100% agree. Thats why I loved this Spiderman. I was basically Peter Parker in real life so every time he embarrassed himself it was very relatable. The greatest Spiderman in my opinion.
I was exteremly happy watching this scene as a 8 year old kid. The CD was broken and the same scene was repeated every time I started it. It sticks me even today how i felt watching this scene as 24 years old now. Sunshine, happines, all glory, the world was just fine while i'm watching spider-man...
Honestly even as a 9 year old kid, I was genuinely happy for Peter, and it was much needed breath of fresh air from the soul crushing circumstances Peter was going through
At the end of this scene, the film apparently freeze frames and many viewers believed it was done by the filmmakers. In fact, to achieve maximum cheesiness, Tobey Maguire improvised the scene by physically stopping the flow of time for a few seconds, a testament to the actor's brilliance.
That's because the MCU Spider-Man movies aren't relatable, like Peter Parker has all to those rich, cool high tech gadgets. But after watching No Way Home, I have high expectations for the next MCU Spider-Man Trilogy.
I can definitely relate to him, I was struggling for balance in my life. Now I get my life together and I am doing just fine. The best Peter Parker and Spider-Man of all time.

@@bongibot1104 to be fair the reason why MOM seemed mid was because of the reshoots and it being tied in with the MCU and Disney really dialed the content back to make it more kid friendly. I’m sure if Raimi made a Dr. Strange that wasn’t connected to the MCU and made how he wanted it, it would have been better.
It's impossible to describe how I love this scene. Peter Parker is such a relatable character. Everyone can relate to Peter Parker. At least, I do. I am a 21yo university student who struggles to make time for everything (school, work, friends). I am an introvert (so I barely have any friends) and I'm still single. I thought my life was finally on the right track not so long ago. I had good grades, I had a new friend (who had a lot in common with me), etc. I hadn't felt that good in years. But then, all of a sudden, my friend stopped replying to me, as if I had never existed. And I am back to square one. I feel so sad, like, I feel as if nothing ever works out for me and that I am not allowed to be happy. This funnily reminds me of that "Parker luck" from the comics. Each time something seemed to be too good to be true for Peter, bad luck wasn't so far behind. So anyway, with that being said, this is one of my favorite scenes of all-time. I always watch it whenever I feel depressed in life. It makes me realize that I am not alone, and that Peter Parker's been through some similar events. And guess what? He never gave up. He's always trying to be better.
Since I've quit Facebook, I've felt an enormous weight lifted off my shoulders. I just feel a lot happier, a lot more productive, and free from all the unnecessary turmoil and drama that the site gave me........It's up there as one of the best decisions I've ever made....EVER
Same here......I followed a lot of my college's groups on Facebook, and I admit it was pretty handy. But then I realised that they send us upcoming events and shit through email, so that kinda took away any reason to follow them on Facebook anymore.......sorry to hear you're finding it hard on the site too....
Elwood Blues We are not the only ones. A lot of people actrually get very depressing feelings from FB but it has a monopoly so everyone kind of needs to stick with it to stay in contact with many..
And his spiderman and peter Parker imo are good so what do you think about people saying that Tobey best Peter Andrew best Spiderman Tom both Like I disagree with that but what do u think

