Rayman ROTD: Eye Saccades

"Saccades -- rapid, ballistic movements of the eyes that abruptly change the point of fixation." More quick dynamic animation stuff. Once I have more objects in the world, I'll give him actual focus points to flick between - right now it's (pretty) random.

I’m happy this game is still being worked on I remember as a kid looking back at the early vids and was amazed but I forgot to subscribe at the time so I forgot about it and I desperately looked for it after remembering it and i thought the game was canceled but I’m glad it isn’t and I’m going to make sure I subbed this time.

It would be interesting if the frequency were upped based on the situation/level, or how much activity he's performing himself, so that he would seem more relaxed if there isn't much going on. Are you planning to do anything like that?

Yep, precisely! It doesn't affect his eyes yet, but notice how he's breathing faster at 0:13 versus 0:00.

I suppose you used Unity Shader Graph to create the outlining and cartoon shading? Is the model UV wrapped with flat colors? Looking neat.

It's Hoeloe's AniCel shader, and Rayman's whole body usez one 4K texture that are mostly flat colours with some gradients. I still haven't messed with the shader graph yet.
