I know you guys sometimes hate these calendars, but this is the only happy constant I have during the holidays every year. Thank you for your videos. 💖

Punishment calendar honestly is more fun than both of Dan's combined
I'm getting worried that much like the cheese calendar permanently damaged Dan's ability to enjoy dairy, this one might permanently impact his enjoyment of Only Fools and Horses.
Not just that, but a lot of Dan-isms are based on only fools. This calendar might be so shit it fundamentally changes who he is as a person.
Gotta love how Dan has adopted the puzzle calendar and his two originals have become the punishment
I'm not sure why Dan is so pissed, even though he only has one calendar against Stuart's two, it's a nice puzzle calendar, a well deserved break after all of the tat calendars he usually buys for himself.
I love how these are getting quicker everyday as Dan no longer tries to win or defend his calendars shite offerings. Just accepting his inevitable demise. And no Dan nothing is still better than the OFAH calendar.
They weren't kidding when they said "army men", by the end Stuart will have enough plastic men to make an army.
He's gonna need them to try to fight off the Grass Masks. Though it's clearly Barbie who will save us all....... Right?

I'm still impressed by the soldier set, I think that would actually keep kids happy for the price. That Barbie one is literally the company throwing in things from different franchises, that 25 bucks could have gone to a high end doll. Only thing worse than that Only Fools calendar is the one put out for the Fallout games.
Considering Bethesda sold a helmet that gets moldy for Fallout 76, I can't imagine what kind of poisons and plagues a Fallout Advent Calendar would bring.
The crimes done to the metal puzzles has my gritting my teeth :D
My favourite part is that around half the solves have just been applied bruteforce mixed with slight problem solving. Who needs to understand topology when you can just stretch things a little?
I’ve been keeping up with this series on and off for the past 8 years and I always look forward to the episode that comes out on the 19th because it always feels like a nice birthday present for me. Thanks to both of you for all the laugh over the years.

Never ceases to amaze me the dedication to continuity. Not just the shirts as we have noticed on previous days but to even make sure to meet at 5:30 everyday for our viewing benefit.

Stuart's calendars is full of fun and science and Dan's is just regret, misery and stickers. At least he has his puzzles to keep him entertained
These vides are getting shorter and shorter. It'll be 30 seconds of Dan crying and then Stuart showing a cool army man by day 24.

0:24 Dan really should've went for the 2023 Thomas Minis calendar (as it is by far one of the better ones) but instead, due to the Barbenheimer status, went with a numberless and tacky Barbie one instead.

I love how Dan solves the puzzle in one second by twisting the ring and then proceeds to take it off the hard way because he doesn't realize that he has already solved it.
I like the idea of the the tie being decided over a timed puzzle, but the minute should start when Dan opens the door, rather than when he already has it in his hands

At least a sticker with an actual OFAH illustration is more interesting than a sticker with generic clipart? fyi the actual experiment for the Woozle Goozle calendar today was to use the magnifying glass on a TV screen to see how the image is made up of pixels. Not a bad idea, and the magnifying glass is a fun gift in general.
Today my fancy German chocolate calendar gave me a ball of chocolate filled with chocolate toffee again. It's not bad, but the taste is just too similar to the chocolate in the ball.
The strap is so it's easier to hurl into the garbage.

So I looked up the OFaH calendar and it really is just three magnet "figures" and everything else is just a flap or stickers. For £25. Best bit, though: the listing advertises that it's "reusable". So you put everything back in the doors for next year.
It might just mean you can use the scene as a Christmas thing each year, rather than reusing it as an advent calendar again.

Stickers are bad enough by default but the fact that there are duplicates makes it so much worse.

These calendars made whatever poor ol' Cubedan has done all year go down the drain. He will exit the year like a sodding loser. Poor guy. And Stew can just gloat like a pissing champion with all his posh champagne and young perky supermodel groupies for weeks to come.
The problem with Dan's calendars is that they went all in on one amazing high value gimmick , like a actual barbie doll or a box that plays music. If you opened them up all at once they would be more or less the same quality as Stuart's canlanders which were consistantly reasonable, but not amazing.

Oh thank god, so out of my day one prediction, I just now need a bar magnet and I'll be happy. Got Litmus Paper on day 2, and finally day 19 we get the magnifying glass. Unless they consider the bar magnet to be a PREMIUM ITEM, and thus a Day 24, I just don't think we'll be getting it in this calendar, might be too premium. Can't imagine a ceramic magnet being expensive.
Yeah I would have said that spinning it through the tightly wound end was not intended, and the real solution is more complex. But whatever, Stu already won anyway. Let Dan have his draw.

Also, the Fools & Horses should be ashamed to cost £25. The most valuable thing it has is the theme tune bit that isn't even part of the actual advent.
The military men and puzzle calendars are legit pretty nice calendars to get imo compared to crapshow barbie, german science baubles, and a sitcoms attempt to fleece its fans.

As an American while I can't feel the frustration of a bad calendar based on a beloved TV show I am becoming progressively more irritated by the overly sitcomy catchphrases I've been learning about throughout this series.
Oh man... this calendar is going to kill all the little Dan-isms I've come to love over the years that I didn't know were from only horses. I really hope this doesn't change Dan negatively like the cheese did.