I like how Raimi never fails to capture just how dorky Peter Parker is. Right up till the freeze frame at the end with his dorky expression. Haha. This is just brilliant directing.
Can you imagine if the credits rolled at the end of this scene? The audience in the theater would give a standing ovation to this masterwork of a movie.
This scene is definitely my most favorite Spiderman Scene, it shows how happy Peter is when he realized that he never chose to be Spiderman, he is just Peter Parker, a teen ager that has no responsibilities at all, what a beautiful and a simple scene.
Yep what is so special about this movie is peter Parker I hated tom spiderman bcz he didn't had a bad life like this peter Tom spiderman have iron man helping him This peter have no one and have alot of problems: rent , money ,
@@igivemypredictionsonthegre2768 but I’m pretty sure that’s why they revealed Peter’s identity to the world. Now he won’t have anything Iron Man left him. He’s a war criminal now. @@DBdubbs I get you about seeing the origin story multiple times, but there's something shout Tom's spiderman that doesn't hit the spot. Honestly the story isn't bad, I just get weird vibes from the actor it feels like he's playing Tom not Peter Parker
Gabriel Mascitti Ikr. Best soundtrack of the Spider-Man 2. In fact, this song makes you enjoy a wonderful life. Awesome scene with Tobey Maguire as Peter Parker having a peaceful mode of the movie.😊🎵🎶🎼🎤
Behold, the power of editing. Raimi never intended this scene to have this song, or to have that freeze-frame at the end. It was just a joke made by the editor. But Raimi loved it, and here it is. :)
Interestingly I hadn’t listened to this song in awhile and have been playing it on repeat for several days now. So sad to here about Mr. Thomas. He left us with a great song, and a great film sequence. This song made this scene. Toby is my Spider-Man, always...
This is why Tobey is the best Spider-Man. He plays the dork perfectly. Everyone else looks too perfect. While Tobey is flawed and not perfect and grows into Spider-Man.
Yeah, and even though Tom Holland may seem inexperienced at times, he has Tony Stark and/or Happy to cover him, remember that ferry scene? While, Tobey had no one to help him, except for Harry at the end of Spider-Man 3.
He looks like a regular human being who deals real life everyday problems which has made him way more relateable than Adrew's and Tom's. To date the best live action interpretation of the character.
When i'm always got depressed in my life, i watch this movie all the time, because this movie made peter parker so relate to us, thank you Mr. Sam Raimi.
I think it’s kind of funny how white guys and self identifying incels can project onto comic book characters and will literally cry real tears if they don’t relate to them but whenever POC talk about wanting representation you guys are the same people who say “it’s just a movie!!! Stop being a SJW!!”. So how are you able to find the importance of a guy who made a career out of being an anthropomorphic spider but can’t seem to grasp the reason why POC want to see themselves on screen as well?
@@literallyfiguratively5658 "White guys" What race has to do with anything? I'd say taking inspiration from a fictional character that goes through the same problems as many of us, its pretty conforting. Guys can feel like this guy in this scene when they drop off toxic relationships, turn the table on anxiety and depression, etc. I'd have no problems with a new travestite super hero, as long as it doesn't ruin other heroes that were made to be that way.
Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse Spider-Man 2 Spider-Man: Homecoming Spider-Man: Far From Home Spider-Man 1 The Amazing Spider-Man Spider-Man 3 The Amazing Spider-Man 2 In order from best to worst. Top 2 were the toughest decision but I think the soundtrack of Into the Spiderverse pushed it over for me
This scene just pivoted and inspired me to finally pick myself up and get right.. Love these genuine movies, Sam Raimi definitely understood how to make his superhero movies genuinely relatable & pure.. it definitely has a better morale impact than modern movies today
I cant quite put my finger on it but I think the reason for why i like Toby as Spiderman is he captures the essence of a normal human being and thats real to me. Hes perfect for it.
In other words, Sam Raimi. That guy's style is so unique and full of passion, you can tell he loved making these movies. I don't even know who directs the MCU Spidey movies and I don't even care, they look an feel like every other MCU movie, so fking bland.
Tobey's Spidey just capture this essence of a normal everyday guy. He isn't bigger than life, he's not the most special person with special background, he's just a guy choosing to be a better person regardless of circumstances, and that is so inspiring
Sam Raimi took Stan Lee’s intended goal and basis idea of Spider Man, of having a relatable sh^tty life, with constant imbalance in his life, and inspiring the audience by having the resilience on display, and with no matter how many problems Peter Parker has to face from day to day living, he still pulls through it, and excels. We can all identify with Spider Man
That’s what makes the story of Spider-Man so noble yet bittersweet. He’ll never give himself a break because by just being Peter Parker for a little bit, people who could’ve been saved will die. His self sacrifice and selflessness is what makes him the best superhero of all time .
@@RaZrEvolutions True, but you can see why he needed this break. In this film, Peter was struggling to keep up his grades, maintain employment, and pay rent, and his personal relationships were suffering. And on top of that, most of the city that he had sworn to protect as Spider-Man didn't even appreciate it, and kept seeing him as a menace, thanks in no small part to Jameson's crap. So he needed this break to get his shit back together without the stress of having to worry about everyone else all the time. And the city needed the break too, because as I said most of them kept seeing and treating Spider-Man as a menace instead of a hero despite all he'd done for them. It wasn't until he quit and disappeared and the crime rate started rising that New York and its people realized how much he meant to them and how much they had taken him for granted. They needed this break to learn how to appreciate him.
@@oklik Exactly, everyone deserves some rest, or else, your mental health will get so messy that you won't be able to help anyone, not even yourself I get the point of his absurd selflessness, but it's a very unrealistic thing to encourage and/or achieve in real life

