- A Classic Jim & Tammy Show. Jim and Tammy Faye host the show from the beach of The Water Park. It's a great time to see the progress of Heritage USA. Tammy Faye sings "Don't Give Up" while the cameras pan over The Water Park. Jim talks to a contractor responsible for working on the park. Howard & Vestal Goodman sings "He Keeps Lifting Us Higher". Jim and Tammy Faye chats with Danuta of The 700 Club & her husband Kai Soderman. Then the PTL Singers sing "The Army of the Lord".

I’ll never forget.. my great aunt, in the height of all this “send us your money” TV preacher craze, sent thousands to these people. Her daughter was balancing her mom’s check book one day and about blew a gasket! She told her mom “if you want to give money to a church, give it to your HOME CHURCH! They are the ones who need the help paying bills and helping the community, not these millionaire scammers!” I can proudly say that I have never given a dime of my money to a TV preacher. It has always gone to my little country Baptist church.
Amen. A lot of people would group all churches together after such a tragedy. It’s great to hear the discernment. May God bless.

Heritage Island was so beautiful. It certainly looked much better than the community of townhomes that replaced it.
It sure was. It's a shame what they did to Heritage USA. The Water Park was the state-of-the-art back in the day. After 3 years of construction and millions of dollars, it was one of a kind.
It looks so strange to see Heritage Tower without all 21-floors after being used to it standing so tall for all of these decades.
I agree! Each floor seemed to go up very quickly. I'm sure Jim wanted it that way.

I have read the negative comments. Notwithstanding, my wife and I purchased two lifetime memberships. In hindsight, the cost was just too good, at the time. We are not angry; just sad. But, I must say that this prosperity gospel stuff that really got into high gear, thereafter, is not good. We learned our lesson; and have remained far a way from this prosperity stuff.
My mother said that my aunt bought into all of this and bought her adult children "memberships", there were not enough days in the year for all the people who payed to stay there.
Biggest con ever run in the Bible Belt. And he's out of prison and right back at it again. Praise the lord and pass the hat...prosperity gospel..."all for me and none for thee".

What started out as a prmising dream, ened as a tragic nightmare!
Bakker got carried away but I believe the intentions were good. Kind of ridiculous the sentence he got for simply over promising these units. He got treated more severely because he was a Christian.

Did Jerry Falwell have anything to do with Heritage closing? Such a shame. Could have been a great place of Christian entertainment and place of worship / preaching etc. Just too sad. Disappointed
