you can't hear or barely feel the wheels touching the ground. Phenomenal piloting skills.
Same as my landing in Skavsta today at 7:15 with a wizzair A320-200 There was pretty big wind and when the autopilot was deactivated the plane started to rock heavily but the landing was good I almost didn't feel it And this landing shown in the video looked very similar to what I saw looking out the window And literally no one clapped
We flew with easyJet a about a week ago back from Tenerife into Luton, 45mph crosswinds battered the aircraft on approach and we dropped about 120ft due to turbulence maybe half a mile from the airport. Landing was almost identical to this video, absolutely buttered the landing but just as we were above runway, the plane verged to the left like in this vide
With my luck I'd be sitting next to someone who'd start screaming about the wing "breaking apart" when the speed brakes deployed. *"I CAN SEE RIGHT THROUGH IT AAAAAAA!!!"*
What year did Airbus start using the newer blended winglets on A320's? I know they are standard issue on the Neo's, but I don't think this was a Neo model.
Whenever I’m on a plane that’s experiencing severe turbulence I like to scream “oh my God we’re all gonna die“ and then sit back and watch people freak the fuck out😂😂😂
@@jennybroad1763 Yeah I remember there was something in the news about 10 years ago warning that turbulence was only going to get worse in the years ahead due to climate change. As a frequent flyer I can attest to that LOL.
Lol, I came back in to Gatwick a few years ago early one morning and it was 10 times worse than that. I ve never seen so many passengers throwing up. It was so bad we had to abort the first landing.
I was on a flight from Dallas to Newark once and the turbulence was so bad flying in to New Jersey that I thought it was the end. There seemed no way the pilot would be able to land the plane the way it was rocking up and down, twisting left and right, and moving all over the sky, yet the landing was one of the smoothest I’ve ever experienced.
They dont bc ther r brits so they know its regular in Manc.. I have flown to there many times always like this.. I dont rmb stable landing or take off always hard turbulence

Moderate at best. Extreme would prompt a go around. Severe would prompt a diversion. People perceive things in which they do not understand. Take someone used to driving 30 MPH and put them onto a freeway going 60/70. It'd feel like a rocket ship. For those who drive 70 it's nothing.
PAH! what is wrong with people posting these videos? Anyone but anyone knows the rotating gimble lock, connected to the inverse sliding flange will take care of these situations...
There is absolutely NO turbulence. You only consider it turbulence at cruising altitude when you encounter choppy air. It is misleading and ignorant to call the perfectly normal shakes when ascending during take offs or decending through clouds during landing......it is foolish to call that turbulence.
TURBULENCE: Violent or unsteady movement of air or water, or of some other fluid. One simple search son of a bitch just to make you look like the clown you are. Shut up
You need to learn the definition of turbulence. It doesn’t have to involve a plane (as it does in this case) and it certainly can take place without being at cruising altitude. And the definition of ignorant is “lacking knowledge or awareness in general; uneducated”. I think that fits you more than the person who posted the video.
@@Trouble-Clef O ye of little common sense. I don't need to learn the meaning of turbulence. I already APPLIED the meaning to the CONTEXT it is being used here......AIRPLANE turbulence. And I repeat that anyone with knowledge of flying.....pilots, flight crew.......use TURBULENCE to mean the shaking of the airplane at cruising altitude due to choppy air and is often unexpected (clear air turbulence). It is NEVER used to describe the bumpy shaking during take off or landing, as this is expected and explained by the airline ascending or descending through cloud layers, ASK ANY PILOT. But you have to have SENSE to understand that.

If you ever fly over Japan or somewhere like that, that is turbulence, i was on a plane once, with turbulence for three hours, very unpleaseant

Well, the A320 kind of smoothens itself out in turbulence as much as it can.

a well done job to the pilot! thankfully another safe landing 👏👏

that is a very impressive landing!
Good turbulent landing
What's that smoke coming out of the wings at the end??
looks like rain bossman, no smoke
This is not extreme cause every landing into Manchester is like this
It just Manchester. Every landing experiences a bump here and there. This was nothing out of the ordinary and looked fairly smooth
Just the same at Bristol
Pilot def earned their keep
Me: waiting to hear the sound of touch down
* spoilers go up *

Ryanair: that’s not how you land a plane
how many people died?

Very Nice video
a little choppy on approach!

That is nothing, especially for Manchester.
The only thing grim about it is the scenery on touchdown
Yo creo que esa turbulencia es provocada por otros aviones que acaban de aterrizar.
Lots of fun!
Extreme? Nothing compared February 2022
The plane once landed. Gg ez
Not even close to "extreme" turbulence. More like "moderate".
Hate that clapping nonsense!! It's what they're trained to do and that was probably a walk in the park for them..... arguably insulting to the pilots.

That touch down was exceptionally smooth given that the plane rocked pretty good as it came into the airfield. Very well executed by the pilots.
