Nobody has more experience handling humans with food than those California bears.

Funny how the dog knows what to do (make noise) and the human is telling to stop barking for the sake of filming.

Portable electric bear fences are a good idea when camping in bear country. The best one is 2.4 lbs and very capable, and easy to set up.

Mostly concerned with where the bear was headed in broad daylight. There were other campers and kids in the area. Have been there many times and seen bears there often. Scaring them off is the best bet. After the video ends, I walked to the other side alerting folks of his presence. The park staff came over soon after and scared him off.

Geez those Little California Black Bears 🐻🐻are real casual going about their activities. With the eventual West ward migration of Bear's meaning Grizzlies from GNP, and YSNP, along with Government Depts. placing of them in Old, & more traditional area's of Their past. Those California Touron's will have a much more exciting R&R experience in Their RV, & Camping site's. IT could come true in the up coming Year's. TKS.

I wonder about that too, sometimes. I live in Tahoe. I, also, wonder about the expansion of the wolves. There are now 2 established packs in California. Shasta, and Kings Canyon, the latter coming from Shasta pack. Few Mule Deer in the Basin, so maybe not too much of a concern. Brown Bears would be crazy scary, unlike our Black Bears.
