There are lots of cool stuffs happened in The Dark Knight Trilogy but there is no emotional stakes, you don't really care about any characters.
But here in Spider-Man 2, it makes you care and feel.

@@ashokkumarganesan3927 Yea Dark Knight Trilogy has an amazing plot, and very compelling characters. But it's just hard to relate to the characters at the end of the day.
To be honest, Batman in general is a bit hard to relate to. A kid who senselessly lost his parents in a horrible tragedy, goes on to inherit and become a billionaire who's one goal is to prevent events such as that from occurring ever again. Interesting premise, but barely anyone in real life can relate, definitely sympathize, but not relate.

As kids we didn't understand this scene and we wanted spider man to come back.

It’s so interesting to me how scenes like this are what make this trilogy standout. Peter doing something as simple as being a normal person and trying to get his life together is so damn appealing.
The action scenes are amazing but something about Peter Parker just doing ordinary things makes it extraordinary. Scenes like this have the most heart and are so memorable. It’s a shame we don’t see something like this much in superhero films today.

It's impossible to describe how I love this scene. Peter Parker is such a relatable character.
Everyone can relate to Peter Parker. At least, I do. I am a 21yo university student who struggles to make time for everything (school, work, friends). I am an introvert (so I barely have any friends) and I'm still single. I thought my life was finally on the right track not so long ago. I had good grades, I had a new friend (who had a lot in common with me), etc. I hadn't felt that good in years.
But then, all of a sudden, my friend stopped replying to me, as if I had never existed. And I am back to square one. I feel so sad, like, I feel as if nothing ever works out for me and that I am not allowed to be happy. This funnily reminds me of that "Parker luck" from the comics. Each time something seemed to be too good to be true for Peter, bad luck wasn't so far behind.
So anyway, with that being said, this is one of my favorite scenes of all-time. I always watch it whenever I feel depressed in life. It makes me realize that I am not alone, and that Peter Parker's been through some similar events. And guess what? He never gave up. He's always trying to be better.

@@RaZrEvolutions True, but you can see why he needed this break. In this film, Peter was struggling to keep up his grades, maintain employment, and pay rent, and his personal relationships were suffering. And on top of that, most of the city that he had sworn to protect as Spider-Man didn't even appreciate it, and kept seeing him as a menace, thanks in no small part to Jameson's crap. So he needed this break to get his shit back together without the stress of having to worry about everyone else all the time.
And the city needed the break too, because as I said most of them kept seeing and treating Spider-Man as a menace instead of a hero despite all he'd done for them. It wasn't until he quit and disappeared and the crime rate started rising that New York and its people realized how much he meant to them and how much they had taken him for granted. They needed this break to learn how to appreciate him.

This is an excellent scene. It has a certain charm i cant really describe. Scenes like this is what's missing from a lot of superhero movies nowadays (especially the amazing spider-man movies). They are too focused on being dark and sad that they forget to add little happy scenes like this. This scene just adds to the reason as to why i think Spider Man 2 is the best superhero film ever made.

I agree, Spider-Man is a bit of a tragic character but there is a lot of lighthearted humor all throughout that makes him such a charming character.
I hope the new Spider-Man is more like the Raimi version.

I agree that while maybe jokes shouldn't be thrown around here and there like they're some sort of spice at an 5-Star Italian Restaurant, sometimes humor lightens the mood, eases the tension. With some heroes, that's what they do, that's how they get through their day, they know very well what's going on.

@Starcrap 64 Ragnarok was understandably a little too comedic. As for Infinity War, I have no idea how having genocide shown, someone being thrown off a cliff, someone being tortured, and half the universe being wiped from existence is classified in the same category as Ragnarok.

He's a human person with stuff to do and a life to manage, he has problems with his studies, gets fired from his job, he can't get a relationship, he can't keep up the duo identity life that he wants to.

When Doc Ock is saying "Hello Peter", he is talking to Toby Maguire's Spiderman, considering the fact when Tom Holland's Spiderman is suiting up, it's broad daylight and in that Doc Ock's scene, it's dark, the difference between the two background.