Agree. No Way Home was MCU's best spidey movie. But it never comes close to this masterpiece. Spider-Man 2 is the 2nd Best Superhero Movie Ever made after The Dark Knight.

@@kyleofficial324 Yeah.. I also dunno why. What I feel from this movie's story is, it's alive and connected from one scene to another, and the villains portrayals and backstory (why they could become that) was make sense. Not too silly and too much using technologies.

And that freeze frame 😂This type of charm and humor is something that we will never see again in a Spiderman movie. Sam Raimi's films are a work of art. (1 and 2)
anapolis I hope Ragnarok is kind of a turning point with these movies. But even Ragnarok 'muted' the fuck out of Waititi's style. Spider-man trilogy was total Raimi and they're awesome.
This is an excellent scene. It has a certain charm i cant really describe. Scenes like this is what's missing from a lot of superhero movies nowadays (especially the amazing spider-man movies). They are too focused on being dark and sad that they forget to add little happy scenes like this. This scene just adds to the reason as to why i think Spider Man 2 is the best superhero film ever made.
I agree, Spider-Man is a bit of a tragic character but there is a lot of lighthearted humor all throughout that makes him such a charming character. I hope the new Spider-Man is more like the Raimi version.
+Brown Spidey Honestly, The Amazing Spider-Man movies weren't that dark at all. They were just more like a movie, while the raimi films are more like a comic book.

He wasn't dead yet, if he was dead, he wouldn't have said the joke. In fact, he wouldn't have said anything, he would've been dead.
I agree that while maybe jokes shouldn't be thrown around here and there like they're some sort of spice at an 5-Star Italian Restaurant, sometimes humor lightens the mood, eases the tension. With some heroes, that's what they do, that's how they get through their day, they know very well what's going on.
@Starcrap 64 Ragnarok was understandably a little too comedic. As for Infinity War, I have no idea how having genocide shown, someone being thrown off a cliff, someone being tortured, and half the universe being wiped from existence is classified in the same category as Ragnarok.
Too bad 98% of those things are going to be reversed in the next movie also that doesn’t excuse the loads of unfunny garbage jokes that constantly ruin scenes also Visons gamora and Spider-Mans death are the funniest things in the movie
To a degree, Peter Parker is a relatable character at times in these 3 movies. The feeling of letting go of something holding you back is a good one and Raimi portrays it perfectly here.
But then realizing what you were letting go of made you who you were meant to be. At the same time, understanding that struggle makes life meaningful. Finding meaning in suffering.
And then, Spider-man 3 came along and people got what they asked for but not what they wanted. Can you believe that the symbiote broke faster that Peter? Turning him into Bully Maguire!
I think this is the reason why i just love Tobey's spiderman. He's a human person with stuff to do and a life to manage, he has problems with his studies, gets fired from his job, he can't get a relationship, he can't keep up the duo identity life that he wants to. It's just real and we can all understand his struggles and relate to him.
Yeah and we cheer for Peter Parker as much we cheer for spider man. Maybe even more for Peter. He is the main character in Raimi's movies. Even tho the title says "spider-man".
@@h3ctor272 They don't have to confirm, Marvel always do tricks with their teaser/trailers. When Doc Ock is saying "Hello Peter", he is talking to Toby Maguire's Spiderman, considering the fact when Tom Holland's Spiderman is suiting up, it's broad daylight and in that Doc Ock's scene, it's dark, the difference between the two background. I was always happy for Peter.

