Cima Cercen couloirs - Dolimites (ski mountaineering)

Some fresh snow over night called for new adventure. The main plan was to summit Cima Cercen (3280 m) and ski Nord couloir/line.
Ascending over big glacier moraine to the bottom of the line. Here we get a better look of our goal. Weather is sunny and most of the line is under huge cornices on the summit ridge. Under the line there are big chuncks of some old cornice collapses. So in the sun it is no go. We change the direction to the next couloir. This went even further than we thought - to the glacier "Vedretta Presanella". Skiing down was great. Sun went away and also snow stopped falling. We give Cima Cercen another try. Soon after start of bootpack we found unfavourable snow layering (stability problems deep in snowpack). So we turned around and skied some powder bellow line.
We had in mind another couloir spoted during ascends. We were ascending again to the edge of glacier "Vedretta Presanella". Windy on top with great views of big glacier and surrounding mountains. Descend above expectations, powder on upper parts and than spring skiing to the Tonale beach😊