And i am just in love this comment ☺️
I feel the exact same about this scene. I watch this when I’m down and it’s really inspiring for me to when that Parker luck comes

That’s what makes the story of Spider-Man so noble yet bittersweet. He’ll never give himself a break because by just being Peter Parker for a little bit, people who could’ve been saved will die. His self sacrifice and selflessness is what makes him the best superhero of all time .
@@RaZrEvolutions true
Parking Entertainment
The first one didn't help with all the muted colors while the second ASM was a a lot better in tone.
Yeah, sure! You've translated what I think.
His happiness is so contagious and simple! I cannot describe it.
The best Spider-Man ever.
Seconded
True!
@@akashagarwal6935 seconded ? HAAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAGAHA.
Is the best.
Na spider man 1
Akash Agarwal you high???
When Superhero movies knew how to have fun sometimes, but did not crack joke every 3 seconds while people are dying.
Oden Girl
PHIL COULSON: Gets stabbed.. gonna die in few minutes
But doesn't know what his gun does.
Dies... And says "so that's what it does"...
Guy is already DEAD but still cracks a joke...
@@Thanos-hp1mw So? The guy decides to have a little chuckle before his untimely death, yes he gets revived, but he doesn't know that he's going to be as far as I'm aware.
When I was a kid, I felt this scene pretty boring, but now as an adult I understand this scene.
🚶🏾🌞still working in movie 🎦 🎶
To a degree, Peter Parker is a relatable character at times in these 3 movies. The feeling of letting go of something holding you back is a good one and Raimi portrays it perfectly here.
But then realizing what you were letting go of made you who you were meant to be. At the same time, understanding that struggle makes life meaningful. Finding meaning in suffering.
Niko Bellic Cousin lets go bowling
Let's go bowling
Thank you Stan Lee for making this hero. Without him this scene would never exist
Thanks to Stan The Legend Lee
Thanks To Saim Raimi
Thanks to Tobey Maguire
❤️😘😍😭❤️
And thanks Steve Ditko ;)
And obviously, thanks to BJ Thomas for the song.
Thank you Stan Lee. He created my all time favorite superhero. RIP STAN LEE
You mean Jack Kirby
"Excellent work today Parker, keep it up"
That's all I'm saying while watching in awe this masterpiece of a scene
And then, Spider-man 3 came along and people got what they asked for but not what they wanted. Can you believe that the symbiote broke faster that Peter? Turning him into Bully Maguire!
This is one of the most well directed and well acted scenes ever plus this song makes it more powerful
Yea you gotta love that in these films they show the best way of Peter struggling with his life of being Spiderman.
Yeah and we cheer for Peter Parker as much we cheer for spider man. Maybe even more for Peter. He is the main character in Raimi's movies. Even tho the title says "spider-man".
❤
Not like Holland’s Spider-Man when he have iron daddy’s money to help him around.
Me when I realize that Tobey is now apart of the MCU
Same bro.
Really?
@@kenzoud5679 do you live in a fucking cavern?
@@Francesco-ev6wl well its not confirmed yet....
That kind of editing is intentionally done, to throw us off, the viewers.
As kids we Want to be: Spider-Man
As teenagers we want to be: Bully Magiure
As Adults we want to be: Peter Parker.
Man most definitely true
Makes sense to me
i still want to be spiderman ...
The 3 stages of a man!
This is true. Having a huge responsibility on your life, you don't wanna have an additional huge responsibility like Spiderman since the cops can take care of that.
Spider-Man 2 was and still is masterpiece, and it will always be, I love this movie so much.
